    Bbq Kalua Pork Quesadilla

We sat on the patio as most of it is covered. Personally we like to watch people and activity, so if you want quiet you might sit inside. We just missed happy hour (3-6). But their prices are still Reasonable. I got the fish taco, I'd honestly go back just for it! Ut was a nice piece of fish coconut crusted with some slaw in a corn tortilla. I thoroughly enjoyed it! We also ordered the pork belly which was 3 large pieces, some slaw and sauce. Very tasty and what you would hope for with pork belly. Lastly we shared the bbq pork quesadilla. It was 4 pieces and we were kind of full by that point. The pork was great! The sauce was too sweet for me, but easy to remove. It was a great visit and we would go back on another visit. Our server was also prompt and helpful.

We came here to experience part of their happy hour. The drinks were okay as they were not that strong, I wish they were stronger. The food was good, the hurricane fries were not my favorite but the kalua pork nachos and coconut shrimp were good! I tried part of the ginger fish and it was very tasty!

This place is located in the Kihei Triangle. Parking can be tricky but we found a space right in front at 7:30 on a Saturday night. They were pretty busy but we were seated right away. Reservations are recommended. They have seating indoor and outside on their patio. It's a fairly large, open venue with high ceilings. They have a full bar. We came for the all-day happy hour special for Kamaaina only. Appetizers, sushi, and drinks are on the menu. We ordered Mai Tais, spicy tuna roll, kalua pork nachos, garlic noodles, and coconut shrimp. The drinks were yummy and made well. The food tasted great and the portions were generous. It's nice that they have a menu that only locals can order from anytime of the day. Mahalo Three's for taking care of us!

We always enjoy coming to Threes when we're in town. Whitney was our server. I was amazed at how well she maneuvered so many tables with such grace and expertise. Thank you Whitney! All of the food was good! Those hot wings were spicier than I thought they'd be, but they were good. We will be back! Thank you!

Love the place and the vibe. Crazy fresh fish and overall really good food In addition to sushi we tried the Kahlua pork quesadilla, coconut shrimp, garlic noods. We came back to happy hour twice for the hamachi sashimi. Sat inside by the bar and had prompt and attentive service.

Great outdoor space in the back and friendly service. We went for happy hour! The food was good and plenty to fill us up.

Had such a good first experience, we came back again. This time, we were seated on a completely empty patio at the worst table possible, near a newly constructed little add on to the building that they were worried about structurally during our 30 minutes there with at least 3 people coming to look at it and hovering around us. The next few groups got the better seating along the edges at tables that weren't in high traffic areas, slammed against a wall. Our waitress, wow. Disgraceful. Maria I believe? She showed disgust at our order and was the most unfriendly waitress we have ever had. We ate as quickly as possible, slammed our drinks (they were actually just water, absolutely no flavor or color for a margarita), and got out in under 30 minutes we were SOOOO uncomfortable. The quesadilla was still amazing and the kalua pork nachos were good too. Everything else has 98% room for improvement - structurally, professionally, beverages, everything. We will not be back after that one.

Went to Three's on my first night in HI as a solo traveler. I sat at the bar and had really nice conversations with all the bar staff while I was there. They made me feel comfortable and shared ideas on things to do and places to see. I asked for recommendations for happy hour drinks and food and was given great ideas. The house Mai Tai was delicious! I also ordered a tuna roll that was amazingly fresh. I ended up going back to Three's a few nights later for a drink and was treated equally as well as the first time. This time I sat outside on the deck and enjoyed the warm evening. Great place; Ill definitely go back if I find my way to Kihei!

Back to one of our favorite spots on Maui with the bes Happy Hour all day for Kamaaina! Once again got Jerry as our server awesome service very attentive and checking up on his customers. One of the customers didn't tip him as we noticed he was attentive to all his customers how can you not tip after him serving you all night? Reminder tip your server even if you feel the service wasn't exceptional at least tip accordingly! Jerry is awesome we made sure we tipped him for his awesome service! Mahalos Jerry!

