Over priced and they only give you a tiny plate of food. Literally finished it in five bites. Not happy

You can truly taste how fresh the ingredients are -- bright herbs, perfectly balanced sauces, and flavors that taste authentic and thoughtfully prepared. I grew up helping at my mom's Thai restaurant when I was young, so I'm pretty picky when it comes to Thai food. This place exceeded my expectations. The flavors brought me back -- fresh, vibrant, and made with care. We ordered: * Pad Thai * Mango Salad * Seafood Soup * Yellow Curry * Fried Chicken with Sticky Rice * Thai Tea The Pad Thai was perfectly seasoned with great texture. The mango salad was fresh and crisp with amazing balance. The seafood soup was rich and comforting. The yellow curry was smooth, flavorful, and not overly heavy. The fried chicken with sticky rice was crispy, tender, and so satisfying. And the Thai tea? Absolutely perfect. On top of the incredible food, the service was friendly and welcoming. We will definitely be back. Highly recommend!

The mix of Thai and Burmese dishes really sets it apart from other places in town. The food was overall really flavorful dishes like khao soi papaya salad and other northern Thai dishes , and everything tastes fresh and well-prepared. The flavors feel more traditional compared to a lot of Thai spots around here. The restaurant itself is on the smaller side, which gives it a cozy vibe, but it can feel a little tight and busy during peak hours, so it's not the best place for big groups unless you plan ahead. Service was friendly and welcoming, and food came out pretty quickly even when it was busy. Overall, it's a great spot for quality Thai food in Boise. definitely one of the places I'd come back to when I want something more authentic and a little different.

My girlfriend wanted to meet for lunch and she picked Be Thai. I'm so happy she picked this joint…read morecause they have been on my to eat list for a while. I love trying new Thai restaurants in the valley. I wish I lived closer to this joint, I would have tried them out a long time ago. I remember this joint in the late 90's being Yen Ching. Then it changed into another Chinese restaurant after. This restaurant is in such a neat venue but it with time, it has slowed down a lot. This venue used to be buzzin back in the day. I will always have fond memories hanging out in this area. Grabbing dinner, playing at the arcade, grabbing coffee and of course watching the newest movies. I had finished my client early so I headed to the restaurant. I did arrive 45 minutes before our meet up time but I decided to head in. I was greeted by a my server. She told me to sit where I wanted so I grabbed a booth. There were a couple tables that she was dropping food off at before she dropped off some menus. No biggie, I looked at their menu online so I got to see what they all has. Since I was going to hang out for a minute, I ordered fried tofu and a lychee green tea to keep me company till my friend comes. The fried tofu was so good! They were crispy on the outside, perfectly fried golden. The inside was soft. It came with a sweet and sour dipping sauce that had peanuts i. it. All together was was the best bite! I was planning on saving half of the fried tofu for my friend but I ended up eating all of it, I couldn't resist. The lychee green tea was very good! It is on the sweeter side so I did water it down a bit. It ended up being just right. My friend showed up and we both got lunch ordered. I was still hungry even though I smashed all of the fried tofu. I was debating from the shrimp papaya salad or the fried chicken wings. They both sounded so good! I ended up going with the the green papaya salad with shrimp. I got it in mild. Thai people can eat the hell out of spicy food and I'm not that daring withThai peppers so I felt like mild would be safe spice level for me. My papaya salad was beautifullyplated! It was on a fresh lettuce leaf. Everything looked so clean and fresh. It had a nice amount of green beans in it. The shrimp on top looked plump. It was a hearty amount. The papaya was crunchy and flavorful. The green beans were also very crunchy. The shrimp was cooked just right! The only negative thing about the salad was the spice level. I did ask for mild but it was really spicy. I did talk to my server about it. She checked in the back to make sure it was mild. The chef said the Thai peppers they have in were spicier than normal. She was kind and took my salad back to the kitchen. They added more papaya salad to dull the spice down for me. It worked! It was much better and I didn't have to eat ice after every bite of it. I ate a much as I could but ended up packing more than half of it to take home. I'm happy I got to have lunch here today. The food was so good! So fresh! Our server was the sweetest and did such a great job taking care of us. Being in this area brought back so many fun memories. Be Thai has officially been marked off my to eat list and will now be placed on my come back list. I look forward to my next batch of papaya salad from this joint.

I didn't really care for the tofu they used. But I came in today with an open mind. It was a pretty chill afternoon when I got there so I was sat quickly. I waited for my friend to show up so I just hung out and looked over the menu. For lunch I decided to order the Tom Yum soup. It was colder today so something hot would be nice. My friend ordered a couple things for lunch. I remember he did order the crying tiger ( I believe that that is what it was called). My soup came out in a beautifully decorated bowl. It was sitting on top of a burner but the burner wasn't lit which confused me. It would have been nice if the burner would have been lit to keep the soup hot. The soup was flavorful but really sweet. I didn't taste much sour or heat to the soup. You get a hearty amount of mushrooms, chicken and broth. Overall it was a decent soup. After a while I focused on just eating the stuff in the soup and not finishing the broth. You can handle so much of the sweetness. Service was good. I did get a taste of my friend's marinated steak, it was really good. But for the cost of the steak, you really don't get much. I have tried this place twice now and I wish I could say that I love it. The food is decent but there are so many Thai joints in the valley that I just like a little better. I'm happy I got to try it twice but I'll just stick to my regular joints that I frequent.
