Not overly impressed with the food or the service on our first trip there. They only had a four top, and a couple of two tops in the restaurant, but a very large party in the bar. I wasn't served my drink, until I reminded our server, then another server, our ticket was wrong, may have been stretched thin on staff? My big pet peeve, our server only spoke to my companion, who was male and only in Spanish, she wasn't flirting but was actually a little dismissive when I tried to ask questions. I was thinking she was more comfortable speaking Spanish, yet had no problem speaking in English to the couple in front of us, and yes, she addressed the male mostly too. Tip; when you serve don't assume that the male in the group is paying or tipping. We always give a place a second try, I hope it will be better next time. read more

I have not stopped thinking about Lima Limon's food since visiting tehm last summer. Yes, we did have to wait a while for our food but seriously! Good food takes TIME to prepare, if people want fast food then go to a fast food joint. The food here was SOOO AMAZING, without a doubt the most delicious and expertly seasoned food I have ever had the privilege of eating. I will go here every time I am in Kuna. I live in Oregon and would even consider driving 6 hours just for the food. read more

A bit out of the way but well worth it. We were looking for something different and chose Lima Limon because it featured Peruvian. The host was gracious and took time to explain all the menu items including Peruvian beverages. They served a unique hot sauce that really compliments the meal. The most delicious hibachi I have ever had in Boise, ID, or perhaps anywhere. Very talented and exciting performance. If you like sake you may be in for a pleasant surprise! Definitely try the firecracker roll. from the sushi bar. Cocktails, and Beer are at a great price and during happy hour I'm quite certain they sell premium craft beers at less than cost. Wow! What a dining experience. This restaurant is great! Best Salmon I ever tasted. The owners are so friendly and they cook delicious food. I had Lima Limon bookmarked for a couple of months now, and my husband and I finally had the chance to try it yesterday afternoon. We started off by ordering Pisco sour's. As many have noted, the Pisco sour was absolutely divine. We could have easily had several more but decided against it since it was only 12:15 in the afternoon! We started off with the Ceviche Mixto appetizer. Deliciously light with lime and cilantro flavors with a hint of heat. There were also a couple of clams mixed in which was a nice surprise. It came with a side of Peruvian corn (choclo) which looked like giant corn kernels but was meaty and not sweet- similar to hominy. My husband ordered the Lomo Saltado which had delicious flavors but there were no yellow peppers. There were a ton of onions mixed in instead, but the meat and flavors were delicious. I ordered the Camarones Con Crema which came with seven large shrimp and mushrooms mixed in a delicious cream sauce with a side of rice. Very rich and a bit heavy but perfect for a cold January day. The only setback was that it took an hour and a half for us to finish lunch. The owner/chef was the only one working there when we arrived so he had to service all of the tables himself (6 other patrons). The Pisco sour's arrived promptly, but it took another half an hour for the appetizer to show up. Then it took another 45 minutes for our lunch to arrive. The food was delicious and yes, the service was slow, but a great place to try something new that is cooked fresh as long as you plan on spending a leisurely afternoon eating lunch. read more

We very nearly missed out on the best lunch ever! Do NOT be deterred by the outside, my husband and I looked at each other and said "yeh, I don't think so" and drove away. I looked again at the reviews to see why so many 5 stars. Then I saw one review that said pretty much what we did and they decided to try it and were delighted they did. So, my husband and I decided to turn around and give it a try. I'm REALLY glad we did! Best guacamole ever! We also had the Jalea (Mixture of crispy seafood, yucca & salsa criolla served with tartar sauce) as an appetizer. I had never heard of it, but we were feeling adventurous and it was awesome! I had the Tallarine Saltado tender pieces of steak, bright tomatoes, yellow peruvian peppers, onions, mushrooms and spaghetti all seasoned with soy sauce and the chef's secret sauce. SOOOO GOOD, I had the left over for supper. My husband had the chicken enchiladas and said they were excellent. My husband is already talking about going back and I'm all in with that! I visited Peru several times and always enjoyed the food and the People. I drove by Lima Limon and decided to stop and see if I could have a good authentic Peruvian meal. This place was very pleasant surprise! The outside of the building is deceiving but the inside is quaint. Augustin is the owner and is very friendly and provided excellent service. I had the Lomo Saltado. The food was very prompt and a good proportion for the price. If your looking for something different at a nice place I highly recommend Lima Limon. read more

This place is terrible. i heard it was good but my experience was horrible. not only did it take 45 minutes for my food to come to the table but it was bland. The waitress was rude when i asked her for a refill on my pepsi. Not only was the experience terrible but the next few days were terrible as well. i had extreme vomiting and diarreah, pretty sure it came from them. i went back in a few days later to let them know i had got food poisoning from their food. the owner Augustine assured me it wasn't from them and offered me a gift card for my terrible experience. he was very nice so i figured i would give them another shot. i went back next week and tried something else on the menu. this time it wasn't so bad and i did not get sick. But when i went to pay with my gift card there was nothing on it! either he tricked me to coming back or he made a mistake. either way i was very upset that i had to pay for the meal considering i told myself i would never come back but he was nice and convinced me otherwise. i will never go back to this place.
