This was the best place I have been to to take my pup to get groomed. The store it's self offers a point system which if you spend enough, you get points off supplies and grooming. Literally everyone in the staff was very very helpful and help me find what I was looking for. My puppy just got groomed and she got carsick on the way home and one of the cashiers helped me look for something to make my dog feel better. I usually have issues with groomers because in the past they've been really aggressive with my dog and she would come home with cuts on her. Shelby was our dog groomer and she was amazing. She did such a great job and my dog felt really comfortable with her and now I won't take her anywhere else. Came here twice so far for grooming. read more

Grooming is the worst experience I had! The lady there is rude! Doesn't even know how to treat customers!

It saddens me that I must make this complaint because the convenience to this location is ideal for my loving dog and me. However, the grooming customer service is very poor. They over book dogs each day. They do not send reminder texts or calls about appointments hoping you will miss your so they can catch up throughout the day. When asking to speak to upper leadership they give you a generic customer service line that they say "May not get answered" That number is 866.477.7748, if you need it. Employees like Lindsey need coaching. When working with cute puppies all day, I can't understand why or how someone could have such a nasty attitude towards people. Kaitlyn tried to remedy the situation however I'm not sure her leadership skills are strong. Here's to hoping they can turn their team around so that our neighborhood has a place for our furry friends to go to. I will remove this comment once a member from management responds. TRISH IS VERY UNPROFESSIONAL, AN ANGRY PERSON, WHO SHOULD NOT BE ALLOWED TO GROOM DOGS OR INTERACT WITH CUSTOMERS. IN reading the reviews here, I see many people have had unfortunate experiences with this grooming salon which is why I decided to post this so that others, if they see a trend, will be protected from a bad experience. I have only posted two negative reviews in my life, with this being #2. It is not my style. As a business owner myself, I go to management and if that goes well, then that's good enough for me and, on the very rare occasion I even run into a problem at all, it almost ALWAYS goes well with management, hence the fact I've only posted 2 negative reviews in my life. The sad thing is I have had some great experiences at this location over the recent years, especially with Shelby, so if you must go here, always ask for Shelby (or Lynn). NEVER accept Trish; I truly believe Trish can't be trusted to be kind to people or animals. However, my experience last week with Trish, was over the top negative. First she was extremely unkind to my housekeeper (who is like family to me) when my housekeeper dropped off my dogs, and Trish basically called her a liar (sum and substance) when my housekeeper showed Trish the "haircut go-by" photo of my dog because Trish accused my housekeeper of using a picture that was NOT of my dog (it was of my dog, at my home, on my bed---it was Trish who was not being truthful). I believe my housekeeper being Hispanic and not able to speak conversational English contributed to Trish's bad treatment of her, talking down to my housekeeper, which is so disappointing and uncalled for. When I heard how badly Trish had treated my housekeeper, I went with my housekeeper to pick up the dogs. When we arrived, Trish had miscut my dog terribly (instead of a teddy bear cut on my Havanese it was a schnauzer cut) and again Trish insisted the photo of my dog wasn't my dog so now Trish was also calling me a liar. That was last week. I waited until today to speak to the manager but the manager was not provided to me. Instead a young woman was made available to me who said she was the assistant manager (but did not provide her name) and the conversation was very disappointing---she had an energy of only tolerating my concerns but not caring about mine and my housekeeper's experience at all. No apology was proffered by anyone (other than by Shelby who was not even involved or at fault, Shelby was just trying to make things right). My style is to remain calm, I remain kind and professional, always. So there was no angry energy with me---just concern and a need to have management be informed and provide some reassurance--a reassurance that was not forthcoming. I believe the dismissive look on this assistant manager's face and some of her representations demonstrated she was uncaring about the clientele--she clearly did not care if we were customers or not nor was she apparently concerned about what happened. This leads me to realize it is no longer safe for my animals for me to use this grooming salon--there is now a negative energy overall; it did not use to be this way, again, I've enjoyed the location since they opened in recent years. The deciding factor to quit going here was the woman represented as an assistant manager was clearly just tolerating hearing my experience. If she won't listen with some small measure of caring being evident, then I don't feel safe bringing my dogs---she may even allow Trish to mistreat my dogs and I can't risk them being abused; after all, she allowed Trish to mistreat me and my housekeeper with no apology. Shelby is great though so, again, if you must go to this location (Pet Supplies Plus Young Ranch), ask for Shelby and refuse Trish...for your pet's sake. Shelby will be kind, professional, and do a good job for your pet--Lynn is good, too. I've already found a great replacement groomer, recommended by my Vet so I'll never return to Pets Plus Young Ranch. read more

