Maybe its because this place reminds me so much of the bar I spent a lot of time with my friends in in college, but I really liked this place. The wife and I stopped by here after our original plan fell through. We came later on a rainy night so the bar was not very crowded. We ordered the Irish nachos, shepherds pie, zucchini sticks and pudding. All the food was really good, though I think the shepherds pie could use a little more seasoning. They also had a good beer selection. Not beer geek good, but definitely had many satisfying options for the craft brew enthusiast. Service was top notch too! We had a trainee who was on top of things and, after her shift ended, our waiter continued with the awesome services. As an odd plus, my wife, who loves 90s music, was blown away with all the music playing while we were there... Turns out it was the blink 182 station. Makes sense. read more

Second time in. The seat yourself option in this place really leaves too much room for patrons to not be seen when entering. I agree with the lower star reviews. Service is slow and also met with an attitude. It took 1/2 hour for our first round of 2 beers. It took 3 more reminders for the waters we requested with the beer. The bangers and mash is literally one sausage and one scoop of mashed potatoes with stringy cabbage or what they say is kale?? It was weird AND it was $14! I thought they had split it for us as my wife and I intended to share. NOPE! We ordered the poutine which was ok. Edible but not remarkable. All in all it took about an hour and a half to get through dinner that should have been 45 minutes tops. We might have had more beer but we didn't have another hour to wait for them. The only reason they didn't get a one star is because we went on Thursday and they had street style tacos for a buck fifty. We ordered 8 because we were still starving. The tacos were good. I'm not sure why servers have an attitude. I would guess with the lack of proper seating they might not have an opportunity to make as much when customers sit wherever they choose. Came for happy hour 4-6p and was told that happy hour prices are only on beer not alcoholic beverages. If you order a beer thats 7$ or under, you get the next one free. I came in at 5:45p. This this place had an excellent opportunity to impress a large group of people when one of my meet ups decided to get together here. Unfortunately, even though we planned ahead and let them know days in advance that 30 people would be making their way into their establishment, they only had one server for a whole group. Imagine one poor person fetching drinks and food for almost 30 people. It left quite a few hungry and thirsty patrons. We just ordered appetizers and beer this night and they had a great selection. We ordered the wings and the Irish nachos and they were quite good for barfood. The best part about this place is the beer selection. I imbibed on several amazing selections that were offered on tap. This place is probably a great place to meet with the small group of friends interested in watching the game, but it has a little to be desired if you bring in a bunch of people at once. read more

Wow. Sad to say my opinion of this place has changed so much. I stopped in with a buddy of mine on a Saturday night. We both ordered the same beer and the bartender, Lisa, came back with one from the fridge and poured the other from the tap. Huh? My buddy asked if she brought his beer, previously poured, from the fridge. She confirmed she did but that it was still "fresh". He asked for a fresh pour but instead, she continued to promise it was good. She told us the beer was from someone who ordered it but then wanted a blue moon instead. Excuse me? I've been to a LOT of bars in my time. I've drank a LOT of beers in my time. Never....ever...have I or the people I've been drinking with been treated like this. If you read my previous reviews, you'll see I genuinely loved this place....past tense. Now, I question every beer I ever ordered here. At a minimum, when a customer catches you in the act, treat them with respect and give them a fresh pour. What a bad way to start the night (and, for us, end it). Service like that made us finish our beers and get the heck outta there as soon as possible. Sorry Limericks. Guess I'll stick to Claremont area for my gastro-pub and beer fix from now on. Gastropub accurately describes the food here, great waitress " Lindsay" even though she was covering the whole bar. I am extremely picky and loved the Irish Nachos, Bacon Mac and don't forget to order the fresh peach cobbler. Holy cow the best ever. Then asked for a vodka and chambord, perfect if I may say so. The