Our experience at Longhi's at the Marriott Maui Ocean Club was nothing less than extraordinary! First of all, they all showed up the day after hurricane Lala to serve us guests who hadn't had power for almost 24 hours. Five stars for that alone! Then we ordered our dinners and they were all exceptional! The steamed clam appetizer was the best we've ever had! The broth was outstanding and planting of broth for dipping the homemade focaccia bread that arrives before your meal. The pasta dish with the prosciutto and peas was also delicious. We also had a Longhi Longhi salad which was fresh and flavorful. Our experience there was over the moon great and were so appreciative to the staff for their hospitality and kindness! The recent reviews were frankly a bit discouraging, but we had gotten into town late and it was convenient. I am so glad we went because we had a fabulous experience. Totally excited to eat here finally! We stay at Marriott a lot and this is where the restaurant is located. I walked up to the two hostesses and asked if we can look at the menu. My cousin and her husband were celebrating their 35 anniversary.one hostess was nice and sweet. The other one grabbed the menu held and said do you have a reservation. I said no and asked do you use open table? She said yes but we don't have anything available for another half hour. I was like could we just look at the menu so they can see if they wanted to eat there. So we looked but turned off. We walked away I checked open table and they had reservations available for 15 minutes from when we were standing there. It was a disappointment they didn't even want to serve us food to go! We had to wait 45 mins for our food At the next table a large group of people came 15 mins after us They got their food 30 mins before us Server didn't even care one bit when we asked what happened to our food! So...wow!. Brought a friend to Longhi's Kaanapali on Wednesday. My friend use to come all the time when younger and with family. Had an issue with wine, but the real issue was the food. I ordered the island style fish with Mongchong...big serving, but oily. My friend and I were blown away at how bad my friend's order was. Getting the prawns that looked like they were little shrimp and over cooked. And only 4 with rice. My dinner looked like it was 3 times the serving than my friend's. Also, the ahi carpaccio...as a starter/shared plate...why on earth is that not on individual bruschetta? Just sad over all. And definitely overpriced. read more

Food was horrible. We went for breakfast. Eggs had an odd, dry taste to them. We are convinced they were artificial eggs. Bacon was burnt. Toast was dry. Service was slow, though our waiter was very friendly. Prices were Hawaiian-elevated, so as always disappointing if don't get a decent meal. 2026 January update. 3.5 We love the view here and enjoyed our meal last time. For appetizers this time, we ordered the fried calamari. It looked great, was seasoned well and way overcooked. The calamari rings were sliced way to small. We sent it back and the second try came during our main entrees. Okay, not was as overcooked but still tough. It would have been nice to be comped this. I don't blame the waitress. It would appear that she was afraid to come back to our table as she didn't come back to check on us. My entree was the island style fish which was something similar to mahi mahi. It was a little over cooked, the sauce was tasty and the sweet potato mash was generous but cold. It was a very colorful plate. Hubby's ahi was as good as last time with the plate a bit bland and the rice was also cold. We had the layer chocolate cake which was pretty good although a dollop of fresh whip cream would have been a nice touch on top of the blueberries and strawberries versus from a spray can. Server should have upselled a scoop of ice cream and some coffee. Parking is no charge in the Marriott lot and the view is top notch. We will come again as it's now a tradition on our last night. I wanted to give Longhi's another shot after our previous experience a few nights ago. It was a beautiful morning, no wind on the Kaanapali shoreline, we just checked out of our resort and had some time before heading to the airport. It was going to be a long day of traveling back home and wanted something in the tummy other than airline food. So we thought we would try breakfast at Longhi's, they have a great patio/deck and it was a perfect morning to enjoy a Bloody Mary, ocean breezes and surf, and eggs Benedict. Staff were again very friendly and happy that you are there and ready to serve you. Both Benedict's were served on house made crusty bread, my spinach was fresh and flavorful with eggs on both entrees cooked to perfection. The Bloody Mary had a little horseradish in the mix giving that perfect bite. We were both very pleased with our entrees and would definitely recommend Longhi's for breakfast or brunch. Especially when you can enjoy their patio, while enjoying breakfast while enjoying the Kaanapali vibe. We were glad we came back and gave Longhi's another shot. Bravissimo! read more

