a view of a small town

I may be a little biased for this place since it is the saloon is located at one of my favorite places in California but I'll try to be objective , this is a tiny place but with a much larger outdoor setting area , the serve assorted beer, fountain drinks, and bottled stuff as for food the pizza is surprisingly good, hotdogs just ok but hey for 2 bucks what do you expect . They also have chips and sweet nuts over all i love it here because it's the only spot in town where you can walk in the double swinging saloon doors and feel like a cowboy in town give them a shot , come in maybe order a cold beer or get the refill mug 10 free refills after that its .25 cents per refill and yeah grab some pizza and chill at a ghost town.

Finally made it to Ghost Town after years and years of seeing signs on the way to Vegas. I made it a point to stop before getting my bday celebrations started in LV. It's a cute little attraction site, it has a museum, a train ride, and best of all a Saloon! Couldnt leave without making a pitstop for a Blue Moon which they have on tap. They also have 805, Mango Cart, Coors, Bud Light, death valley pale ale and some others I cant recall on tap. Large beers were 8 bux a piece. Come get your drink on, and possibly get into a duel if someone gets in your face.

Good cold beer! Oh and sasparilla!

Fun old school saloon with pictures of the old west! It could use a little updating but I don't think that's the look they're going for here. Good snacks, cold sarsaparilla, and a couple of beers on tap. Let the kids go pan for gold and sit down in the beer garden where you can watch them with a cold beverage in your hand.

    Nice Lil saloon

(4.25 STARS)…read more Memorial Day road trips always seem to create the best random discoveries, and Pit Stop Bar & Grill absolutely delivered. Tucked away off Victor Street in Barstow, this was a fun find while driving back to Los Angeles from Vegas over Memorial Day weekend. Big props to Haley M., who was basically running a one-woman show and somehow kept the entire place moving with a great attitude and solid service. That alone made the stop memorable. The location has a cool, laid-back vibe with plenty to keep people entertained while grabbing food and drinks. They've got two billiards tables, a dart board, and all kinds of classic bar games, board games, and card games, including UNO, which is a family favorite. They also have several televisions. The food was all good too. I really enjoyed the Green Chili Burger, and everyone else in my party seemed genuinely happy with their meals as well. I felt they were trying to nickel and dime when I got the bill, i was charged for a side of ranch, a side of BBQ, and had no idea I was being up charged for the onion rings. I didn't say a word, but it hit wrong with me. .75 points deducted. What especially stood out to me, though, was the Memorial Day place setting displayed near the front entrance honoring our veterans and fallen heroes. It was simple, respectful, and genuinely touching. See my picture. That detail said a lot about the heart behind this place. If you're making the Vegas-to-LA drive and want something more memorable than the usual freeway fast-food stop, this place is definitely worth checking out. Great atmosphere, friendly energy, and one of those spots you end up talking about later.

Being my first time I like to gauge the staff/table ratio ti get an idea on wait time for service. While waiting for my friend, I noticed a large table off to the side having drinks and playing a card game. I was impressed seeing that they were consistently getting rounded on by their server. Finding out this was a family run small business made this even more impressive as it was a full house. Additionally, it felt like the entire bar was excitedly watching the FIFA game, which was surprising because the difference in noise level from the outside of the building was significant. From the bar perspective, the bartenders were so kind (A), provided short/sweet conversation and excellent recommendations (A+), AND gave us time to look over the menu without being pushy (A++). I tried the lavender buzz and the oso espresso martini, my girlfriend had a lavender lemonade seltzer both being DELICIOUS. We Comfortable chairs, bathrooms and business were clean, and water is available at any time by the door with a self serve station. Overall, great spot, amazing staff, great variety of beers and seltzers, the pizzas are killer, the nachos were perfect, cocktails were a hit, great space for watching a game or hosting a group apparently, and even better for a date night! Stoked to have a place like The Bear Trap in Big Bear. Already planning our next trip.

Both times I have been here, I've been treated with a level of disrespect that I have rarely experienced at a restaurant. On this visit, we had a party of five. Although the signs say to seat yourself, a waitress stopped us and asked us to wait while she found us a table. That was perfectly fine. What was confusing was that the restaurant appeared to be only about half full, and I could see at least four larger tables sitting completely empty in the room where we were standing. The waitress offered another table in a different section, but it was still covered with dirty plates and leftover food from the previous guests. She explained that they would also need to place an additional chair in the aisle for our group and said she needed to check with the manager first. Then the manager came out. Before we even had an opportunity to explain anything or ask a question, he immediately began speaking to us in an insulting and confrontational manner and told us we would have to wait approximately 30 minutes for a table. We told him that was fine--we simply wouldn't wait and would go somewhere else. That should have been the end of the interaction. Instead, as we were leaving, he continued following us toward and out the door, mocking us and saying that we were all going to "cry" because we couldn't sit in his restaurant. I genuinely cannot understand treating customers this way, especially customers who had already calmly decided to leave rather than argue about the seating situation. One bad experience can happen anywhere. Two visits with disrespectful treatment is a pattern. There will not be a third.
