We Love A Simple Touch Spa! This is the second year in a row that we've been here for our girls' weekend and everything is just always so divine. I've had Julie two years in a row now and she is just so sweet and amazing at her work--highly recommend her! She does a great Swedish with hot stones......... Four of us got Swedish massages and we all came out of there looking completely disheveled, but at peace. Lol! They offered us oranges and water afterward which was a nice touch, and the location is top-tier since you can just walk to lunch or wherever you're going next. WOW! I just had the most incredible massage from Lillie! I was holding onto a gift card from my last birthday. I called to make an appointment for this birthday and owner, Jin, was super responsive and communicative. We scheduled a 75 min hot stone massage, but when I chatted with Lillie about areas of the body to focus on, she customized the massage to my needs and didn't end up using the hot stones, other than a few as heating elements to rest on my body. She and Jin were so kind to adjust the price down as the massage I got was a bit cheaper. As a fitness instructor, I love anatomy and learning about the human body. Lillie is beyond knowledgeable, and super passionate about what she does. I told her that I sometimes get tension between my eyes and she explained that it could come from my eyeglass prescription being slightly off, or it could come from jaw tension and tension in my neck and pectoral muscles! Fascinating! It all makes sense. Loved Lillie's energy and her balance of gentle and firm massage. This sweet spa is conveniently located in downtown Healdsburg, across from the Police Station, just tucked down an alley. The space was clean and peaceful. I can't wait to go back! Reed was an absolute delight. From his intuition to his knowledge, I thoroughly enjoyed the massage I got from him. I had booked with A Simple Touch after experiencing a sporadic pain in my left neck and shoulder. I don't remember when I last had a massage. And yet, recently, a short stay in Healdsburg to help unwind after the most challenging year in my adult life somehow led me to get a massage, given some hamstring and lower back issues helping a loved one get better from legs injuries (I've been pushing her wheelchair around recently, not to mention loading and unloading her stuff and mine from the car). Oh and I run a lot, and maybe was pushing myself as a stress reliever (I'm 57, maybe not a good idea). So "A Simple Touch Spa" showed up on Yelp - and there was an appointment available with Jin, the owner. What a wonderful, caring masseuse she is - special focus on my big issue around a slow-healing, quick to reinjure hamstring (thanks to some crazy hill runs!) and general fatigue and sore spots from the wheelchair and home health challenges for my wife recently. A bit of history - massages are always kind of hit or miss for me. My experience is that a few really intuitive masseuses easily target the tough spots (including the ones they find!), but it took Jin to really zero in on what was ailing me - and then she found the right treatment for each area. Jin just had the right healing touch for me, because (1) I felt a hell of a lot better after, and (2) I think the massage released a lot of crap that, kind of ironically, made me feel worse later but much better after the fact. A good massage isn't rocket science, but a great one is so dependent on the nuanced and attuned expertise of a master masseuse. I left feeling like this is what I always imagined massage should and could be, but for some reason, it just hit home today. This is a beautiful massage spa owned by a warm, caring and connected expert. If you're in town, and interested (or desperate) to get a massage, I can't imagine a better choice. It's not a stretch to surmise that her team reflects her values and in that, my highest rating is justified even after one massage. I so far have tried most of the therapists there and not once had an issue or a dissatisfaction with them! They are the best! -- some of the therapists I would like to include are below: Patrica is a very sweet person who cares and offers a smooth touch to you massage, she goes out of her way to make it comfortable for you and that says a lot. She has been my mom's favorite. Julie is also very nice, she is great with doing facials and is also good with massages, she is very spirited and I enjoy having conversations with her while getting a facial. Was in the area on a girls trip, celebrating my Birthday and thought we had to have a little pampering while we were up here. Jin and her team were all fantastic. Forgive me, as I'm horrible about remembering names. But we arrived about 20 minutes early and they took us early, too! That was a pleasant surprise. My girlfriend and I both booked a 1 hour massage and 30 minute facial. My massage was one of the best I've ever had. I was so relaxed and at ease that I even fell asleep during the massage (something I NEVER do). For the next two days my neck and back felt WONDERFUL (before normal stress and blah set back in). My facial was lovely as well. My skin was so soft and glowing afterwards. I really appreciated that there wasn't a sales pitch for skincare items at the end either - and that she didn't talk through my facial about the products she was using. Sometimes I find that to be quite distracting and it takes away from the relaxing atmosphere. Also loved that it was organic. All of the ladies were so sweet and friendly.
