I come here even for the boxing conditioning classes every week and never had a problem with the trainers. When it comes to injuries and fixing my sciatica, an issue I have had over the past five years, I recommend seeing Hope. UFC Fit definitely takes pride in hiring passionate and considerate trainers. Hope has done nothing but ensure that my priorities are met and always takes the time to hear me out and make me feel a lot better! As for their customer service, I always go to Chris for an issue, one of the operations manager of the gym. I have had concerns this past year in regards to the cleanliness of the establishment and he has always made sure my needs are met. And if anyone is interested in getting a membership, Chris is the man to go to! Love this gym and would never imagine myself switching!

The floor looks like it has never been mopped before and there is also visible dirt and dust everywhere on the mats. The women's locker room was also disgusting; I opened a locker to find an unidentifiable chalk/ salt looking substance scattered all over the locker! Too dirty to even leave my things in the locker. Also, there is a very limited selection of free weights less than 15 lbs

I have tried every gym in the area (I used to do day passes at every gym within an hour radius while on school break so I have tried other golds gyms, 24hrs, pfits, retro, crunch, blink, powerhouse, you name it) and this is my favorite gym in north jersey. The new owner replaced a lot of the equipment including the floors and treadmills while leaving a lot of the old classic equipment which I love combined with new fantastic Atlantis machines. The gym also has a large turf area and basketball court which is a huge plus for athletic training. Also a sauna, but the best part of the gym is the community, a great mix of old classic body builders, young guys, and the staff is super friendly. My only complaints would be a new filtered water fountain would be great, there are multiple old ones that don't taste great and I've heard the town has given the owners a problem with replacing pipes. They put a gate in the front which was a big annoyance at first but it works well now and helps keep non members from sneaking in, and the parking lot has the largest potholes I've ever seen and they always come back despite them repatching them, it needs a full pave but I believe that is on the town and out of the gyms control. Also on some week nights one of the trainers runs an absolutely obnoxious workout class and blasts music on top of the gym music while taking up the entire turf area. She could easily use the empty studio room that they don't use at all. Still one of my favorite gyms out of hundreds I've been to considering a reasonable price!

All that being said, they have been renovating a lot of the gym (awesome)--but the renovations seem to be happening at a snail's pace (not awesome). The half-done renovations sitting for months start to look...not so good. Locker-room is nothing special. Honestly, if anything needed a renovation it would be that. For the membership price, the majority of front desk employees could be a little friendlier. A quick "Hi, enjoy your workout" as you walk-in, goes a long way. The maintenance guy grinds hard as hell, and greets almost every member! Take a page from his book.

I started with him at a different OTF studio in summer of 2018, currently have him as a personal trainer since May of 2021, and followed him to the Totowa studio where I go periodically in addition to the personal training. I'll start by saying that I've probably tried to write this review 20 times but never felt like I could find the words fit to describe how much this man has helped me. I still don't feel like I can do him justice here but gotta give it my best shot. He is hands down the most inspiring, energizing, optimistic and professional human (yes, not just fitness instructor but of any human overall) with whom I have ever engaged. He is INCREDIBLY good at what he does - both from his own hard work, dedication and discipline for his craft, and because he truly has a gift for elevating everyone around him. He's also brave and proud (hello pivoting from a previous career to follow his dreams in fitness and helping others), and made of integrity. I feel incredibly lucked to have happened upon Coach H by randomly signing up for my preferred time slots without regard to who the instructor was when I first started going to OTF. I was in the worst shape of my life, and sporadically doing lackluster workouts by myself at home was not getting me anywhere. When OTF opened in my city I decided to commit, but that was the type of decision I had made and failed at a million times before. Fast forward a few months and I noticed that I'm less likely to cancel a class if he's the instructor vs. anyone else. He works so hard for you, and you just end up constantly motivated to do the same. I know beyond a shadow of a doubt the variable that's lead to my success this time around, after a lifetime of failed attempts, is Coach H. Absolute best decision, best money I've ever spent. I don't care if you're an elite athlete or haven't worked out once ever - Coach H can meet you where you're at mentally and physically, and make you better than you are. They have admitted "their policies were terrible" but have "improved" but I'm currently going back and forth with someone over email who has yet to give me their name saying there is nothing they can do. Stonewalling me. "They can't do anything". YOU ARE A BUSINESS. You have the ability to work with customers and provide a refund. But you choose not to. I'm not going away. Going to corporate.
