Received my bill MONTHS later, only to find I was billed $535 for a set of these terrible inserts that are the same as ones I could have gotten at CVS. The total bill for a WART is $841 after insurance, bringing the bill to $1367. I contacted the billing department who then told me they would contact the front office staff and I received no response. I then called a second time and still have received no response from the front office, until today when I received another bill in the mail. My suggestion- find a different practice with a less rude office staff and more clear communication.

I recommend coming early as a new patient to fill out the in-take form. They charge a $25 fee for late appointments with a 15 minute grace period and no fee for rescheduling. I saw Dr. Wenjay Sung - he's fantastic! Dr. Sung is super knowledgeable, gave thorough recommendations, described cause and effects of conditions, and explained how my insurance worked in a clear/concise manner. I really appreciate how he took his time. However, appointment times are somewhat unpredictable in terms of when you'd see the doctor. I saw the doctor after 30 minutes of my actual appointment time, so make sure to plan for flexibility. Overall, this is a great podiatry that I'd love to come back to.

From the beginning, she made me feel comfortable and confident that I was in the right hands. After one year of consistent treatment under her care, she was able to fully help me resolve a severe fungal condition that I had been dealing with for years. Dr. Yousefpour is highly experienced, professional, and uses advanced laser technology for skin and nail conditions, which made a significant difference in my results. If you've been putting off getting help, I strongly encourage you to take that step with her. She is knowledgeable, supportive, and truly delivers results, 100% recommended.

I had a very frustrating experience with this office's billing and refund process…read more For my daughter's first visit on 2/27, I was charged $182 in addition to the copay, even though I specifically asked whether this doctor was in-network. The front desk confirmed that it was. When I questioned why I was being charged $182, I was told that if there was any overpayment, I could bring the EOB back to the office for a refund once I received it. I even asked if I needed to bring the EOB statement back in person for the refund, and the front desk said yes, adding that "you will be coming back anyway." For the follow-up visit on 3/11, I was charged another $90 and was again told to wait until I received the Blue Shield EOB and then bring the EOB to the office to request a refund. I understand that refunds may require a process, and I am completely fine with that. However, the front desk communication was very unprofessional and caused unnecessary inconvenience. After receiving the EOB, I called ahead and clearly told the front desk that I was calling about a refund. Since I had originally been told to bring the EOB to the office for the refund process, I wanted to confirm before going. The front desk specifically told me that the office would be open on Wednesday. I even confirmed with her by asking, "So I can come in on Wednesday directly for the refund?" and the front desk lady said yes. She also asked whether I had already received the EOB, and I confirmed that I had. However, when I went to the office on Wednesday, the office was not open at all and no one was there. Only after I called again did she tell me that I did not need to come in for the refund and that it could be handled over the phone. If the refund could have been handled by phone, this information should have been communicated during my first call instead of asking me to come in person. This caused unnecessary inconvenience and wasted my time. Patients' time should be respected, and they should not be asked to make unnecessary trips because of poor communication. Update 04/18/2026 The clinic did not respond to my review on Yelp. Their response was posted on Google instead. For transparency and completeness, I am sharing their response here so others can see the full context. My child had two visits at this clinic. During both visits, no medication or merchandise was provided. The first visit involved an X-ray, and the second visit was a follow-up. Update 04/19/2026 You claimed an ointment was given, Please provide proof (receipt or video). What was the ointment, and how do you justify the $85 charge?

The clinic has a very warm, family-friendly atmosphere, and everyone was kind, patient, and supportive. The entire team made what I was anxious about feel safe and comfortable. I lived with constant pain and tenderness from an ingrown toenail for over 20 years. Twenty years of discomfort, frustration, and failed treatments from multiple doctors left me feeling hopeless. I honestly thought this was something I would just have to live with forever. Dr. Nguyen is incredibly compassionate, patient, and exceptionally knowledgeable. She listened, explained everything clearly, and treated me with such care and respect. My insurance company, UCLA Medicare Advantage Prestige Program identified Dr. Michael Avakian as…read morethe appropriate podiatrist to treat my feet (multiple broken toes) because I have bone cancer. He has stellar reviews. And I immediately understood why: he came himself to let me in the side gate next to the handicapped spot. He was surprised to see me with only one shoe. I explained that the pain was so severe that I could not get a shoe on my left foot and was wearing a Bomba sock instead. But from the moment I encountered the staff my " appointment " for which I had waited THREE WEEKS was a travesty. They had no record of my appointment (which had been made directly by my insurance company) nor could they find the materials I had texted to the office at their instruction 3 weeks earlier. It turns out, after a very unpleasant exchange that I had " texted " to their email address. They did, in fact, have it. Calls were made to the Medical group at UCLA (not the people who could help me) and finally I myself called the line reserved for Prestige plan patients (we pay a modest fee to the medical group to have help navigating the complex health system). Without reviewing my extensive records the representative (Brittany) could not help me immediately. I asked for a supervisor (Patricia) who for obvious reasons was apologetic but also unable to help. Since the staff had treated me like a criminal in the office--no appointment, no insurance, no right to be there (could it have been that they assumed only a homeless person would walk around with one shoe and one sock) I decided to leave and call my insurance company from home. Dr. Avakian, who had heard the entire saga from his office, followed me out to the street to apologize. He seems like a kind and competent man. But his staff is rude and careless. At home I was able to reach my regular navigator, Andrea, but my appointment in Westwood is not until January 2! By then my ties will either have healed or dropped off. This is the fault of modern healthcare not Dr. Avakian. His staff is a serious obstacle to getting appropriate treatment, but I am confident that if you can tolerate their rudeness your reward will be a capable and thoughtful podiatrist.
