All around a good place. We ordered carry out at the restaurant and got a little of everything. The only downside of this place was that we were not able to place the order online because they didn't allow you to order sushi due to trying to keep the sushi fresh and food-safe. The pork nachos were super yummy and we got a shrimp tempura roll that was also super good. The hurricane fries were yummy but definitely different. We did HH (happy hour). I got the immediate hard sell from the server to upgrade to the top shelf, so I went with the margarita. It was OK, but I probably should have stuck to my guns, as I'm not enough of a connoisseur to tell. For food we tried the coconut crusted fish tacos and the panko crusted ahi roll. The tacos were good, although even at $7 each, was too high for what you got as it was just a couple bites worth. The ahi was really beautifully plated, but was nearly all rice inside with almost imperceptible ahi, so we were not impressed. Ambience was nice. We didn't try their entrees. On a trip to Kihei, we came here four days in a row because the food was so good! Excellent fish tacos, coconut, shrimp, boom burgers, spicy tuna rolls, brussels sprouts, and more! On the downside, though, the service is incredibly slow, even for Hawai'i. The servers are friendly overall, but it looks to me like they spread them too thin, with all servers covering from the outside all the way to the most interior dining room. Even trying to place a to go order was a hassle, as the online system didn't provide an opportunity to remove the special sauce from our burger, and the restaurant doesn't allow you to call in for a to go order. Unfortunately, that meant waiting until a server was available to place the order for me, which, as you can imagine, took a little bit. Overall, I would (and did) come back many times. We sat on the patio as most of it is covered. Personally we like to watch people and activity, so if you want quiet you might sit inside. We just missed happy hour (3-6). But their prices are still Reasonable. I got the fish taco, I'd honestly go back just for it! Ut was a nice piece of fish coconut crusted with some slaw in a corn tortilla. I thoroughly enjoyed it! We also ordered the pork belly which was 3 large pieces, some slaw and sauce. Very tasty and what you would hope for with pork belly. Lastly we shared the bbq pork quesadilla. It was 4 pieces and we were kind of full by that point. The pork was great! The sauce was too sweet for me, but easy to remove. It was a great visit and we would go back on another visit. This place is located in the Kihei Triangle. Parking can be tricky but we found a space right in front at 7:30 on a Saturday night. They were pretty busy but we were seated right away. Reservations are recommended. They have seating indoor and outside on their patio. It's a fairly large, open venue with high ceilings. They have a full bar. We came for the all-day happy hour special for Kamaaina only. Appetizers, sushi, and drinks are on the menu. We ordered Mai Tais, spicy tuna roll, kalua pork nachos, garlic noodles, and coconut shrimp. The drinks were yummy and made well. The food tasted great and the portions were generous. Had such a good first experience, we came back again. This time, we were seated on a completely empty patio at the worst table possible, near a newly constructed little add on to the building that they were worried about structurally during our 30 minutes there with at least 3 people coming to look at it and hovering around us. The next few groups got the better seating along the edges at tables that weren't in high traffic areas, slammed against a wall. Our waitress, wow. Disgraceful. Maria I believe? She showed disgust at our order and was the most unfriendly waitress we have ever had. We ate as quickly as possible, slammed our drinks (they were actually just water, absolutely no flavor or color for a margarita), and got out in under 30 minutes we were SOOOO uncomfortable. Went to Three's on my first night in HI as a solo traveler. I sat at the bar and had really nice conversations with all the bar staff while I was there. They made me feel comfortable and shared ideas on things to do and places to see. I asked for recommendations for happy hour drinks and food and was given great ideas. The house Mai Tai was delicious! I also ordered a tuna roll that was amazingly fresh. I ended up going back to Three's a few nights later for a drink and was treated equally as well as the first time. This time I sat outside on the deck and enjoyed the warm evening. Stopped at this location before our beach adventures on the south side. We happen to find parking on the street, we got lucky! Walked a block to get to this restaurant. We were greeted and seated at a location near the bar. I forgot her name, she was the sweetest person ever. She was a bartender and playing waitress at the same time that morning. She took our order immediately, we ordered Ramen Soup and a loco moco plate. Received all within the 10 minute mark. Service was fast! Kudos to the cooks. Took a bite out of both entrees. They were both delicious! Rice was fresh with hot gray flowing and sunny side up eggs were on par. The ramen was warm and tasty as well. The broth was fullfilling. No complaints on the food and Service. All was excellent. Our bartender/waitress did and exceptional job. I asked her questions about the road to hana as well as WHALE adventures excursions. I stated we booked $49.99 excursion to see whales on the quicksilver boat. She gave us insights to sit in the back and what to watch out for. Ambience like your typical bar except Guy Fierre visited the place which made it a spot to try the place. I've would've given better rating except for all the flies coming around the food, and even more when they opened the rest of the bar area to get it ready for Happy hour, we left before that because the flies were annoying, even to the other patrons beside us, Hope they can control the flies somehow. read more

But the sushi is cheap and the drinks are strong so that tourist vibe wears off pretty fast around the end of round two. Since the sushi is reasonably priced, that leaves you more money for round three! Located on Kihei road in a cute little cluster of souvenir shops, restaurants and other interesting establishments. Since we were visiting Maui, we had to stop by Three's Bar and Grill to see what it was all about. The food exceeded my expectations, offering a wide variety of dishes inspired by Hawaiian cuisine. I personally ordered the Loco Moco, which consisted of two beef hamburger patties atop eggs and rice, all smothered in a rich mushroom gravy. I mean, what more could you want? A protein-packed dish with gravy--just thinking about it makes my mouth water! My wife got the ramen with the chicken broth which was also really good. Pros: The service was outstanding. The staff was incredibly attentive and answered all my questions about the menu, which I especially appreciated since I can't have tomatoes in my food. Cons: The only downside was that the service was a bit slow--it felt like it took forever for our dishes to arrive. The prices here are on par with other restaurants in the area, at least in the more touristy parts of Maui. The ambience is a unique blend of bar, Hawaiian culture, and cabin vibes--if you can picture that--and it was well-decorated. If I return to Maui and find myself in the area, I would definitely visit this place again without hesitation. read more

The food was absolutely amazing! We had the coconut shrimp and the blackened Hawaiian fish and both were incredibly flavorful and cooked perfectly. We also ordered the oysters they were fresh, although they were so large they were difficult to eat. The only disappointment was the Mai Tai. Didn't like the burger I tried at all and the chicken katsu shandwich was okay. Their lilikoi cheesecake was alright, but tasted way sweeter than we got used to with lilikoi desserts on the island.
