They are. We had a wedding and reception in Seattle and a reception in Minneapolis, so I had the chance to compare what you get when you try to save money on the DJ to what you get when you spend the extra. And honestly, you get what you pay for. I won't comment on my Seattle DJ, besides to repeat that you get what you pay for. But we knew we were going to have a smaller group in the Cities and that the DJ was going to have to play a central role in the reception here. Chris was our DJ, and he was great. He was there before us, set up went fine. He rolled with the punches when a bunch of technical stuff didn't work out. He made announcements, hosted a "game show" that we did for fun, and made the 10-15 people who stayed to dance enjoy themselves. Basically, he ran the show from 6:00 to 11:00 That's not to say we didn't have the night planned out...we did. But after listening to our instructions, he pretty much controlled the room. The DJ was a professional, and so was the set up. We weren't really penny pinching on our wedding stuff, but we're not rich either. But we decided we weren't going to skimp on the DJ here, and it was one of the better choices we made during this whole process.

Because I was organizing for a school, Northern Lights was very accommodating to our needs -- they took requests up until 24 hours before the event, didn't play anything inappropriate for a school function, and were priced well for the services. We've had other DJs in the past, but this was the first year that 100% of our students were happy with the music at Prom!

From exploring the many wonderful options on their website, to working with Lori to find the best option for our event, she made it interesting and easy. The contract was clear and I appreciated a "day of call" just to make sure we had all our questions answered. We had about 30 Cub scouts, aged 6-11 who all learned to twist balloons into animals and other shapes. Lori helped prep the adult helpers and easily managed to help each child just when they needed it. There were some pretty special smiles after learning a new skill. We had a lot of excited scouts and with so many other entertainment options available from A Touch of Magic Entertainment, we look forward to exploring more options for future scout events.

Imagine the day of your daughter's wedding, a day meticulously planned for a year, finally…read morearriving. She steps into her reception room, expecting to see her vision come to life, but instead, her eyes fill with tears of disappointment. The flowers, which were supposed to be deep purples and burgundy to create a moody accent, are instead a mix of peach, pink, and fuchsia. The wedding coordinator and the mother of the bride spent a significant portion of the photo session trying to rework the centerpieces to better match her vision, but there's only so much they can do. They end up pulling out flowers, discarding them, and replacing them with white roses purchased from a grocery store. As a result, the mother of the bride misses most of the photo session. After sending a complaint to the florist the following Monday, an apology is received, but the damage is already done, and there's no way to undo it.

Would not recommend ordering flowers for delivery from this business. I even indicated this in the additional information section. Tell me why the flowers delivered were not purple, they were pink, blue, and some shades of purple. I get the intent but don't advertise a bouquet called Purple Passion and not deliver a purple bouquet of flowers. Also the delivery person didn't verify she was around and just dropped the flowers off on the front porch, it's winter mind you, and so some of the flowers were wilted upon receipt. I expect far better quality from a local business, I even reached out to their customer service and they never responded. Terrible customer service, abysmal flowers, why waste your time. I'll stick with 1800 flowers next time, they at least respond to inquiries and rectify the situation.