Service expected/scheduled: Bath and Brush Dog: Husky 9yr - extremely chill temperament Issue: POOR SERVICE - Denied Service - experienced lack of knowledge and effort by staff. Explained in detail below Lesson: A good customer experience and a customer will tell 5 people. A bad customer experience and a customer will tell 100!!! The Appointment: Appointment made on a Tue for the coming Friday. Received 2 texts from 2 different numbers confirming the appt. Received another confirmation text on Thurs from yet another number. Received a call (from another number) on Thurs asking to change appointment time to earlier on Friday, which we accepted. Received a text on Friday (from yet another number) cancelling the appointment on the same day. Received a call to reschedule the appointment. We rescheduled for Monday. Received 2 more texts on Friday to confirm the Monday appt (ALL these texts were from all different numbers). Keep reading.. The dog: Indoor living. Large very very very hairy husky. If brushed, the next day it doesn't look like she was brushed. Year round shedder. I'll emphasize the thickness of the undercoat "thick". Likes to talk. Will rar rar when she is brushed. Likes to talk. We have used Pet Supplies Plus two other occasions without issues. We even paid for the higher service because of the amount of brushing. The staff was great the other times, for example, "commented that they brushed the Husky as much as humanly possible." Did a great job too! Christmas past, the team took brushed hair (all white) and made a foot-tall snowman, which was on display in the window. Dog baths and brushing occur every couple of weeks, no less than monthly at home. Brushing more frequently. Indoor dog. The non-service: Needed bath due to travel/time/need following several days of rain, and it was time. We occasionally breakdown and pay for service. There was no mud, filth, grime, ... just general indoor-dog dirt AND there was a whole lot of hair. UPON arrival to the groomer section we were told this is very very bad. Taking in stride, (For Husky owners...) we were then asked if we were getting a shave. PAUSE. I asked, "a shave?" Was told again, "this is very very bad." PAUSE. To which, I said, "you say, bad, like its a negative thing." "Yes, this hair is very think and matted." PAUSE. This is when I said, "oh, please never shave a husky's hair." (okay, there's medial exceptions.) AND the undercoat is very thick and NOT matted. Thick. I was again suggested to shave the husky and that was the only thing that they could do. I advised that we've been here previously, know the hair is thick. NOT matted. Again requested only the bath and as best as possible brush. "Do you want a shave?"... "No. Please don't suggest shaving a husky." I asked just for the bath and brush and the employee said let me get a/the manager. I listened to the employee describe the situation, which now included comments about system notes that the husky does not like to get brushed. Probably the rar rar mentioned above, which is why I mention it. The manager, doubled down on the matted hair and asked if I wanted a shave. UGH. I advised, we have been here before, the hair is not matted, it is the way she, the husky, is made. It requires a bit extra brushing, we'll pay for the extra brushing (had the last time). "Sorry, there nothing we can do unless you want to shave her." Conclusion: This customer perception is the company's adversity to a little work / elbow grease / effort to accomplish a task specific to a service offered. We will not be back. And will share the story. This is not a franchise I'll be supporting. The team has done a great job previously. The prior bath and brushes were done as best as humanly possible, with this Husky's thick hair. The resistance to the service was very surprising. If I could be lazy and want to take my pet somewhere for a bath and wash, then I suppose they could be lazy and not want to make the effort either. Pet Supplies Plus is conveniently located near me, and the staff are always friendly and helpful when I visit. However, as a cat parent, I wished they had a larger selection of cat items. A majority of the store is catered towards dogs, and they don't have a large selection of brands when it comes to kitten food. However, their prices tend to be more affordable than some other pet stores since they send lots of coupons in the mail, and always host sales in stores. Once my kitten transitions onto cat food, this store will be my primary go to, but for now, I mainly shop here for the occasional toy or snack for my kittens. read more

I really wanted to like this place for dog grooming, they are literally 4 minutes from home, but when we go to Petsmart in Fulshear we are enthusiastically greeted, the groomer oohs and ahhs over my dog and everyone is super friendly. Not so here. They are very businesslike and just kind of "blah". If I worked here, I'd be all over petting the dogs.. I guess some people will appreciate the dogwash and the supplies so close to home, and if you don't really care about the demeanor, this might be a place to get your dog groomed. I don't know because the groomer said my dog had too many knots to do anything other than shaving (although I have never had this issue at other places, maybe they work the knots out and only cut the large ones at those and here they don't take the time?) and she looks like a rat :-( so not sure what quality is like normally. For me, I'll drive all the way to Fulshear where I know my business is appreciated and my dog gets some love. read more

I have called several times to ask the manager, Kaitlin, questions about the free delivery/curbside service and she is always courteous and helpful. They have a self service dog wash with everything that I needed to get my dog looking and smelling clean again. It was so convenient and they were so friendly and they even cleaned up my mess. The groomers are a joke. They have you by the balls and band you for any little issue you have. You are not allowed to speak your mind and they do not work with you on scheduling. They screw you over no matter what and other than Randy who is an awesome groomer this place sucks. People only go there for convenience. Missed two appointments due to being stuck at work late and they band me and don't want my business. Had an issue with the haircut a year ago and said something. The groomer got her feelings hurt and my dogs were band from the groomers. All because nails were not cut and they were asked to cut them since you know it's included in the price. The manager wants blame the customer for anything versus having her groomers have responsibilities like adults. I do admit I missed two appointments. I offered to pay since they do work on commission. To band a customer over that is ridiculous. They act like they are god of dog services just cause of the location. read more

I absolutely LOVE coming to this store! Normally I don't do reviews but there's just something about these people when you walk in. You can really tell everyone there genuinely loves their job and wants to help. I was really impressed with their selection of products for guinea pigs. My little guy Snickers was so happy that I finally changed his bedding and got him some new toys (lol). I also noticed they had a self service wash area for dogs which seemed pretty cool. Ended up talking to their groomer about my little shihtzu I have at home who is a pain for brushing. She was so kind to take time to speak with me and recommend the right brushes even though she was in the middle of grooming another dog. The whole experience from the moment I walked in to the moment I walked out was fantastic. I'm so glad you guys came to the neighborhood! read more
