Came here with a bridal party day before a wedding. We booked for approx 10 people ahead of time and they were very accommodating. The reason for 4 stars instead of 5 was that it did feel a bit chaotic; during the middle of my pedicure the man taking care of me swapped out with another nail tech, and my manicure was rushed through to the point that they skipped the lotion/massage part of the manicure. The employees definitely made it known that our large group was stressing them out. That is the trade off of coming with a big group I suppose. The salon was very clean, lots of polish choices. Nails to love! I enjoyed having my nails and toes done by Anthony and his uncle. It was a special occasion, and they "nailed it!" Make an appointment and get ready to be pampered. Please bring cash to tip but feel free to pay with a debit or credit card. Gel on toes and hands was $72 but my nails still look great even after two days of the beach and ocean and packing up to move my daughter! This place is fantastic. Being a local in St. Augustine, I have been to just about EVERY SINGLE nail salon in town. I was impressed by my nail tech (Anthony) and how personable he was! It was so nice to actually be able to converse with the person doing my pedicure...and not just play on my phone the while time. I opted for the deluxe with hot stones and sugar scrub and it was amazing... Massage is the best part for me, and he nailed it!!! I will most definitely be coming back to this salon... On a Friday I had my nails done (ANC) . When I got home and was out in the sun I could see the sides of four of my nails underneath. They looked awful. By Monday the first nail started coming off and then broke. By Wednesday the second one broke and by Thursday I could lift three more off easily. Without too much effort I removed the rest. I came here on vacation and was looking for a relaxing experience. I arrived 30 min early to my appointment and was rushed through the session anyway. The nail tech was extremely rude, critiquing my nails in an unprofessional manner and voicing her frustration with the length of my session/ that there was an appointment scheduled immediately after me (even though that was unrealistic as I arrived so early). She had no interest in performing any of the designs I presented to her and pushed her own opinions way too hard. She was extremely rough with my hands, filing my nails down to stubs and then didn't even bother to wipe away the polish that was left on my skin. I had to ask her to clean up the cuticles and fingertips, to which she argued that "she couldn't take it off-it's gel... but it would wash off with water". This does not make ANY sense. She didn't finish with a top coat and therefore my nails only lasted 2 days before chipping. The polish overall did not last a week. She had the audacity to demand a tip when I went to pay and took "too long" to do so. I had no intention of NOT tipping her, but she certainly wasn't getting 20%; It was Christmas weekend, so I tipped her anyway but I feel that it was undeserved. This is clearly a family run business and I felt the atmosphere was extremely unprofessional, with kids running around and lots of gossipy discussion between techs. Worst experience yet. read more

Read all of the good reviews and thought I would try Lily's for a pedicure. Never again! Apparently the owners were away. The man who gave me the pedi didn't even look at my feet, so missed the fact that I had 2 blisters on the top of one foot. Before I could ask him to be careful, he had scrapped the skin right off so badly that I was bleeding. He then put some liquid on them and told me to put my bleeding foot back into the water! When the pedi was over, he directed me to walk barefooted over to the drying station! He even picked up my flip flops from the floor and dropped them next to the dryer! This salon is the bomb.com. I went in for a bridal party getting our nails done and I was the bride. They did an amazing job on all of our nails. The atmosphere is so spacious and relaxing. The staff are amazing and really do an amazing job. I will definitely return and get my nails done here even though I live an hour away. Best nail experience ever!!!!!! read more

Don't waste your money. Spent 2 weeks in St Augustine and went here first. I got a mani/pedi and it was $55 and had to come home and redo my finger nails. Then I noticed that they over charged me and had to call to get my money back. read more

I was so fortunate to get Anthony to do my manicure/pedicure as I had not made an appointment. I know and understand that they do not wish to make someone wait if they had an appointment scheduled and I will be sure to make one in the future. I got the best manicure and pedicure. We went here on 11/16/12 to get pre-wedding mani/pedis before my friend's wedding the next day. The staff was rude, our toes were very sloppy, and the gel manicure I got started to peel off after 3 days (even though they are supposed to last 2 weeks). I went to Lily's several times because Tim does a wonderful pedicure. Seriously, the guy is an artist. However, the last time we went in we had a horrible experience. I don't know if it was Lily or just a woman who works there, but she yelled at my friend in front of everyone because we didn't make an appointment before coming in. She got very, very ugly and nasty about it, even though they say walk-ins are welcome. Yes there were three of us, but we did not expect to all be taken at once, or even for all three of us to get an appointment that day. We were pleasant to her the entire time and did nothing to bring on her tirade. She was unspeakably rude and nasty. Earlier, she had done my friends manicure and was rude then. She also did a very sloppy job on her nails. You could see drill marks under the polish, which is unacceptable. Unfortunately, even though Tim does a fantastic pedicure, I will never return to Lily's nails. Beware. read more

My shellac lasted less than a week because she got the polish on my cuticles and it started to lift the next day. My pedicure has lasted longer but the second day the tip of my big toe was already wearing off, could have used a better top coat. They were pretty nice, and quick. I didn't have to wait too long after my appt time to get started. My nails looked good the day after which was the reason I had them done but I won't go back. read more

I'm embarrassed to say I didn't catch the name of the young guy that did my pedi and mani but, I did like him. He was very sociable and friendly. He did a great job, no mess around the nails. I have been going to Lily's for several years. I am a local of St Aug. They are very clean and nice, and they can get you in quickly. :) I am very particular about the salon's I go to, due to fungus issues that can run rampant but, I can say I have never gotten one from them. Yes, the daughter's personality may seem a bit tuff to some but, she has always been nice to me and others when I've been there. It's just her personality; she's not from the south, as many people in FL are not, so you have to get used to the different personalities here. But, I can only speak from my own experience. Ditto to the other review. The mother and daughter are rude and you do feel rushed. I had the mother and apparently she needed to bring out the big guns for my feet and asked if I wanted the "razor." She never mentioned there would be an additional cost.. I was irritated that I was not informed of the additional cost and equally irritated that because it was an insignificant amount it shouldn't matter to me. I was on vacation and called this salon and they accommodated me the day before Thanksgiving. What a great place. The prices were great but the people were fantastic. We are visiting St. Augustine from Denver, and after having such a great experience I wish I lived here so Lily's Nails could be my regular nail place! We had pedicures and rebases. The staff was friendly and welcoming, they made us feel at home. The pedicures were relaxing and wonderful. Lily helped fix my nails which were misshapen and uneven, she did an amazing job. She made my acrylics look so even and natural, it was exactly what I wanted. I wish all nail salons were like this! Lily's nails is awesome. Really great people. read more

Sorry but Lilys Nails is the most unfriendly salon I've ever been in.Perhaps I happened to get the grumpy technician 2 years in a row? Went last summer while on vacation, thought they were just having a bad day. Decided to give then another try this summer.
