We booked a party bus for my daughter's 18th birthday from 12pm-4pm today, but the customer service was terrible. We made a reservation with a deposit, but the owner Hugo, said the original chauffeur wasn't answering his phone because he crashed his other limo the night before. The owner found a new chauffeur, who arrived 40 minutes late. When it was time to leave, he asked for payment and tip, I was trying to contact the owner to discuss the new price. The owner didn't respond, so I tipped the chauffeur 15%. However, the chauffeur then told our daughter that the tip was an additional $40 or he wouldn't leave ( he never told me he asked my daughter, and tipped himself over 20%) They didn't provide any extra time to make up for the lost hours, and they charged us for the full 4 hours. Blake also rushed the kids when he was picking up other kids that they had 5 seconds to get back on the bus or he was leaving them, BLAKE COUNTED TO 5 seconds and shut the door as one of the kids ran in and door almost closed on him!!! BLAKE ALSO LEFT THE KIDS ON THE OTHER STREET FROM OUR HOME!!! ( I was in shock because I was waiting for them to arrive so I can take a video and pics of them coming out of party bus) I'm warning everyone about San Diego Limo Boss (Carlsbad, CA) and the chauffeur Blake Hernandez. Easy to book - WAS very responsive to messages before the limo service. Hugo quoted an hourly rate "discount" but totaled it up $210 more than that rate and charged my card. This was not a tip for the driver because he told me tip was not included in the price. He has since failed to respond to multiple messages asking for an explanation of the extra charge. We spoke of a price that worked within my budget he agreed to the price. I asked for a contract to secure them as a vendor, he ghosted me, he changed his logo colors throughout the weeks. Today, I called and I asked him over the phone what was happening with my quote and why he ended up ghosting me, he said gas prices went up and it wouldn't have worked for my budget. As I sat there for weeks waiting for him to follow up with me, he already made a decision about my budget and chose not to communicate back on his decision. The limo was dirty ugly and old from the beginning but i over looked it, but on the way to our venue the driver pulls over ON THE SIDE OF THE FREEWAY due to SMOKE filling the cabin n a loud noise. Horrible experience!! I booked a hummer limo for my son's birthday a month before the party date, paid a deposit, and got an email confirmation. The day before the party I hadn't heard from him and emailed to double check that he was coming. The day of the party I texted and called multiple times with no reply. Then 10 Minutes before he is supposed to arrive he calls (sounding like he just woke up and forgot about my party) and said the hummer limo has mechanical issues and there is no other limo that could fit our whole party. He offered a much smaller limo that would take at least an hour to arrive and it wouldn't fit everyone. He refunded my deposit but never really took responsibility that he had obviously just forgotten about our party. It left us scrambling and asking parents to help us drive to get kids to the party location and my son was so disappointed that they didn't get to ride in the limo. WARNING - UNPROFESSIONAL, UNRELIABLE, "COMPANY". I organized travel to and from a high school formal for more than 20 well in advance, paid a deposit, confirmed, reconfirmed and the party bus never arrived. I called incessantly, sometimes I got someone to answer sometimes not. The first response I got was "he should be there soon." ETA passes, I call and call and call. Finally I get someone to answer and I get "I don't know. The driver is not answering." More time passes. I receive a text with the driver's information, I call and call. No answer. It was so late the kids were then squished into cars and driven by the parents who were there to take pictures. As we are loading the kids into multiple cars, I finally hear from the driver who was either sleep, drunk, high or all of the above. He told me he would be there at 6:30, an hour later than scheduled and at the time the door closes at the formal and kids are no longer allowed to enter. The venue is 40 minutes away. What a cluster!!! I finally get a hold of the company and I get "I don't know I guess I'll have to give you your deposit back." It's Saturday evening, Super Bowl weekend, all drivers, limos, etc or booked or in LA. It was so embarrassing for me personally and I'm sure for my daughter as well since she was the host of the pre-formal gathering. It was stressful, chaotic, and an evening all will remember but for all the wrong reasons. I personally paid for multiple SUVs to pick the kids up from the formal so I was out a crap load of money because