This was a fine place to stay as a stop over for one night, but not much more than that. The girl working the from desk was incredibly when we checked in, which made the place feel very warm and welcoming. The place was pretty full but everyone was quiet and respectful. There are showers available and the flowers, cotton swabs, and cotton pads on the sink counters are nice homey touches. The toilet closest to the door in the women's bathroom doesn't seem to be very strongly attached to the wall or floor though, so beware that it may wobble. The soap and toilet paper in the bathroom could have been better stocked. One dispenser was entirely out of soap by the time the office closed and the other was nearly empty. Toilet paper was also empty in at least one stall upon the closing of the office in the evening, leaving only two stalls available for all guests that night. I would advise restocking the bathroom before close each night!

Unfortunately strasburg will be one I tell people to avoid. Also it's about 35-40 mins outside of Denver so going into the city is a bit of a mission.

Bathrooms super clean and well appointed and the room was clean with ac and heater. Beautiful area in a small town with exceptional restaurants and a cafe and sites to hike around crown and explore. The staff her at Strasburg KOA were super friendly and helpful. Their office had a small pizza and gelato cafe as well as necessary items you might need for purchase. Plan on returning here for a few days soon.

What a beautiful place. Well maintained paths. Kind walkers, runners and cyclists on the trail. And PLENTY to see. Restrooms are conveniently located and also well maintained throughout the entire park. The views are GORGEOUS!!! 10/10: Wonderful time all around.

Or...... you could park in one of the residential areas (for free) and take the trails into the park and reservoir...... which is what we did. I love the trails here. It takes you thru different terrains. You have the dirt areas with all the prairie dogs. Never seen prairie dogs before. They were so cute and fluffy. We must've seen hundreds along our walks. Very communal but attentive creatures. Then you get to the areas with the high grass and trees. Then you get to the reservoir area with the gravel type sand around it. Lots of wildlife throughout the park. Saw birds of all sorts around the reservoir. Prarie dogs everywhere else. Signs for predators but fortunately didnt see any. The fact that its in the middle of town. You walk a few feet into the park and all that human activity and hustle and bustle just melts away. You see the freeways and cars in the distance but you cant help but to feel one with nature. Lots of parking inside the state park. Fortunately on that say there wasen't too many people at the park. We'll maintained trails. Lots of places to BBQ. In my short time there though we didnt see any bathroom facilities. The water in the reservoir was nice and cold. The "hike" itself is very easy. Lots of opportunities to go bike riding or running as well. Beautiful place to unplug from society, but close enough to go and grab something to eat or go back to your hotel. So it was a very nice visit!

The facilities were so clean and well maintained. Since we had these spots all day, we had a hike in the morning for people attending the wedding as well as the actual wedding in the evening. Most of our guests explored the facilities and hiked most of the morning. I know many of them will return soon because it was great. The amphitheater had electrical connection on the center circle. We didn't need it because the acoustics of the amphitheater were amazing. We had a harpist and the music carried beautifully. Their voices were clearly heard throughout the amphitheater. Our rainy day plan was the pavillion, which is lovely and amazingly well planned. This is a gorgeous place for a wedding. I can't believe I didn't mention the staff. They were so communicative and helpful. They were such a joy.

We moved to the Springs from Denver a few months ago and we love how quiet this park is compared to other trails near Denver. This park is also very clean! As someone who doesn't like using public restrooms I thought these bathrooms were so clean. We enjoy that the park has plenty of parking, one of the parking lots even has a playground, and a pump for your bike tires. There's also picnic tables which we really enjoy using after our hike. We haven't camped here or mountain biked but that is an option too. Some hikes are easy enough for you to bring your kids, and others offer more of an incline. In the summer you see birds, butterflies, and lizards. This place is great, we really enjoy it!
