This was a fine place to stay as a stop over for one night, but not much more than that. It's right next to the highway and there isn't much tree coverage, so it's not the most woodsy feel for a campground. The girl working the from desk was incredibly when we checked in, which made the place feel very warm and welcoming. The place was pretty full but everyone was quiet and respectful. There are showers available and the flowers, cotton swabs, and cotton pads on the sink counters are nice homey touches. The toilet closest to the door in the women's bathroom doesn't seem to be very strongly attached to the wall or floor though, so beware that it may wobble. The soap and toilet paper in the bathroom could have been better stocked. One dispenser was entirely out of soap by the time the office closed and the other was nearly empty. Toilet paper was also empty in at least one stall upon the closing of the office in the evening, leaving only two stalls available for all guests that night. I would advise restocking the bathroom before close each night! read more

Ok, so context is coming from a family that's been tent camping for days! We were PUMPED to get out of the cold and on to some beds! The place is kept very clean and ...it's warm! Lol We stayed in a cabin and slept like a baby. My biggest issue anywhere is: is it clean, and it was. The mens bathroom looks outdated, but I'm not a stickler for looks. The floor was very well maintained and it smells fresh. I was totally comfortable walking around barefoot after a shower. The cabin was also very clean. As far as I am concerned this place is a complete dump. The Wi-Fi would not even show up on any devices we had because the signal was either terrible on non existent. Spaces are tiny. The condition of the facility is poor. We have been traveling for nearly a month and this is by far the worst place we have stayed. The one good thing we found was the water pressure was higher than most. Actually high enough that a regulator is very highly recommended. read more

This is an excellent place to stay- friendly, clean, full hookups including sewer and cable for tv, WiFi. Showers, 50 and 30 amp, all the amenities. Will always look for this place to stay when coming through. Front desk people so very nice!!! read more

I'm only giving the KOA location 3 stars because they had space going and coming back on our trip. The location was a bit noisy. The landscaping was not dog friendly. The fenced in area was filled with weeds that give you splinters to pull out. Just didn't feel clean. Needs some updating and refreshing. read more

If they mowed, widened these miserably tiny and muddy camp spots, repaired and cleaned the laundry, followed through with the pancake breakfast thing (not available on my night's stay), & kept the office/store open, this would be an alright place. Just stayed for one night in a pull-thru site. Had reservations. Staff was friendly with a sense of humor and offered Pizza and wings with door side delivery. (Pepperoni pizza was very good) Sites were gravel rather than concrete pad but they were level which is very important to us. Site sizes were on the small side but were adequate for our short stay. Wifi worked well and my wife said that the showers and bathhouse was private and very clean thus the 5 star rating. Our experience at this KOA was fine. We just stayed one night as we were traveling through on hwy 70. Called ahead around 5:00 on a Saturday night to reserve a spot. When we arrived the young man that checked us in was very efficient, quick and professional, explaining everything perfectly, very impressed. This campground has leveled sites on gravel, some small plots of dry grass (between sites) in need of mowing, but this park met our needs for the night. We did several loads if wash - machines worked great. We paid $42 with a KOA membership and frankly I was happy - the night before we had a overflow site in Kansas with no electric and it was a hot night without air. If you are in need of a place to call home for the night, this is perfectly fine. First, let's start with the 1, maybe 2 shade trees. Looks like they tore out trees and have replanted some, but they are saplings at this point. They pack you in like sardines, and my son said the means restroom "looked like a set from a horror movie". Next, let's start with liabilities this RV Park has, I found 2. The first one is at the pool (which despite the advertisement as "heated" it is not). Looks as if there use to be a disabled lift they took out, but left these for huge bolts in the ground, that blend perfectly with the cement. Hurts to high heaven. The pool was so cold, even on an extremely hot day, that my kids lips went blue, and my oldest didn't last 30 minutes. Second is the ladies restroom. There's a ramp out but at the end, there's a 3-5" edge with zero warning. I spoke with one other ladies in the pool who also said she fell coming out, so it's not just me. Last, the lady in the front office was incredibly rude and hostile to me when I tried to point this out to her. I wanted to make sure they would do something about it so that someone doesn't get seriously injured at this park, but her words exactly were "It's never been a problem before" and "I will take that into consideration" all while rolling her eyes and basically dismissing me. read more

