Stopped in for lunch on a Sunday after doing the road to Hana early morning. We were looking for a lunch spot and not just a brunch place, plus a lot of regular places weren't open on Sunday. There were only two other parties in the restaurant with us, so we sat at the bar and ordered from the bartender. They were out of a few things, but we saw that trend with other restaurants on the island so it wasn't that big of a deal. We each got a beer. I got the taco platter and he got a Peruvian chicken and rice dish. Everything was absolutely delicious, the bartender was very sweet and eventually made me an incredibly good Pisco sour. I love the decor and the layout of the place and I'm sure it's super fun at night. Overall, a great experience!

This place was good but nothing amazing. Me and my group came for happy hour and just a light meal. It was a little hot/humid inside but better than outside. The inside also wasn't anything crazy and was just a normal sit down place ambiance wise. The service was okay. Nothing bad but also nothing great. We ended up getting the coconut shrimp, burger and salchipapas. Everything was good but just okay if that makes sense. If you're coming for something to just fill you up or something to snack on for a drink then it does the job. I don't really have anything bad to say about the place but the place/food overall was just okay haha

We had a terrific and tasty experience-- perfect pisco sours, delicious ceviche, yummy burrito de lomo saltado and churros with my fav --coconut glen's vegan ice cream.

Absolutely amazing! This quickly became our favorite food spot of the entire trip. The service and food were both incredible I'm so grateful we came here. Everything we ordered was absolutely delicious. Our server, Karli, was fantastic and really elevated the whole experience. We even had the pleasure of meeting the owner's parents, who were so warm and lovely to talk to. The tiradito trio was incredibly flavorful, and the lomo saltado was perfectly done. The lilikoi margaritas? Over-the-top delicious! And don't even get me started on the churro and ice cream dessert it was the perfect way to end the meal. The vibe of the place is great, too perfect for big groups, parties, or a fun night out. There's even a stage, which adds to the energy. We'll definitely be back the next time we're in town. A must-visit!

Lilikoi Pisco sour. Pretty tiny for $17. We preferred the classic better than- larger and $16.

Lovely service, fresh food, tasty cocktails. We enjoyed our meal here. That said, it was really expensive, and though it was nice to try it out, we didn't feel that it was worth the cost, and for that reason likely won't return. Things we tried: The sashimi (tiradito trio) was raw mahi served three ways. The two creamy sauces were spicy but interesting. The oil and capers was bland. The addition of corn and Okinawan sweet potatoes was nice. The ceviche classico was also mahi but in coconut. It was good (I liked it more than the tiradito) but I wish the fish wasn't in giant chunks and I was really disappointed it didn't have any of the cancha (crunchy corn nuts) that are on the menu and all the other review photos. You can add calamari for $10, and it was cooked to perfection. So far you're at $60 before tax, tips, or drinks though and you've basically shared some appies. Our daughter had the $10 happy hour burger and it was ok - might have been better without the American cheese slice. It doesn't come with fries and the normal one is $15 so the Happy Hour price is really just to give up the fries and save the $5. The dish with the most flavor was probably the lomo saltado - salty steak, tomatoes and onions on French fries. For another $30 I found this portion to be particularly small. Sadly the pisco sours weren't on HH ($16 each), but we had to try because they're famous for them. We liked the classic better than the Lilikoi. The Lilikoi one was $1 more but also came in a smaller glass. We didn't like the chilcano (with homemade ginger ale as much). Sangria was very unique - more fruity than wine. All in, like I said, we liked our meal, and got two of the drinks at HH prices, but even so, it wasn't wowing enough for a close to $200 lunch.

My fiancé and I were just passing by and saw this place. We stoped by and had some drinks. I would recommend their Sangria. Service was kind, and not much to say about the ambiance.

We were recommended to go to this restaurant by our cruise ship concierge. I am from Miami and I am used to eating at many Peruvian restaurants, but Lima Cocina & Cantina was truly exceptional. The freshness of locally sourced fish along with the outstanding marinade of flavors are a perfect combination that practically melted in my mouth. It was truly the best ceviche combination I have ever tasted. The ambience is very laid back and relaxing. The service was outstanding as well. This place is a true gem and I highly recommend it.

Nice pit stop on the way back from Hana. The food was good, the waitress was nice, and the interior is very well decorated. My only two complaints are that 1. the bathroom is currently out of commission so you have to walk to a nearby massage business (less than a minute walk, but inconvenient) and 2. Some of the portions felt skimpy. For instance the Lomo Saltado had maybe 3 slices of tenderloin overall, with potatoes making up the majority of the dish. Nevertheless, the food is good. It is well seasoned and well cooked. There are many vegetarian options and many options for kids. I did enjoy my experience here, I only wish the portions were more fair for their price.

What a delight to find an authentic Peruvian place in Paia! The ceviche with Tigre de leche is very close to the original I've tasted in Peru, minus the pulpo (octopus) but totally complete with the roasted corn, purple potato & lettuce leaf. Mopped the ceviche, devoured the huancaina & drank the whole chica murada. I'll be back for the lomo Saltado & Eddy, who completed the experience with a friendly vibe & excellent customer service. Yessah; I'll be back soon with the family!

Service was fast, bartender had great suggestions, food was good, burrito was a bit small for big back like myself but the potato appetizer I can't pronounce was good ! Ambiance was good, super clean!

BEST FOOD ON THE ISLAND. As a seasoned traveler, local…read moretransplant, and self-proclaimed foodie, I will be the first to admit that some of the food on the island is not what visitors would get excited about. However, I would make a reservation and drive 2 1/2 hours for this place, and I am not exaggerating when I say that I think they have the BEST food on the island - I have been searching this island for good restaurants for the last 3 years. I had their lobster ravioli, a side of focaccia bread, a matcha lemonade, and tiramisu. EVERYTHING is made fresh here and the attention to detail and flavors is evident in every plate. The ravioli was surprisingly filling and I savored every bite. The pasta was perfectly al dente. And, the flavors, juicy lobster and creamy sauce were balanced just right. The sauce was so tasty I wanted to lick the plate. I thought about ordering a second side of bread to clean it off, but was able to practice self-control (barely lol). I won't go into detail about the drinks or dessert only because I could write a full essay. But, I will say that everything I had here was well-worth my investment and I will absolutely be making the drive back out here again soon. Of all the places on the island, I would say you MUST try this place. And, shoutout to Claudia and the servers for exceptional service. We are so lucky to have you on this island. Much mahalos for the amazing food and experience here. My friends, I will say it again- Cipriano's has the BEST food on the island. Stop what you are doing right now and make a reservation.

Tables are mainly outside with loud street traffic noise. We were brought water fairly quickly and had our menus to review. We then waited for 13 to 15 minutes until a young waitress returned answered our questions and we ordered some focaccia bread and three glasses of Sangiovese. $19 a glass for a very poor red wine and then seven dollars for six small pieces of focaccia bread. The least expensive wine by the bottle was $79. Their corkage fee if you brought your own bottle was a mind-boggling $179. We got our wine and bread in a reasonable time and then had to wait another 10 minutes to place an order. We were in the mood to have salad, but the least expensive was a Caesar, $25 for a small plate. We ordered two pasta dishes And one ravioli dish, which came with three cheese ravioli. The dishes in price ranged from $48-$56 each. Our food came out, reasonably on time. We requested some Parmesan cheese and olive oil for the side. The pasta was handmade, fresh and delicious. We very much enjoyed the entrées taste and presentation. One of the pasta dishes was just lukewarm when served. Our bill for three adults was $250 before tax and tip. While the food was excellent, we felt that the service and location, along with the ambience was not worth that price.
