We chose Tasty Thai based on reviews. With that said, I felt we need to leave a review of our experience. We used UBER Eats to deliver pad thai and panang curry. We requested specifically, no bell pepper. The bowl was full of very mushy bell pepper. And, the pad Thai was an over cooked, mushy, block of noodles that all stuck together. You could even pick up a bite without it breaking in pieces. The noodles were terrible. The rice was VERY mushy and had a patch of something brown in it. Tasty Thai is a relatively new food truck in Kuna. it is conveniently located right off E. Avalon St., behind the Kuna location of Old Fashioned Fruit & Veg. When visiting a new Thai restaurant for the first time, my go to dish is Green Curry. I ordered Green Curry ($12.95) and Thai Mango Sticky Rice ($6.95) to go. I was a bit reluctant to order the Green Curry because of how it was noted on the menu as "slightly sweeter." Not only have I have never heard Green Curry described that way before, part of the reason why it's my go to dish is that I can always count on it bringing some heat. When I inquired about this, I didn't get an explanation, but was told they could add some chilies to mine to make it spicier. Tasty Thai uses Maesri brand curry pastes. One of my pet peeves about Thai restaurants in Idaho is most use premade curry pastes. I don't typically visit Thai restaurants that use premade curry pastes from scratch, for the same reason I wouldn't visit an Italian restaurant that used premade marinara sauce. The Green Curry had good flavor, but like most Thai green curries I've had in the US, it was too watery. That happens when you use a coconut milk that has less than 40% coconut extract. Given how watery it was, it would've been nice if it had come with a larger portion of rice. I didn't care for the chicken, which was overcooked and came in minuscule pieces. The Mango Sticky Rice was excellent! it was perfectly packaged with a small container of coconut cream on the side. There is plenty of outdoor seating available, including some that is shaded. read more

My wife and have been wanting to try this spot in Kuna and so glad we did. This is tucked back in behind the fruit stand right off Kuna Rd. Walking up there's plenty of seating and while there is umbrellas and attempts to block the sun this place can be a little hot to eat at especially in the afternoon. But that didn't scare us off...the only other thing I would suggest is while we really enjoyed the food the amount of flies this time of year made it hard to eat outside. Next time I would just bring it home. As far as everything else this is a hidden gem. If you are anything familiar with the treasure valley this area is starving for this kind of food. I would go to say for their menu they are the best Thai food we have eaten since moving here. Yes I have tried others and this small food truck can stand tall amongst brick and mortar joints. For food we had the chicken Pad Thai (spicy), Thai chicken fried rice and chicken yellow curry. All the dishes were delicious and we loved every bit of the food. The staff as well is super friendly and loved the family atmosphere. We will for sure be back and anyone reading this I hope you will give them a chance! read more

The food is on point! The service is "different" than from a restaurant. With that being said, it is a "food truck" and with that the atmosphere is fun and different! Just don't go on a rainy day expecting to stay dry. It is a food truck with seating, but it is outside. read more

To start. I had high hopes for this based on reviews from other sources. We got the pad see ew, pad Thai and yellow curry. The good: the location The bad: 1. The food: zero flavor. The pad see ew was tasteless, it had random veggies in it not broccoli and peanut like it's supposed to. The noodles were over cooked. The chicken and flavor were as bland as eating a boiled chicken breast with no flavor. The yellow curry: terrible, had pineapple in it, which is whatever, no potatoes. No flavor once again. The pad Thai tasted like peanut butter and noodles. 2. The price vs what you get. 53 dollars for a small bowl of pad Thai and see ew, curry that lacked any vegetables found in curry and a small container of rice. I hate leaving a bad review but this business is in dire need of seeing this and improving the quality of their dishes. None of this food was even remotely worth the price. 53 dollars for 3 dishes that didn't taste like anything is robbery. I love supporting small businesses but unfortunately this will be a business that lost a customer. I hope they can bring their dishes around and improve the quality of their dishes. It's just what it says it is--tasty thai food. My go-to's are chicken pad thai and drunken noodles. Both stack up very well compared to the best of Thai places throughout the area. We haven't had an entree here that we haven't liked. The food comes out essentially hot of the grill and is ready in a reasonable time. The food is excellent and the owners are so friendly. They share a parking lot with a fruit and veggie stand and get most of their fruits and vegetables from there, so everything is extra fresh and flavorful. Can't wait to go back! read more