We've been traveling in our RV this summer and some campgrounds are not very nice. But this KOA in Limon Colorado is beautiful! The sites are wonderful! Nice and clean restroom/showers! Laundry room is not only clean but air conditioned! They have a fenced in playground for the kids and 2 dog runs! Beautiful park, will come again! read more

This place was so accommodating and super sweet! The staff is so nice. We had their two largest cabins (one with two bunks and one with one bunk) and a pull through camper spot. They were able to put us all right next to one another and our family of five adults and nine kids had so much space. There is a really nice upgraded playground right near the cabins for the kids and we loved that it was fenced in and safe! The pool was awesome and they had a basketball hoop that our kids all enjoyed. Lots of shade and picnic spaces for everyone and there were tons of bunny rabbits around the cabins too. The cabins were clean and we were really impressed with how cozy and family friendly things were. We highly recommend this place, especially if you have kids! We will definitely be coming back again. read more

We stayed here on the night of July 3, 2017, it turned out to be a very nice quiet well-equipped KOA. The showers in the bathrooms were very clean and it's one of the few showers that I have seen where there was not leakage into the dressing area. We would stay here again. read more

If I could give 10 stars, I totally would! We were pulling a travel trailer from Spokane, WA to Houston, TX, and the trailer blew a wheel bearing about 20 miles outside of Limon. These folks stayed late to wait for us. They put us up in one of their cabins while we waited for the trailer to be towed. They gave us a spot to park the disabled trailer for the night for free! The place was clean, safe and convenient. They were so very caring and helpful when we needed it most. I can't say how thankful I am for these GOOD PEOPLE!! read more

Do you want a tiny cabin with a 12" TV? Do you want rude people and strange stares aimed your way? Do you want BED BUGS!? Then this is the place for you! KOA was a disgusting camp-sight that I will hopefully never have to return to as long as I live. My friends and I wanted to take our friend from Scotland to see a concert at the Red rock amphitheater, that part was great. The living situation was not. This place is an absolute shit hole, for the money you pay. Even with my KOA membership, this place was over $40 a night. Granted I see were they are making some improvements. However to pay that much money for nothing but mud is ridiculous. Stayed in a lot of KOA's over the years and this one ranks at the very very very bottom. Stayed in what was touted as a large pull through. However because of all the mud and Bree in front of me I had to back out. Very short roadways for pulling out. There's no excuse for this place to even be a KOA. read more

Unless you want bedbugs and talked down to by an arrogant, rude and condescending owner avoid this place at all costs. My husband woke up at 3am covered in welts. We looked around and saw bedbugs. I called the after hours number and spoke with the manager. We asked to talk to the owner and she refused to let us. We started washing all our clothes and taking everything out of our bags. We are on a 2 week vacation and I always overpack. Finally after asking several times she called the owner and he showed up. Never in my life have I been spoken to by an owner of a business the way this man spoke to us. He called us scammers. Told me I was rediculous. Was more upset that we woke up his manager at 3am then anything. Said she would be useless to him the rest of the day. Who says that?? Asked if we really thought He was gonna get out of bed at 3am to deal with us. Totally unprofessional and rude. I wouldn't recommend this place to my worst enemy. read more

I have a love hate with this place. We had a great time easy parking the pool was clean the general store wasn't overpriced but we witnessed a family have the cops called on them and get escorted out at no fault of their own. While we were at the pool the lady who lives here and runs the place comes up to a man and yells at him "I thought you said there was only 2 people in the cabin you rented, looks like you have kids." The man responded "you asked me how many adults and I said 2." Mind you hid kids were about ages 2 and 4 so it wouldnt have mattered anyway... she told him that he needed to pack his things and leave because he tried to cheat her campground out of $$... his kids were crying and she was yelling nonsense at the dad... he told her that he was not leaving and she said that she called the police. The police came and spoke to her in private... they walked out and told the man they had to escort him off the campground and did so in front of his kids. None of this was necessary... I was inside the office when they checked in and he even asked the lady where they could rent childrens movies or if there was a red box around... As the man was being escorted off the campground the wife handled their kids and she went into the cabin to pack up their things and left... The lady who managed this place yelled at everyone "I'm not here for customer service I'm here to run this place"... it was a complete turn off for me to witness this as well as have my kids witness this... one of my children having Autism and it really affected him to see a man being escorted out by the police. We tried to pack up at the pool and leave but as many know having a child w autism you can not just "leave" especially when there is a timer on that says there is 45 more minutes at the pool... so although it was clean and we stayed out of their hair we had a negative experience watching another family's experience which turned our experience into a bad one. My son with autism had nightmares, cried, had anxiety attacks, and needed his inhaler several times after watching the police arrive and leave with the guy while the owner lady was yelling at everyone... not an environment I want my kids to be in ever again... read more