You'll find them in the Kīhei Kalama Village. I went for their happy hour and sat right at the bar. Great service and welcoming atmosphere. They were also featured on Diners, Drive Ins and Dives! Make sure to try my favorites on their happy hour menu. Kalua Pork Quesadilla - bbq sauce, jack cheese, asian peanut slaw, cilantro aioli, pineapple chutney Panko Crusted Ahi Roll - avocado, cucumber, curry beurre blanc, unagi glaze, tobiko Southside Mai Tai -white rum, pineapple, guava, lime, dark rum float

We love coming to Three's Bar & Grill for happy hour whenever we're in Maui! The atmosphere is always fun and relaxed, especially hanging out outside on the patio. It's such a great spot to unwind, grab drinks, and enjoy the Maui vibe. The service has also been consistently great every time we've visited... Always friendly, attentive, and welcoming. Definitely one of our go-to spots when we're on the island.

Stopped at this location before our beach adventures on the south side. We happen to find parking on the street, we got lucky! Walked a block to get to this restaurant. We were greeted and seated at a location near the bar. I forgot her name, she was the sweetest person ever. She was a bartender and playing waitress at the same time that morning. She took our order immediately, we ordered Ramen Soup and a loco moco plate. Received all within the 10 minute mark. Service was fast! Kudos to the cooks. Took a bite out of both entrees. They were both delicious! Rice was fresh with hot gray flowing and sunny side up eggs were on par. The ramen was warm and tasty as well. The broth was fullfilling. No complaints on the food and Service. All was excellent. Our bartender/waitress did and exceptional job. I asked her questions about the road to hana as well as WHALE adventures excursions. I stated we booked $49.99 excursion to see whales on the quicksilver boat. She gave us insights to sit in the back and what to watch out for. Her character is what a restaurant should have, friendly, outgoing and funny. I wish I got her name. Big Kudos to her! Overall, this is Kihei's Hidden Gem by the coast. Good food and Great customer service. Stop by, you won't be dissapointed. :)

Has anyone heard when Threes is opening? It seems like they are the only restaurant in the triangle not open, are they waiting for the tourists to come back? Us locals need a fix.

Are there gluten free ramen options available?

Unfortunately not. Our ramen noodles are all 4 generation Iwamoto family noodles, all wheat based.

Do you have Vegetarian options (more than one choice)?

I had Thai-Railway Fried Rice, which has diced, cooked NY steak chunks, in a bed of brown rice, as well as peas, carrots, scallions, Maui onions (yum!), with an egg over easy on top, with toasted onions. I dialed the spicyness at "medium". It was *perfect*! My wife had Pad Thai with chicken, and she left it at the default spicyness (medium), which ended up being too hot for her, but she soldiered on nevertheless enjoying the wonderful flavor. Perhaps because of the noodles and curry, the spiciness of the Pad Thai seemed much stronger than the Thai-Railway fried rice dish. Of course, we had leftovers and I'll probably end up eating hers, and she'll eat mine. The service was prompt, and the girl waiting on the tables was courteous, with a beautiful smile. The restaurant is deceptively roomy, seeming to be smaller from the outside, but once inside, it was quiet, clean, with comfortable chairs, clean tables, and large windows to enjoy some of Kihei's views (like today's gentle rain). As with most things these day on Maui, where everything comes in a shipping container, food costs are very noticable. Our meal, including thai ice tea and a soda, with a coconut ice-cream to finish it was about $44/person. Not cheap, but also not as bad as, say, Tommy Bahamas.

