DO NO TAKE YOUR DOG HERE TO GET GROOMED. STAT AWAY! I have taken my dog here since we rescued him 6 years ago. However, I will never come back here ever again. To start, I noticed that when I picked my dog up his face was trimmed extremely short. When I spoke with the groomer at drop off. We agreed we would give him his usual round cut. Not a big deal- hair will grow back. He still looked cute. Later the next day my husband noticed my dog was not opening up his eye. He noticed a dark red mark under his eye and just assumed it was stain-which is normal. So he continued to try to clean around his eye and realized it wasn't a stain ,it was cut. Then he took a closer look and noticed our dog had another noticeable nick on the same side of his face. I understand accidents happen and wasn't upset about the mistake. I was more upset that it happened and the groomer didn't communicate that to me. I immediately called and spoke with a young gentleman on the phone about my grooming experience. I was not upset at this point. I just wanted to speak with someone to see what happened so I knew what happened my dog and what to look out for. I sent him over two photographs showing where my dog had been nicked. He was very kind and took down my information and said he would call the manger/owner. When he called me back he said that his boss would be calling me back the next day. And that he was taking this very seriously. I said , thank you before hanging up the phone. Cut to the following evening. No one had reached out or contacted me. So I called back. The same person picked up and sounded confused when I told him his boss never reached out to me. He then told me, he had told his boss what happened and he should be reaching out to me. That was on Saturday. 3 days later I had still not heard back from anyone. So I called back in the morning hoping to hear something, anything.A very kind young woman answered and I very calmly and patiently retold what had happened. She took down my information and said she would let her boss know. I told her when her boss called me and I didn't answer to leave a voicemail. Cut to - later that day 45 minutes before they close. I still had not heard back from anyone. At this point I am starting to feel like I am intentionally being ignored. It has now been 5 days since I first contacted them to let them what had happened to our dog. This time a different male picked up the phone. I am assuming it was the owner or the manger. He had my information and knew why i was calling. He listened to what I had to say. But then followed it up with he spoke with the groomer she said my dog had goopy eyes and she did her best to clean his eyes. Which wasn't the issue. The issue was the cuts on his face left by the groomer and lack of accountability and avoidance. I said I had been bringing my dog there for years and am a loyal customer. To which he said , I see you have been bringing your dog in on and off for a few years. He then mentioned that my dog's grooming habits. Insinuating that I only bring my dog in a few times a year that the injury could've been from the lack of grooming on my end..... ummmm excuse me!!!! I wipe and groom our dog everyday. He is shitzu and HAS TO BE brushed often otherwise he gets tangled within a month. He also has to receive drops in eyes so I am constantly looking at his face and those cuts weren't there before. I know our dog's face. I would have noticed those marks on his face. I also said him if he had spoken to the groomer why no one had contacted me for days!? I know accidents happen. It wasn't the mistake it was lack of accountability and how rude the 3rd person I spoke with was(assuming it was manger/owner since he said he had spoken to the groomer about this)It was waiting 5 days without communication when my dog has cuts on his face. It was the rude comments by the manger implying that since I only go there 2-3 times a year I wasn't important enough for them to want to accommodate me or apologize.I do normally not leave bad reviews the way this was handled was so wrong

She missed about 5 of the Mats under his neck, but I don't mind finishing someone else's work

I've been getting my cat shaved once a year, there for 5 maybe 6 years. Usually get a lions cut, because he's a Maine Coon and it fits his personality. If you know the breed they have lots of long hair, and sometimes the undercoat can get matted. This year the groomer complained that we didn't want his nails trimmed, "he's a mouser bc I live in a Victorian" After the cut she said she would never trim our cat again bc he scratched her. I'll let you know in a year if the company that charges $160 a cut for 1 cat will be willing to have us back. My bet is, Yes, and the groomer is working somewhere else.

Cuts on dogs ear - groomer did not mention anything

Groomer left deep cuts behind both ears that left an open wound. Groomer did not mention anything during pickup, watched us tip over 20 percent. Reported to the office the next morning. The manager was notified and never reached out to me despite calling multiple times. My dog now shakes every time we get in the car to go anywhere.

I started taking my dog Obi to this location for grooming services because they are not currently backlog like many other groomers in the area. Obi is an Aussiedoodle and they always do a good job of cutting his hair exactly as requested. Sammy was our preferred groomer but after her departure we've seen other staff and never had any issues. They offer a "rewards" program which is great considering the frequency Obi needs to be groomed.

I'm a little nervous about this place because of all the bad reviews in 2020... but it's next door to my place. Do you have to call to book? Or can you book online? I would want an email confirmation and all that, but it looks outdated on website

Hello! Please call the shop directly as on line booking does not work well for our business. With regards to the reviews you cited, we are the largest private dog groomers (between our stores) in the state and tend to get a ton of reviews.…

The problem I've found with a lot of groomers is they are booked 6+ weeks out. Unfortunately, when I need to book a groom it's most likely b/c I've spilled queso or some other drippy snack in my dog's head hair and I need a groomer today, not 6 weeks from now. Woof in Boots was able to get me in the same week I called. When I dropped her off I spoke with the groomer and explained my dog's new anxiety contributed to her recent diagnoses of Cushing's Disease. My dog is now a nervous nelly when I bring her to the groomers. I felt very comfortable leaving my dog here. The groomer assured me she would stop immediately if it got to be too much for my old lady. My dog was done in less than 2 hours (I've bene places where they've kept her for 5+ hours). When I picked her up she was free roaming in the secure doggy area. She had her tongue hanging out and seemed happy. I loved that she was cage-free after her groom since she has PTSD from all her surgeries (and being caged). I will definitely be back for all my grooming needs - and most likely day care as well!

The Sunday I went there was lots of parking in front and along the side streets. The facility itself seemed to need some attention & upkeep - the front glass window was cracked & the inside lobby looked a bit disorganized. In addition, customers are not allowed to tour the facility. As with most boarding places, all dogs need to have an evaluation before a reservation can be made. At this facility dogs have daycare with boarding. There is no charge for the evaluation. I made my evaluation time for drop off at 10am & pick up at 2pm on a Sunday. Thank goodness I received a reminder text the morning of because the text also said the lobby is closed from 10-4pm on Sundays. No one mentioned this when I made the appointment. I would have been very disappointed had I gotten there & it was closed. I did call & they asked if I could be there a little early & someone would be in the lobby for pickup at 2pm. I was not happy at pickup when I discovered poop all over one side, by the ear & neck on one of my dogs. The employee was surprised & apologetic, he took her in the back & gave her a bath. The employee was very friendly & personable. At Woof & Boots he said they try to be accommodating & flexible. For example, if some dogs like people more (than dogs) they allow them to hang out with the staff in the lobby, which is gated. They also offer the Bordetella Vaccine for $35 & provide a First Day Report Card with picture of your dog(s).