Great service, great view, food was mediocre and expensive. Highlights are the servers and the views, maybe just come for a happy hour cocktail and call it good. I had a salad it was good but a small portion so not a dinner salad. Saw a sea turtle right on the shore in front of the restaurant so that was cool. read more

There are so many wonderful options on the island, and unfortunately this is not one of them. The service was bad. Our table was constantly ignored, it took forever for us to get our order in, get our food and we had to ask for the check repeatedly. The food was all around flavorless. The artichoke longhi was soggy and overly smothered in Parmesan cheese. The linguine and clams had chewy clams and the pasta with white sauce was very bland. The GF pasta with pomodoro sauce tasted like tomato sauce with no seasoning. The food was over priced and they had a large $8 upcharge for GF pasta. The only positive was the beautiful location as we sat at a table outside with a view of the ocean. I would not recommend this restaurant. read more

What a disaster of a restaurant. Food was abysmal. Artichoke was drowning in butter sauce that made the dish look like soup. Lava cake was clearly overcooked and dry. The restaurant has no ambiance despite being ocean front. No live music, dated decor. Prices were high as expected from a resort dining establishment. Went to the old Longhi's in Lahaina for 25 plus years. A lot of mixed reviews on the new Longhi's in Kaanapali, that was eradicated after our experience. Clearly there are a lot of trolls and negative people who I guess just like to criticize...for no reason. New setting is better than the old Longhi's, had zero problems with the service and food was just as good including the Mai Tai's. Only negative (mini) is they don't serve the pizza bread anymore. I can deal with that, we will definitely go back. read more

The banana macadamia nut pancakes were delicious, BUT the service was sorely lacking. We had to retrieve napkins and utensils from another table, the side bacon was incinerated, coffee was lukewarm, no spoons for the cream, no sweetener brought, coffee cups sat empty for a long time and had to ask for the check after the server walked by numerous times. For appetizers, I started with the crabcakes and the clams. The crabcakes were easily some of the best I've ever had packed with crab, fresh, tender, and beautifully plated. The rich colors made me admire them for a few seconds before diving in. The clams were also a standout, bursting with flavor in a savory broth that was absolutely a 10/10. For my entrée, I went with the New York steak cooked medium-well. It had a smoky char that gave it depth, while the inside stayed thick, juicy and perfectly pink. Every bite was rich and full of flavor with juices that paired perfectly with a glass of Chianti Classico. I also tried the chicken Parmesan, which was tender, juicy, and layered with flavors. Honestly, I felt like Remy from Ratatouille mixing all the flavors together it was that exciting haha. To finish, I ordered the white chocolate cheesecake. It was plated beautifully, topped with fresh berries, and tasted as sweet as it looked. Honestly, it was so rich I joked it might give me diabetes, but it was worth every bite. My waiter, Storn was outstanding friendly, attentive, and welcoming. The restaurant itself was spacious, clean and it had a beautiful view of the beach and Lana'i. Five stars on the view, five stars on the service (Mar Del Plata), three stars on the meal. The Venus Prawns were just regular sized shrimp and I would almost say Costco shrimp, with no garlic as advertised. Rice accompaniment was neither warm or seasoned. This review is not based on emotion, our friends ate here previously and raved about the chef and giant prawns. Drinks were good. Appetizer of artichoke was baked and average. Longhi's is right on property at the Maui Ocean Club in Lahaina. It's a great Italian spot and the seafood is always super fresh and we have come back for a second year in a row and ordered the same dishes: rigatoni bolognese, island style fish, and prawns. When it's light out it's a beautiful spot for sunset, otherwise it's a fancy restaurant with a nice ambience. Definitely on the pricey side but worth the money. read more