Food came out a little slower than expected and by the time our Korean fried chicken main course came out we were almost full and had to take it togo. We made a reservation at the bar as we couldn't make one for standard seating (no availability several days before). They only open in the evenings at 5 pm. Lots of vegetarian/ vegan options. We ordered the garlic Szechuan noodles, the fish of the day 54.00 was the market price!!; we did ask ahead of time), the Lion's Mane Mushroom Liangban Salad. I honestly liked the garlic noodles from star noodle better but the size was a little bigger here. The noodles dressed up with the chef's special hot sauce though made the noodles taste a whole lot better (there are two types of chili sauce - a sambal (our neighbor had it) and a special hot sauce that is more orange colored). It was a little too sweet IMHO without the hot sauce. I noticed someone else mentioned it was like packaged ramen indomie. It actually looked and tasted to me too like it was not freshly made... The fish of the day (kampachi - type of amberjack) was really good. Steamed with ginger and some green onions I think. Tasted pretty authentic and flavorful and soft. Pricey though. The salad was delicious. Very flavorful with the bite sized shiitake mushrooms and just the right amount of dressing. We got a complimentary birthday scoop of delicious lychee/ longan/ ginger sorbet that we loved and devoured! Great flavors! They make their own sorbets in house and typically a different flavor every night! We might come back future to try their cauliflower.

We chose Ka'ana Kitchen for our final night to celebrate our niece's 15th birthday. Unfortunately, the way restaurant management handled a very simple wine issue completely derailed the evening. My father-in-law ordered a 2018 Heitz Cellar Cabernet Sauvignon, specifically as listed on the wine menu. The bottle brought to the table was a 2019. We noticed the discrepancy before it was opened and politely pointed it out. This should have taken 30 seconds to resolve: acknowledge the mistake, apologize, and offer an alternative. Instead, our server became defensive and tried to explain why the different vintage should not matter. Restaurant manager Matthew then became involved and continued focusing on why the 2019 was supposedly equivalent. But we were not asking for a discount or debating the quality of the wine. The restaurant listed a 2018 and presented a 2019. That was the entire issue. Matthew told us he had consulted the wine director, Vivi, so we asked to speak with her. That was when the situation became genuinely unacceptable. Rather than simply acknowledging an obvious and easily correctable mistake, Vivi was remarkably defensive, dismissive, and confrontational. She repeatedly told us that vintages "change all the time" and defended the restaurant's handling of the situation. When we pointed out that staff should verify the vintage being presented against what is actually listed on the wine menu, her response was essentially that she would "take that into consideration." The tone was astonishing. We have dined at excellent restaurants throughout the U.S. and internationally, and none of us could recall ever being spoken to by restaurant management that way over such a straightforward issue. Bringing the wrong vintage was a minor mistake. Refusing to own it and treating guests as though they were the problem for pointing it out was the serious failure. Before our entrees arrived, Matthew returned, apologized, and told us the wine would be comped. We appreciated the gesture, but the apology felt more like damage control than genuine ownership of what had happened. He then told us that he had checked the surname on our reservation, realized our family was Korean, and explained that he was Korean as well and that his mother would not have approved of how we had been treated. That was extraordinarily awkward. Why should learning that we were Korean have changed his assessment of whether we had been treated appropriately? Our ethnicity should have had absolutely nothing to do with recognizing that the situation had been mishandled. After that interaction, other staff members delivered our entrees and our server essentially disappeared. I had specifically asked before ordering the ahi whether the kitchen could provide a piece without the prominent tough white connective tissue and was assured the request would be communicated to the chef. The tuna arrived with exactly what I had asked to avoid, and our server never returned to check whether it was acceptable. My 15-year-old niece was also served an expensive steak with a knife so dull she struggled to cut it. Portions of my accompanying noodles were cooked until hard and crunchy. When our server finally returned near the end of the meal and I pointed out the noodles and asked that he show them to the chef, his response was simply, "That's how it's made." The restaurant ultimately comped the wine and took care of several desserts and drinks, which we appreciated. But removing items from a bill after an experience has gone badly is not the same as good service recovery. What began as a trivial wine-list discrepancy became a cascade of defensiveness, a remarkably unpleasant interaction with the wine director, an inappropriate and uncomfortable reference to our ethnicity from the restaurant manager, and then a noticeable breakdown in basic table service. That is especially disappointing because we genuinely love Andaz Maui and return regularly. We had spent a fantastic family vacation together in one of the resort's villas and deliberately chose Ka'ana Kitchen for a milestone birthday dinner on our final evening. Mistakes happen. Great restaurants own them. I sincerely hope Andaz leadership reviews what happened at our table, particularly the conduct of the restaurant manager and wine director. This was not simply an incorrect bottle of wine or a disappointing meal. It was a failure of hospitality and service recovery that warrants serious management attention. Eight members of our family left what should have been a wonderful birthday dinner talking about how badly Ka'ana Kitchen handled something that should have been effortless to correct. That should concern a resort of Andaz Maui's caliber.