drinks are always prepared spot-on & they will make anything (I showed the waitress a drink recipe on my phone & she made it perfect!). I'm giving Limericks 5 stars because of the value that you get here. The inside is clean, well decorated, high definition screens everywhere, friendly staff, with some of the best bar food at some of the lowest prices I've ever seen for quality food. I've been for Sunday morning breakfast and late on Friday and Saturday night and not once have they disappointed. They have a good beer selection both tap and bottle along with a full bar. As far as food goes I've had: Irish Nachos: which are thick potatoes chips covered with cheese and some good quality corned beef. Very good. Bacon Mac & Cheese: Pretty good, they don't skimp on the bacon. Home made potato chips: great with beer Beer battered fish bites: nice chunks of fresh tasting white fish with a thin layer of batter. Very good. Chili: An all meat chili that isn't made with beans, honestly the best chili that I have EVER had at a restaurant. Just the right amount of spice, very meaty. Bread pudding: bomb, you'd never expect this kind of dessert at a bar. I even had an omelet and biscuits and gravy for breakfast on Sunday, both very good and better than anything you'd get at almost any nearby breakfast place! What pushes the rating up to 5 stars for Limericks is the prices. You can get high quality, well prepared and great tasting food for under $10. Everything on their entire menu is very reasonable. They could easily get a way with higher prices based on the quality of the food. A hidden gem in Upland. If you're looking for a good bite to eat, a cool place to have drinks with friends, a place to watch the game, or a place to have a good Sunday breakfast, Limericks is an excellent choice! It was a rainy night, our car club meeting had just concluded we were looking for a place to have some good grub. Read some Yelp reviews and selected Limericks. This place is cool, it does look like and old fashion Irish bar/tavern. We sat next to (2) locals, (senior women), I will call them Norm & Cliff. My better half ordered the Irish stew. I ordered the fish & chips. The beer battered fish was very good, It came with a side of peas that were sprinkled with bacon bits in a creamy delicious sauce. I ate my veggies, and was happy I did. I can't wait to go back to try some of the other selections on the menu. Our server was very friendly, helpful, and took care of us. Almost forgot, we ordered the peach cobbler to go. It was great. The 2nd star here was because our server was nice and attentive. Also the margarita was good. That is all I can say good about the place. The food wasn't very good but most of all it just felt, looked, and smelled dirty. The smell was so bad that it affected my appetite and my mood. The tables were sticky. People were wandering through to the bathroom unmasked. The bar was packed and everyone was just shouting and laughing and spreading their cooties everywhere. Wonderful Irish pub spot! Apparently there are three locations in the SoCal area. Ordered the Scottish salmon for $18 and it was fantastic. The white wine cream sauce was amazing. The bbq pizza had a nice taste too it very unique could've been from all the cheddar cheese on it. Cant believe what happened here tonight. We've been coming here for over 2 years and love the people who work here. Came in here for a night cap with my girlfriend around 9 PM. Sat at the front with some of the regulars. One of the employees Alyssa was there as a patron, and is obviously drunk, immediately starts giving my gf dirty looks and says "what are you doing"? My gf says "what's your issue"? Alyssa says "well you dont like this place so what are you doing here"? Apparently Alyssa is upset over a yelp review my gf made about the FOOD we had Friday, not the service or the people. The yelp review was for the owner, not employees. Anyway, she continues looking at my gf sideways and then calls here a "BITCH". We spend a lot of money here, we come here at least 3 times a week. But I guess the food and service has gone to shit. This place used to be great. Great food, great servers and bar tenders. Now that the Chino location open this place has gone down hill quick. Seems like the owner doesn't remember where he came from. Usually around my birthday I enjoy comfort things like whiskey, scotch, Guinness, potatoes and cheese. This year on this 12/19/2018 the wife and I had lunch at Limericks I had the Limericks Stout I think it was $3 which was fantastic. I started out with the clam chowder which when it cam out looked like it came off a fisherman's warf w/o the bread bowl. YUUMM. I also