This five star review is really for our project manager, Joel. He could not have been more…read moreresponsive or accommodating to make sure we got what we were hoping for - and one week out from project completion, we really are happy with the final results. The overall process was not as smooth as we expected from System Pavers given its name and pricing tier. There were several miscommunications and/or mistakes that we had to catch and bring up ourselves (sometimes repeatedly), which was disappointing and stressful. However, at the end of the day, everything did get addressed to our satisfaction and for that, we're thankful for the team we had.

I was able to schedule a free consultation on their website the next week and had Dan come by. I am a pretty indecisive person but Dan did an amazing job taking my vision and helping it come to life. The estimate was done the same day, I felt some pressure to sign the deal that day but negotiated what I thought was fair. I was originally told a time frame 1-2 weeks earlier than what happened, which is one of the reasons why this is losing a star. Eric, the construction manager, came by with Dan a few weeks later to do an initial construction walk through and he also suggested adding another level/ stairs and helped me figure out a drain situation. I appreciated the feedback and ideas. Overall, both Dan and Eric went the extra mile and were responsive when I reached out. The week of construction, communication on when they were coming, progress, etc could have been better from the Crew itself but it is a sub-contractor.. (which is the other reason for one less star). The team worked hard in 80+ degree heat 5 days in a row, were very polite to me and the job was done quickly. Eric did a final walkthrough with me and I pointed out a couple minor flaws and they were quickly repaired the following week to my satisfaction. Overall, I recommend this company as they back up their product and have a good warranty. It is pricey, yes, but I believe this is a good investment and I have really loved spending time in my new yard. Thanks!

They proceeded to do her entire driveway without asking. She signed a contract for $36,000, once again note this is a 90 yr. old widower who is very frugal with her meager savings. She went to her accountant to arrange for a check. We found out about this and called Oregon asphalt and they said they did not ask for the $36,000, that she gave it to them on her own will. There was a lot of B.S. from the employee about the situation. The invoice went down to $11,125. Keep in mind she only consented to the $1.200 job. It is deplorable that this company took advantage of her. She did not Need any of the work done in the first place. Plus they did a horrible job! They are supposed to come back and rectify their shoddy work. Hopefully that will happen. Please spread the word about this.

When I asked for an estimate of what the total cost would be, he said $12,000. Foolishly, I got nothing in writing. I was shocked at the end of the day to be presented with a bill for $42,000. Along with that, they messed up the entry to South Yamhill Cemetery, damaged my neighbors drive, and mangled a metal fence that they backed equipment into. There has been no response to my concerns, nor have they responded to my neighbor whose driveway they damaged. I posted a negative review on Facebook and it has been changed to a positive one.

After this unexpected remodel and damage was exposed we had a delay of several months to get on their schedule. When the project date arrived, they showed up on time, cleaned well after the demolition/addition of interior floors to allow drainage and a sump-pump. My original review (4 star due to not adjusting the cost when less product was used) they owned the mistake and recognized their communication gaps. I do appreciate that attention and feel more confident in the company. I look forward to many years of DRY basement/master bedroom living.

So, this summer, we decided to move forward with the plan to be "soakin' for the holidays" three months away. The only thing standing in the way of that dream: the slab and its neighbor had sunk a few extra degrees, roughly three inches, at the far edge. We were going to need to shore up and permanently stabilize this slab if our hopes of the (3-ton when filled) tub were going to materialize. I made a quick call to Terra Firma and they had an estimator out within a few days. The pricing was reasonable and had the standard 50% up front 50% when complete-type contract. Casey arrived spot-on at 8:00am yesterday morning and began doing his magic (the process involves boring 1/2" holes through the slab, then using high pressure and heat to inject a molten expanding foam under the slab.) The foam is rated to support about 5 tons (10,000 pounds) per pound of foam material, and....100 pounds later that whole slab is back to following the prescribed slope perfectly, raising almost three inches on the sunken side. He did a great job and was a great rep for the company, explaining what little was left to explain. He kept me up on the status of the (4-hour) job as he went along--because our slabs had previously cracked, he had to gently lift it up in small sections so as to not have the sections separate further. Perfect job. 24 hours later and the patched holes have dried to almost-invisible (see photos). Unless you know what you're looking for, you can't even really see that repairs were made. Now I just need to fill in the pre-existing cracks with concrete patching caulk and we're ready to schedule the hot tub delivery! Yippee! Thanks Terra Firma!