Between the beautifully designed interior and the outdoor seating overlooking the beach in front of the Four Seasons, it creates one of the most romantic date-night settings on Maui. The food never misses the mark. We started with an English pea soup that was exquisitely seasoned and beautifully balanced. I followed with the Broiled Miso Marinated Walu, tender, delicate, mildly sweet, served with sesame sauce and crisp cucumbers that added the perfect contrast. The rack of lamb was juicy, tender, and cooked perfectly. Dessert was unforgettable: the "Spikey Lemon" calamansi cake with yuzu curd and crunchy meringue, plus freshly baked donuts that arrived crispy, warm, and drenched in a divine chocolate sauce. Pure heaven. But what truly sets Spago apart, and what makes each visit unique, is the front-of-house staff. Over the years we've been lucky enough to be served by both Jeb and Mikayla. Jeb was also our waiter on our wedding night, which made seeing him again feel especially meaningful. He has a rare gift: he makes guests feel genuinely special. His knowledge of the menu is remarkable, he reads the flow of a meal perfectly, and he is charming, funny, and effortlessly attentive without ever being overbearing. What keeps us coming back isn't just the food or the atmosphere. it's the impeccable hospitality. One moment we'll never forget: on our wedding night, after I mentioned I was Austrian, Jeb surprised us with a Kaiserschmarrn. It was unexpected, thoughtful, and one of those gestures that instantly lets you know you're more than just another table. You're valued. Thank you to the front-of-house staff, thank you to the kitchen, and thank you, Wolfgang Puck, for creating a place that has become such an important part of our lives. We'll keep coming back.

The menu photo shows thick pieces of ono, and that's how they've always been served in the past. This time, the fish was paper thin and barely filled the bun. It definitely wasn't worth the price. I politely asked why the ono was so thin, and I was told, "They're sliders, that's why they're thin." I explained that I've ordered these many times before and they've never looked like this, but my concern was dismissed. I understand portions can vary, but this was a drastic difference from what I've received before. Loyal customers notice when quality and portions change. Unfortunately, after this experience, I won't be returning.

We went all in on the pork belly (no regrets ) and ordered the pork belly fried rice and the garlic noodles with pork belly. Both dishes were packed with flavor and super satisfying. The pork belly on the garlic noodles had that perfect crispy edge with a tender, melt-in-your-mouth center--easily the highlight. We went on a Sunday night, and the place had a fun, lively vibe. There are tables available, but it does get busy, so come with a little patience. Definitely worth checking out if you're in the area.