ordered the Shepard pie! Awesome, very great consistency the flavors were all there! Then we went and ordered the chicken wings which were also very good. I'd love this opportunity to meet the owners of the establishment. Came here for St. Patrick's Day 2013 (3.17.13) Arrived around 12:10pm and there was a line going several stores down, there were 2 guys playing bagpipes to entertain the crowd. I'm not sure why they hired 2 Scots in kilts to play the eardrum destroying sound of bagpipes but nonetheless the crowd of green enjoyed the distraction from having to wait in line. As a group of 4 we ordered Fish & Chips, Corn Beef with Cabbage, Reuben Sandwich, Irish Nachos and Garlic Fries. The chips were a tad overdone and more like fries than traditional chips and one piece of fish had a few bones but other than that it was all scrumptious. We ordered a Guinness ($6) and a couple of 'green' beers which were listed as a $3 special but actually came out as $1 on the bill which was a pleasant surprise. Atmosphere was amazing, and a great place to celebrate St. Patty's. The bagpipers walked up and down the tavern playing that insanely loud noise which started to bug me a little as it made it hard to converse with friends but overall it was still a fun lunch. I just don't get why there were Scottish guys in Kilts playing bagpipes for St. Patty's? wouldn't it have made more sense to get Riverdancers lol. read more

Overall the food is solid, you have a wide variety of premium beers on tap, and there typically isn't a wait time. My first time here the quality of food was superb, but my second time around the food was decent - but I'm giving this place the benefit of the doubt. This tasted pretty solid. We also ordered the Irish Nachos, which are very thin sliced potatoes w/ bacon bits, sour cream, chives, and some pepper. I felt they put too much sour cream on it and it tasted a bit "slimey". Overall we probably should've gotten a different appetizer. My fries w/ my entree were also a bit soggy, so I guess I was expecting crisp fries like my first visit. They also have a wide variety of premium beers on tap here, so that's a huge plus. Ambiance/location There are lots of TV's everywhere and plenty of seating to watch games & stuff. A place you could go on a Friday night. Great hostess, casual atmosphere, good selection of drinks, and the food was amazing! Best part? The bread pudding surprisingly, unsurprising. Absolutely delicious. We we're greeted as soon as we walked in. Sat to the left of the entrance to watch the TV's (lunch date with my hubby). We ordered a few things off the menu since was our first time. They follow me on Instagram, and I've heard such good things about them, so when I suggested it to my boyfriend, I had high expectations. What we got was very skimpy dressed waitresses who kept forgetting our drinks and our orders, and who disappeared all throughout our stay there. Also, it was 10:30 pm on a Saturday, and there were kids in there... Way to kill the vibe. The two stars is for their Mac n cheese... I really enjoyed it. My chicken bruchetta sandwich was kinda burnt, and gave me horrible indigestion later on, and my boyfriend was so not happy with his Shepard's pie, which sent him flying to the restroom soon after. Wow, we was very disappointed with the service when we went on for a bite to eat on a Saturday afternoon. My friend and I inquired if we could sit inside, and the waitress quickly remarks no we could not and that there was seating outside. Now yes I understand that we are in the grips of a pandemic and they did have people sitting outside however it took the waitress (even though we went and introduced ourselves on the inside of the bar) it took her 17 minutes to come out and even asked us what we wanted. there were another table of African Americam ladies sitting there and we heard them talking and then abruptly they got up and left. And much to our surprise, their food came out 20 minutes later meanwhile we had not even been asked if we wanted water or anything to drink. We were very very disappointed with the service that we saw however we told the lady we would just like a cheeseburger with fries... another 15 minutes later I went inside and asked if your food was coming soon as we were now in a bit of a rush, she said it would another 20 mins. As I was looking around I did notice that there were quite a few people in there sitting and having their lunch, one couple that had come in after us we're being served their lunch we are very disappointed we paid for our drinks and left.. hopefully in the future management helps ensure that service improves for all patrons, not just the few. read more