1 - restaurant less than 1/2 full 2- seated and waited 15 minutes before greeted or receive water 3 - ordered 2 draft Coors light - waited 10 minutes and they were both warm (btw- 2 bartenders working with less than 10 people at bar 4 - ordered crab cake appetizer. These were good (shell withstanding) and likely the only reason I didn't give a ZERO star ( also the setting and view of the ocean were nice) 5 - ordered dinner and a beer ( which never arrived and I told the person delivering dinner - he comped the beer and told me they were short staffed) 6- Greek salad (so drenched in dressing that it was almost like lemon juice soup 7 - Venice Prawns must have been pulled from the far reaches of the freezer, as they had the freezer burned taste and feel (menu touts fresh and local - maybe the Costco's freezer section is considered local?) and the jasmine rice had been sitting under the heat lamp so long, that it had a crust about 1/2" deep into the rice. 8. After we ate barely half of our food and pushed it away our clueless server asked if we saved room for dessert?!? - she had been absent for most of the meal (wandering aimlessly or missing - I think she had a total of 3 tables) - will not call her out by name but will provide my check number (#101 - 9/20/26 6:23pm) for the management to reference along with my notation of "See my Yelp Review". If this is truly a Marriott restaurant, corporate needs to intervene, if it is a license situation, they should consider new partners, as this is a poor reflection of the Marriott brand. Today was our 6th day in Maui and this was by far the worst meal we had - terrible food and even worse service!! Arrived for an early dinner --4:30pm-only one maybe 2 other occupied tables- $40 for simple fettuccine alfredo- ask if they could do a half order since we are splitting the fish of the day- no. Ok- ordered Mon Chong- Longhi style. This is supposed to be to be a flaky white fish - extremely disappointed when it took 45 min to arrive and the fish is a flat piece of grey/brown fish - maybe its mahi mahi-- service was slooow - server came by to check on how our meal was and was "surprised " we hadn't received it- she says "oh! I will go check on it" i had to ask- "did they have to go catch it???" The last insult was we asked to put the charge to our room- ohhh sorry- the machine is not working!!! NOW don't you think maybe you should have informed us of that before we sat down to order? This is the restaurant at the Maui Ocean club where we are staying!!!! What if we hadn't brought a credit card or cash with us??? Great outstanding location ocean side. What we had was not great food and others around me felt the same. I had a macadamia nut fish with mango which sounds great but...very flavor lacking and just did not have any wow factor to match the surrounding. We had the Parmesan zucchini which was decent to ok appetizer. If you want a drink do that here and enjoy a great sunset but eat else where in my opinion. If you are going to pay for location please have dishes that match the surroundings. To be fair I did t have the whole menu and maybe there are better dishes. I went off recommendation. read more

We've been coming here since they opened on the Marriott Ocean Resort property. I was worried when I saw the recent mixed reviews. But Alex, our server was excellent, the view still God inspiring and we had the Greek salad which was fresh and crisp and bread was warm and buttery. My husband's clam linguini had about a dozen and a half small to medium very moist and flavorful clams and my fresh monchong fish Island Style was perfectly cooked with a colorful plate presentation with the mashed purple sweet potatoes and relish on the fish. Sauce was well balanced. Not sure why others had bad experiences as we have had nothing but excellence. Also a side note for ourselves. We could have easily shared either dish which is not often the case when it comes to my husband hoarding his linguini! read more

We have been to Longhi's many times over the years, which makes this experience even more disappointing. The service was, without question, the worst we've ever experienced. My wife asked for a refill of water that never came. Throughout the meal, no one checked on our table. Finished dishes piled up and sat there until we eventually carried them away ourselves because no one ever cleared them. We ordered scoops of ice cream for our kids for dessert, but after waiting 30 minutes with no update, we finally canceled the order. The most frustrating part was the manager's response. When we asked to speak with him, he was completely nonchalant and dismissive. There was no sense of urgency, and no indication that he cared about our experience. We've always enjoyed Longhi's in the past, but after this visit, we won't be returning. There are too many excellent restaurants in Maui to spend an evening feeling ignored and unappreciated. read more

