I brought my crazy pup here for a DIY bath - so perfect. There are 2 large, enclosed tubs (with ramps for them to walk up), with shampoo, ear cleaner, cotton swabs and towels to make everything easy as pie. The woman working was extremely pleasant and helpful. She explained how to use everything, best techniques, and even let me use the dryer in the back. My dog is a rescue and can be super anxious, but she was so understanding and even ran over to help me calm him down so it wasn't nearly as stressful as I thought it would be! We used to be regulars here until they stopped accepting poodle mixes for grooming. This was unfortunate because Lily's was very close to our house, and we would get our dog food here (FROM), use the bath service, and schedule regular grooming. We had recommended several people here- sad. The prices were decent for grooming and the quality was high, but when they stopped accepting poodle mixes it really rubbed us the wrong way. Our mini goldendoodle now goes to Little Brown Dog, and they have told us he was very easy- temperament wise, and also because of our diligent brushing and upkeep of his coat. I understand this is not the case with many doodle owners, though. Many neglect their doodle's coats which makes for very difficult grooming ... it takes extra time- which in turn makes for a more expensive price tag for the customers. If Lily's was experiencing this problem, which I suspect was the case, why not simply charge more for those dogs? That is what every other salon does - if there is matting and added time required/ because the dog's coat is in bad shape...that is an added charge. If the customer doesn't like it, they dont come back. But no need to ban the rest of us. Cute toys, accessories and in a great location. Wish we felt more comfortable going back, but we will (and have) take our business elsewhere. read more

We are so happy we finally found a reasonably priced, friendly, clean, caring dog groomer! They did a great job with our long haired pup. She came back so soft, trimmed well and smelling nice. They have a cute boutique with a variety of dog food and toys. They immediately got down on the ground with our pup to get acquainted and gave her a few cookies. This super cute dog boutique just opened in the Sunnyside/Highlands neighborhood. They offer doggie self-wash or full grooming. Plus, a variety of super premium natural foods and treats, all U.S. made (and lots of Colorado made treats and bones too!) I just had my Golden retriever groomed there and she looks amazing, and she wouldn't stop begging for the yummy treats they have next to the tubs and at the register. The owner was so sweet and attentive. This is a great addition to an awesome area of Denver. read more

Update!!! I took my Westie back in for a grooming. They did an EXCELLENT job!!! I appreciate that they are attentive of his demeanor. I brought my dog here for a nail trim and both the assistant and the owner took way too long getting my dog ready for the service. By the time they were ready to trim his nails, he was already anxious. The owner then said they needed to muzzle him, otherwise they couldn't do the trim. This was after they put a thunder shirt on him, claiming it would calm him, but it had the opposite effect. Overall, I did not feel that this shop had competency servicing my pup. Nice things to buy, but I definitely would not recommend them for services. read more

I didn't know how awesome Lily's was until we tried the new groomer around the corner from our house. Our Aussie mix Ash is the first dog I've ever owned that requires some trimming. We've taken him to Lily's since January when we first got him. They always clean up/trim his long haunches, tail and scruff, but leave him with a pretty, natural look -- without any guidance from us. So I assumed his look would be what any groomer would do. We took Ash to the new place in our hood and they pretty much butchered him. His longish elegant hair is now chopped up in short swirls...just ugly, really. I guess Lily's groomers must really know how a breed like this should look! Never again. Back to Lily's we will go -- forever -- even though it is a bit more expensive, a bit farther, and harder to get into! Can't wait for Ash's hair to grow out so Lily's can do their thing. read more

If you advertise that you close at 6pm, you should actually wait until then to close. I showed up with my dog at 5:05pm and was told they had already closed up the dog bath. I get the desire to go home early on a Friday night, but having made a special effort to go to that neighborhood to give my dog a bath, it's extremely annoying to be told an hour before closing time that I'm too late. read more

I come here to get my dogs nails clipped. She has very long quicks and requires someone patient and understanding. She has always had a very positive experience here. Love this place for both self service dog wash and grooming services! Staff here are extremely welcoming and go out of their way to help with whatever it is that we need. My husband and I have been coming here for over a year now and we will continue to come well into the future. Self use stations are kept really clean and tubs are perfect for our little Brussels griffin and standard labradoodle... and could easily accommodate your largest breeds! Self service stations also have little jars of treats to bribe your pet throughout their bath! Full service grooming is provided by a group of super friendly people as well (and it's clear that they truly love the work they do!)... their positive energy make this a happy place for our dogs! Having the option to groom on your own pup is awesome because our dogs are a little skittish, and Lynn made a point to get to know each dog so she could build a relationship for future drop off groomings! I took my "kids" to Lily's today...they were in very desperate need!! Lynn and Gabby (sp?) were fabulous! River, an Anatolian Shepherd, is always very anxious when it comes to grooming. Kenosha, a ferel rescue, is afraid of every thing and most everyone! I'm sure the CBD oil (happy they offer it as a calmative) helped them to be more calm than usual, but, moreso, I think it was Lynn and Gabby who helped most in keeping them feel safe, comfortable, and not traumatized!
