But the sushi is cheap and the drinks are strong so that tourist vibe wears off pretty fast around the end of round two. Since the sushi is reasonably priced, that leaves you more money for round three! Located on Kihei road in a cute little cluster of souvenir shops, restaurants and other interesting establishments. Had such a good first experience, we came back again. This time, we were seated on a completely empty patio at the worst table possible, near a newly constructed little add on to the building that they were worried about structurally during our 30 minutes there with at least 3 people coming to look at it and hovering around us. The next few groups got the better seating along the edges at tables that weren't in high traffic areas, slammed against a wall. Our waitress, wow. Disgraceful. Maria I believe? She showed disgust at our order and was the most unfriendly waitress we have ever had. We ate as quickly as possible, slammed our drinks (they were actually just water, absolutely no flavor or color for a margarita), and got out in under 30 minutes we were SOOOO uncomfortable. My husband and I went in here since we have heard great reviews from this place. It was actually between this place and Paia Fish Market and I wish we went with the other place instead. We went in and told the host we were ok with sitting inside after requesting to eat outside which would've been a longer wait. We were sat and the host was super nice. We were greeted after about 5 mins of being seated. We were greeted with waters and I ordered a mai tai while we looked over the menu. The Mai tai was really good and tasty. Then our server came back after about another 5 mins. We asked questions about the menu and got some recs from the server. We ordered the pork belly as an app. My husband ordered the chicken katsu sandwich and I ordered the spicy tuna roll and hamapeño roll again, rec from the server. The pork belly and katsu sandwich came out after about 10 mins of ordering. One thing about my husband is that he will always wait for my food to come so that we can eat together at the same time. My husband had eaten all his fries while waiting for my food to come. My sushi took exactly 45 mins to come. Not ONE person came to our table to check up on us until my HUSBAND went and asked our server on an ETA for my sushi. She said "should be coming out any minute" without even checking with the kitchen or anything. This would've been a perfect time to pick up the dirty plates from our table from the apps we ate or to refill our waters but nothing. 10 mins later, I happen to lock eyes with the manger which makes him come over and ask us how we're doing. We tell him that we're waiting on the sushi and have been for some time and he mentioned that the sushi cook was making sushi for both sides of the restaurant. Mind you, it's 2:45 on a Thursday and it's not busy. Steady, but not slammed. He gave us a plate of fries and half price sushi on each roll to compensate. He did apologize for the wait. My sushi came out about 45 mins later and what was most upsetting, the sushi was so incredibly mid. It was not worth the wait at all. I felt bad for sending it back or ordering something else because I was so hungry so I just ate what I could. I mainly got full off of the fries. Food wise, the best things here were the Mai tai and fries. The other food we had ordered was all mid. Nothing show stopping. Overall I'd say this place is overrated. Stopped at this location before our beach adventures on the south side. We happen to find parking on the street, we got lucky! Walked a block to get to this restaurant. We were greeted and seated at a location near the bar. I forgot her name, she was the sweetest person ever. She was a bartender and playing waitress at the same time that morning. She took our order immediately, we ordered Ramen Soup and a loco moco plate. Received all within the 10 minute mark. Service was fast! Kudos to the cooks. Took a bite out of both entrees. They were both delicious! Rice was fresh with hot gray flowing and sunny side up eggs were on par. The ramen was warm and tasty as well. The broth was fullfilling. No complaints on the food and Service. All was excellent. Our bartender/waitress did and exceptional job. I asked her questions about the road to hana as well as WHALE adventures excursions. I stated we booked $49.99 excursion to see whales on the quicksilver boat. She gave us insights to sit in the back and what to watch out for. Since we were visiting Maui, we had to stop by Three's Bar and Grill to see what it was all about. The food exceeded my expectations, offering a wide variety of dishes inspired by Hawaiian cuisine. I personally ordered the Loco Moco, which consisted of two beef hamburger patties atop eggs and rice, all smothered in a rich mushroom gravy. I mean, what more could you want? A protein-packed dish with gravy--just thinking about it makes my mouth water! My wife got the ramen with the chicken broth which was also really good. Pros: The service was outstanding. The staff was incredibly attentive and answered all my questions about the menu, which I especially appreciated since I can't have tomatoes in my food. Cons: The only downside was that the service was a bit slow--it felt like it took forever for our dishes to arrive. The prices here are on par with other restaurants in the area, at least in the more touristy parts of Maui. The ambience is a unique blend of bar, Hawaiian culture, and cabin vibes--if you can picture that--and it was well-decorated. If I return to Maui and find myself in the area, I would definitely visit this place again without hesitation. read more

Didn't like the burger I tried at all and the chicken katsu shandwich was okay. Their lilikoi cheesecake was alright, but tasted way sweeter than we got used to with lilikoi desserts on the island. A very casual place in a really fun part of Kihei. We started with the usual Caesar and it was very good although I think they made a mistake and brought out the entrees at the same time but we didn't say anything. We had the full size and it was perfect to share. My lovely date had the Ahi and said it was very good. I tried it and it tasted very fresh. They said the fish is caught "just a football field away" as we were directly across from the ocean. Sounds like a typical line to give a tourist. I had the teriyaki chicken and it was different in a good way from what I've had before. Interesting mashed type potatoes. We then had the bananas foster and it was really good although the cake part was more of a cinnamon pound cake. Good sized portion and it should be for almost $17! Service was good and we sat on the back patio which was nice. Sushi looked good but we are going to a sushi place later in the trip so chose otherwise. Try to go just before sundown and visit the park across the street for some amazing sunset views. read more

We came here as a party of 8 and unfortunately had a very disappointing experience. The food was simply not good. The ramen was cold, watery, and missing the egg that was listed on the menu -- honestly the worst ramen I've ever had. The salmon was undercooked and raw in the center, and the papaya salad was flavorless. The only thing remotely enjoyable were the fries, but even those were served cold along with everything else. When we brought this up, the staff admitted it was "too much for their cook to handle," which was surprising and unprofessional. In the end, our group was refunded, but we left hungry and frustrated.