Long post: starts with below expectations, and it finishes with highlights…read more We had a highly anticipated dinner last night at Morimoto Maui, and I think that Iron Chef Morimoto would be as disappointed as we were -- if not more so. We opted for the Omakake (Tasting) Menu along with the Wine Pairing for each course. We knew it would be expensive (prices intentionally deleted), but we felt it would be a wonderful experience. We have eaten at Morimoto at Sea on several Holland America Line ships, including our recent cruise on HAL's Nieuw Amsterdam that has a dedicated Morimoto Restaurant mid-ship on deck 11 -- those meals have always been fantastic. Back to last night. Disappointment #1 -- The wine for the first course arrived 5 minutes before Course 1, the Toro Tartare. The wine had lost most of its coolness, and intended flavor and aroma, by time the dish arrived. Disappointment #2 -- The Intermezzo dish, the Sudachi cucumber sorbet was a bit sour. Other intermezzi that I have had were a slightly sweet, perhaps lime or lemon sorbet. AND they typically were paired with a splash of champagne or a sparkling brut (why not include the Morimoto Dream Rosè?) Disappointment #3 -- Course 5, the Surf & Turf, was bad! The very small portion of the Wagyu beef was Medium Well to Well Done and appeared to have been burnt over a flame. When we told our server, his comment was, "That's why I recommended the Japanese A5 Wagyu [at an additional $80 per person!]." Sorry burnt beef if burnt beef, no matter what the price. Training/Expectations seem low: Where do they get their water glasses? On the discount table at Walmart? These two are different styles on the same table; at least our two were the same style, although different from those two. And the dessert spoons -- two different styles given to us. I expect (and I am sure others also do) a much higher standard at this famous Iron Chef restaurant. DELIGHTS: Course 1 - The Toro Tartare was so tasty. We are used to a tartare to be chopped, perhaps even finely chopped, but this one was made into a puree. The toppings (caviar and rice crackers were tasty, and the rice crackers looked like little sweet ice cream toppings. Course 2 - Red Snapper Carpaccio was liked by someone who does not normally like raw fish. The light sauce added a subtle dash of flavor, and we were able to roll the pieces with chop sticks and heat an entire price at once. Course 3 - Lobster Takoyaki. The three "lobster balls" were served warm, and they were very tasty. A large piece of lobster in each roll was a true delight. Course 4 - Sushi. The 5 pieces of nigiri were Chu Toro, Hamachi, Salmon, Campachi, and Big Eye Tuna. There was a light smear of wasabi between the fish and the rice; I had already asked for more (and hotter) wasabi that I mixed with the soy sauce. We brought a few pieces of the sushi back to the condo for a later snack. Course 6 -- the dessert was so-so in my opinion. Sharon liked it, so it was probably just my tastebuds and not the actual dessert. We had planned to go back to Morimoto Maui next week for a special Wagyu and Wine pairing, but based on last night's Wagyu failure, we have cancelled the reservation. I hope that our next dinner at a stateside Morimoto restaurant (probably Morimoto Napa in 4 weeks) is a much better experience for us.

The pork Gyoza, sticky ribs were a hit with everyone (even the kids). You always have to order the shisoto Peppers! For mains, the braised black cod, the ribeye steak, the duck fried rice, and the A5 Ishiyaki Bur Bap is a must! I mean he did win with this dish! Important to note, this restaurant is Located on the lower pool level of the Andaz Maui. If you are dining with someone with mobility issues, there are a few stairs.

We were able to get a table on the patio overlooking the resort, which offered a great view. We chose the breakfast buffet, and there were plenty of options for everyone. The made‑to‑order omelets were excellent--we ordered ours with everything (veggies and meat), and it was perfect. The avocado toast bar was another highlight, and the selection of fresh fruit was impressive. A couple of notes: alcohol isn't served until after 8 a.m., and if you sit on the outdoor patio, be prepared for very active birds--they're constantly swooping around. The view is beautiful, though, so it's still worth it.

Humble Market Kitchen feels like a restaurant that knows it has a captive audience and has stopped trying very hard. The food was uninspired, generic, and significantly overpriced for what was delivered. Nothing was particularly bad, but almost nothing was memorable either. Breakfast was especially underwhelming. Skip the buffet. The eggs were watery and soupy, and the "Hawaiian sausage" turned out to be little more than sliced hot dogs. For a resort of this caliber in a destination known for incredible food, it felt surprisingly low effort. Service was probably the strongest part of the experience, but even that was average at best. I'd call it a 6 out of 10. Friendly enough, but not the level of hospitality you'd expect given the prices and setting. The disconnect is especially noticeable because the Wailea Beach Resort itself is fantastic. We genuinely loved our stay and would absolutely return to the property. That's what makes the restaurant so disappointing. It feels like a business operating inside a great resort rather than an extension of the resort experience. If you're staying at the Wailea Beach Resort, do yourself a favor and explore the many excellent dining options around Wailea instead. Maui has too many great restaurants to spend your vacation settling for this one.