My family (10 of us) had dinner at Longhi's on Sunday. It was outstanding! The food was delicious, service was fantastic and the setting was perfect. We each tried different items on the menu and everyone loved their dinner. The desserts were outstanding as well. We have been to LONGHI'S and locations for several years. unfortunately, we will never go to this location. we didn't even think to read reviews because we never expected such a horrible birthday celebration dinner. Food overcooked severally; Meats all 3 dishes was awful, awful awful. The meat on the VEAL marsala and the piccata It tasted like it was overcooked Very hard not tender. Two steaks was so dry almost as if they scrapped the burnt off the steak. Worst was the fish it really honestly taste like it was four days old and not fresh at all a huge disappointment . Unfortunately, we had a woman server last night. She knew it was a birthday we brought balloons. From the moment that we sat down, she was very rude. We were ordering our drinks, she was very rude when I asked her about the different types of ice tea or the types of non-alcoholic or the ways fish could be cooked. She seemed like she didn't even care to be there working. she made each of us three adults feel like we were such an inconvenience to her by asking questions. Being in the Aloha spirit we shrugged it off. trying to ignore on her negativity because we were there for our daughter's 25th birthday! What ruined it for us is the woman server slapping our balloons giving us all rude looks. The food is excellent. If you treat it like you're on Hawaiian time and aren't in a rush then you're all set. I had the filet, was excellent. Wife had catch of the day and the lemon sauce was a little different, but the purple potatoes were great. The 6 layer cake was tasty. Kids loved their butter noodles and new york strip. Server was excellent and hostess (also the manager) was very sweet. Views of sunset are top notch. Contrary to all the negative reviews, we had a great experience and definitely recommend. We had a great dinner, sunset reveal. It was all started with the Zucchini Fritti, very nice, Al dente, Parmesan, lemon, crusted nicely. Then we ordered some veal Marsala and the fettuccini Lombardi which both came out hot and so good. It was just the right amount of food. Tastefully prepared and delivered with great servers. We finished with the macadamia nut pie. Oh my my-like a pecan pie on steroids. So good. Thanks for the great culinary experience Hostess was great and greater promptly, sat us in a perfect place. My husband and I first came to this restaurant at its Front Street location 17 years ago on our honeymoon, and today we returned with our three kids. Everyone loved it--it was the perfect first meal in Maui. The views are gorgeous, with plenty of shade, and the atmosphere is relaxed and welcoming. Our server was incredibly attentive and friendly, which made the experience even better. I had the best Benedict I've ever eaten--just as I remembered it from so many years ago. After a seemingly rattled hostess finally arrived at her station to seat us, she didn't greet us and proceeded to work her computer screen until she finally looked up and asked if we had a reservation, which I had already told her we did. The restaurant wasn't busy at all. Our server seemed disinterested. After getting our pricey drinks, which we all questioned did they actually contain alcohol because they were so weak, we noticed her serving bread to various tables. Not ours. We had to ask for bread. No apologies. After delivering our food, we never saw her again until we were almost finished with the meal. I would not go back here. Again, the restaurant wasn't even busy. Walked a couple of miles to Longhi's for breakfast because the menu looked really good. Overall it was just ok. The eggs on my Benedict were cooked perfectly but I did not like the baguette it was served on. It was really tough to cut which is probably why they add so much sauce to it. My husband ordered the two egg breakfast and it was very underwhelming. It tasted fine but for the price? The presentation was subpar. It looked like what you would pay $9.99 for at a diner. Our server was in training and she did great and the manager on shift was very sweet. Her interactions with everyone were very good. read more