I of course refunded all of the parents their money who sent it with the confidence that I would organize safe, reliable transportation for their kids. Thanks to Clint Welch, the owner/operator of FAT CAT Limo who heard the desperation and exhaustion in my voice when I called him that night to see if he could help. Although he was already at the formal with his party, he called back and told me he would help find rides back for the kids and he did. LIMO BOSS RUINED MY WEDDING The owner Hugo recently called me begging to take down my previous review. Long story short, I had been in touch with Hugo through email and texting as well as two phone calls. For my wedding I needed a shuttle service to pick up my groomsmen at a house in south oceanside, drop then off at a house on the beach in south oceanside, and pick up and drop off guests to and from a park and ride ALSO in south oceanside to the ceremony house. Everything had been confirmed via email and phone calls just days before. The shuttle never showed up. I called Hugo in my wedding dress and all wondering why my groom was not here! He just texted me the drivers number. I called the driver who barely spoke English and he was lost in Encinitas!!!! Two full cities over. My groomsmen had to get in their cars after drinking to be the shuttle and bring our guests which include our grandparents and other family that flew in from across the country to be here. I went out if my way and was willing to spend the money to make my wedding a great memorable experience for my guests. By the way it was 90 degrees this day on Labor Day weekend. My wedding now was 25 minutes late!!!! The reason I had the shuttle in the first place is so my guests wouldn't be late due to parking issues. My photos were then rushed and when the shuttle finally arrived, my 20 person shuttle turned into a massive charter bus! We completely missed cocktail hour. For my OWN wedding. The day went PERFECT besides the sequence of events caused by this company. I came home from my honeymoon and there were no missed emails or calls from Hugo which is very unprofessional. I had to reach out to him to tell him what happened and his response was "well as far as I know you haven't been charged for the balance" he NEVER once apologized. NEVER! All he could say was that it wasn't his fault it was another company that he works with and now it's coming out of his pocket and he'll give me my $100 deposit back. To me the money isn't the issue. It's the fact that he didn't give a S*** about my experience and what happened and the experience my family and friends had. This is one day I'll never get back that I spent a year planning. All he cares about is him. How the other guy ruined it and his reputation. It's sickening that this is okay to him to mess with people's lives with no repercussion. Be a real business man and do something to try to make things right when you fail to give information and when someone hires Limo Boss then do not secretly have a different company with 3 star yelp reviews do the job you agreed to do! I feel like an ass after hiring this pathetic, no morale, dishonest company. I will make my narrative as short as possible. I hired Hugo to take several families on a party bus from 6pm to 8pm, it was critical we were back at 8pm as I had hired a santa and his time slot was 8pm to 845pm. 615pm I call Hugo as no bus showed up, phone went to voicemail. At 635 bus driver finally called said hes running late, got there at 645pm. I let bus driver know, we need to be back by 8pm, he said that was ok, and instead of the original $480, anything over $120 would be reasonable for their mistake, so we hopped on. Well he putted along, going so slow, we only did one stop as compared to two, which I was fine since we needed to be home, but somehow, we STILL got home at about 930pm!!! He took the longest route possible back to our house, we all have smart phones with GPS, it was not the quickest. Then we get back, I still tip the driver and all together pay 220 for the ride, as I felt 100 over their 120 was fair. Blake goes on to say since the ride took so long he demands another $300 or he will call the cops. I have 11 kids waiting to go see Santa, who now I am having to pay additional to keep waiting, and I have this low life scum telling me he is going to cause a scene. I paid him and told him to get the hell out of my neighborhood. Unfortunately in heat of moment I paid cash, that was stupid, however the deposit was card which I was able to dispute and at least recover that portion. Hugo and Blake are scum bags, and have very little ethics, and no morales. Don't be an idiot and hire them like I did, they have several business names and several review sights where they have been slaughtered with reviews then they change their name again to hide it.
