You also get to experience a part of history visiting here as Bula is St.Petes original and first Kava bar! The people working and visiting here are so incredibly authentic- it's hard to find anything quite like it. I love Kava bars and in all my experiences traveling visiting them. There is no place like this gem. It's a great place to hang out for the day and truly do whatever. They have a cozy outdoor patio, bar area, indoor cafe, and they recently added an addition in the back with a covered patio area with a fire pit and outdoor couches. They even have a cool game room area that you can hang out in to get some peace and quiet if you're working on a hot Florida day. It was midday on a weekend, (Apr 2026), and they were serving a short lunch menu. We got a handful of savory beef empanadas with strong black brightly flavored espresso, one with a splash of almond milk. We were tempted by their nitro cold-brew, but instead moved on to chomp on fun zingy chili-lime yucca fries with chipotle aioli, completely compatible with ice-cold Pacifica Clara pilsner and Modelo lager from among craft and classics on-tap. This is a pleasant spot for a Saturday or Sunday midday retreat. We gotta come back in the evening (Thu-Sun) when we're cool enough for their speakeasy :-)