Meh, very meh. Tiny pool, loud location and the dog walk they show on the map is literally non existent. It's just two inches on the side of the road. Spots are small and there's no grass or yard to speak of. Staff seemed really nice though. All in all I wouldn't have normally bothered to leave a review as it's not that bad but for $52 a night!! Entered this Campground and was concerned due to the other reviews. However I've learned that people don't really write a review unless they had issues. So for every bad review one needs to add four good reviews. We were treated with respect. The site was wide with all utilities close for hook up. It is a non paved site. Would not want to stay if raining. The big question??? Yes we would stop here again. We have been in 30camp grounds over the past six weeks. No stress felt in this Koa. read more

I drove over 45 minutes to this KOA to make sure that it would work for an upcoming family trip with an older family member and a preschooler to stay in one of their Kamping Kabins (the last KOA I stayed in didn't have a women's bathroom for five hours per day). Upon entering the office, the female owner asked me why I was there. I was only able to answer that "I was browsing" before she interrupted me and very rudely informed me to try a gas station. She never gave me a change to explain that I was looking to book a Kabin for several nights and that I am a KOA member. The location has no trees to block the wind and is right off of the highway. The RV sites were small. There are lots of hotels and motels in town that are only slightly more expensive that I will be staying at instead. read more

This is a great little camp ground. We stopped in on our way through to Taylor Park and stayed in one of the cabins. The service was friendly and knowledgeable of the aria. They will even deliver Hunts Brothers Pizza to your camp spot. The only thing I would say bad about the place was the mattress in the cabin was little more than a mat. Not a big deal I just forgot to bring something better to sleep on. read more

The owners are very unfriendly and watch you like a hawk. The sites are overpriced. The facilities are bleak and barebones. But the most ridiculous thing is the owner's wife. After late arrival, their night box was without pens, so we decided to pay in the morning. In the morning I walked up to pay but the office was still locked, so we took down the tents. As we drove up toward office to pay in the morning, the owner's wife came running up banging on our car like some crazy lady. She apparently thought we were going to drive off. I'm embarrassed for them. Overall, do yourself a favor and avoid this place. read more

Oh I wish that I had read these reviews before I pulled in last night but alas when you're traveling sometimes you just take the first campsite you can find. it was 4 a.m. when I pulled in and thought I would just register in the morning like I've done it so many other ko A's across the country.... But alas the owner knocked on my window at 6 a.m. on a Sunday morning mind you demanding to be paid saying something about it wasn't her fault that I didn't register last night.... And yes well she's right I should have registered it didn't seem like she needed to wake me up at 6 a.m. to tell me that. I can't write anything else about the KOA away because I left as soon as I could get my receipt at 8 a.m. in any case I guess I'll just try to register doing the night registration whereas I thought I was being considerate and just getting to the campsite as quick as possible so as not to wake people up read more

This KOA is fairly nice overall. When we arrived my daughter saw a bunch of rabbits running around the area, which she loved. The showers and bathroom were spacious and clean. Our only issue was that the campsite we got was way in the back and the only one without a dirt tent plot. Also having only one bathroom available at the very front was a bit of a problem since campers in the back of the campground have to go a distance to get to the bathroom. We stay at this KOA a few times a year just for a get away since it is close to home. I don't know who was running the place when some of these other reviewers stopped by, but we have never had the problems they seemed to. In fact, when we were there in April of this year, the owners husband was very sick, allergies and pneumonia, to the point the ambulance was called for him. She kept plugging away with an attitude that would have been hard for most people under the circumstances to handle. A lot of improvements have been made in the past year, showers redone, nicer tent sites and they were mowing while we were there. Yes when it rains, it gets a little muddy, but we as Coloradans will take it since it is very dry most of the time. It usually doesn't take long for it to dry off once the sun comes out.
