One of hubs' favorite restaurant options is always Thai, so after hours of driving, he was excited to see a listing for a Thai restaurant in Hana. Be sure to watch for the sign as you approach - we drove by the first time and came back to make it into the parking lot. The person taking orders was helpful and warned us right away that they were out of curry. The person who makes it measures from her heart, won't share her recipe, and was out shopping. We shared the fried rice with chicken and some spring rolls. It was all so delicious, and fun to sit on the deck and watch the road and town while relaxing after the crazy road. My real praise starts a couple hours later. As we made it to our next stop, I remember that I had never taken my bag off the back of the chair back at the restaurant! I called as soon as we had a phone signal again, and the gentleman who answered the phone assured me right away that he'd seen it and was keeping it safe. I told him we'd be back for it the next day, and he told me what time he'd be there. Luckily for me, hubs drove back alone the next day (he loves the road, and it's more fun for him without me panicking from the passenger seat). The man at the restaurant said he'd tried to get our attention as we left, and again when we drove by after visiting the shore! I was so grateful to have my stuff back, and be able to board our plane the next day with my id. P.S. - the food and service was 5 stars even if they hadn't helped with my mix up later! read more

Outside seating , actually came by golf cart from the resort and walked back. There is a wait , very popular. Totally worth it. Thai Food by Parnee was a great find. I ordered the Drunken Rice with chicken, which is their version of Pad Krapow, Thai basil chicken. It was full of flavor and just the right amount of spice. I also had the Pad See Ew, and it was cooked perfectly with tender noodles and a nice, balanced sauce. My friends ordered one of the fried dishes that came with a mango salad, and it was really good too. For being a little off the beaten path, this place serves solid food. We came here for lunch on our Road To Hana, and this spot is definitely a go-to. We asked the cashier for recommendations, and she liked the Red Curry with Pork Belly and the Fried Fish with Mango Salad. We ordered those two, got our number, and waited about twenty minuted til our food came. It is a small food truck with outdoor seating. The food was very generous! The red curry complimented the crispy pork belly well and had a tiny spice to it. It was on the heavier side and filled us up nice. The fried fish was a lot lighter and the mango salad was fresh. It is humble and the accommodations are basic, but the fire that will warm your taste buds and soul are served inside those food containers. The flavors are out of this world delicious, and the servings are super generous. If you're staying in Hana or just visiting for the day, stop in for lunch or an early dinner. You will not regret it. My drunken noodles and crispy pork belly was hot, delicious and absolutely amazing. The flavors remind me of the some of the great Thai restaurants back in L.A. or better, even. OMG words just do not give this the justice it deserves. Hands down this is the best Thai food we've had in the US. It was the most authentic and similar to the Thai we ate in the islands of Thailand. We literally devoured our plates. It literally took us back to our time living in Thailand and made the crazy turny road to Hana worth the drive just for this meal! If you are taking the road to Hana and find your way down to this area then you must try the Thai food here! This is possibly the best red curry we have ever had! The broth was creamy and rich, but was not overly sweet. They are also generous with their ingredients and do not skimp like some other restaurants do. The pineapple fried rice was also amazing. We ended up coming here after going to red sand beach which is down the street. It's a cute little place off to the side of the road. Not much parking but you can always park nearby on the street. The place is what you expect it to be with outdoor seating, a little messy and some bugs. Expect to wait a decent bit of time for your food because it's a small food truck. We waited around 35 minutes but it went by quickly as we were decompressing from the drive to Hana. The food is absolutely delicious. My wife had the pineapple fried rice and it had a ton of flavor plus the shrimp were great. The vegetable spring rolls were also very good and tasted homemade. I had the chicken fried rice which I ate in entirety. Most fried rice you need to add soy sauce or hot sauce for flavor but this was delicious without. Overall a great experience here. read more

A friend recommended the place and we had to stop it while doing the Hana Rd trip for the day. The place is like a food truck style, with some tables around and parking spots. We ordered the spring rolls to start which were good, nothing really special and a bit too oily. I ordered the chicken fried rice which was well seasoned and good but I wish I had ordered the pad thai instead just because it's too much rice. My husband had the shrimp pineapple fried rice and he really liked it but wished it had more shrimps on it. There were only 3 pieces (big ones but still) and looooots of pineapple. Wow this was probably the best Thai food I've ever had! Such a great end to our road to Hana journey. I will say, the food takes a loooong time once you order it (about an hour) even when the place looks dead. It's definitely worth the wait (I can't explain how good the food tastes!) but don't come here if you're in a hurry. We ordered the pad kee mao, which was so so so good and actually had a kick of spice to it (usually I don't find pad kee mao spicy at all). We also got the chicken fried rice, which had such a great flavor to it. The portions are also large and the food is so fresh that it comes out steaming hot. The Thai iced tea was ok, but I don't think I'd get it again. The seating area is super cute, especially the patio area close to the "food truck" kitchen. I ordered Thai iced tea, it was sweeter than I expected, but still yummy. For my main course, I had a beef pad Thai and a side of spring rolls. There's no reservations and the food is super authentic (two people cooking, one of which was the owner herself!) so be patient waiting for your food. It's worth the wait. We got the pad Thai, Panang curry, and crispy opaka mango salad. All were good but the star of the show was the crispy opaka mango salad!! You MUST try this.
