TEN STARS! I recently visited Imperial Dermatology and am so thankful I found Dr. Hou! I waited too…read morelong to address a skin concern on top of my ear, and to my surprise, I was diagnosed with Basal cell carcinoma... WTF!!!! The front office staff, Marci and Tiffany, were welcoming and transparent about pricing through my insurance. Emily, Lena, and Davina (Medical Staff) provided exceptional support, explaining everything in detail and easing my worries. I'm only 37 and I never thought I would have skin cancer, but they calmed me down. Dr. Hou and her team performed MOHS surgery right in the office just 10 days after my first visit, taking the minimum amount of skin as possible to successfully remove the cancer. They also took care of all the necessary forms and even provided letters to my employer, making the process seamless. When it comes to scary skin stuff, this is the only place I trust! I just can't see how someone can leave a bad review! I received a ton of skin care and sun care swag, and by my second appointment the whole team knew me by name and came in to check on me. BTW they call and confirm your appointment date and time at least twice leading up to any appointment so I don't see how anyone could miss/forget their appointment. I heard about microdermabrasion through Dr Baugh and finally made the decision to start getting them. I had my second one done by Rosie. She is so sweet and informative when it comes to my questions about micro. Being that I've only got two so far I'm already seeing my skin looking so much better than it did. I definitely recommend Rosie if you want this done. She's awesome!

When my alopecia, eczema, and acne were under control, I would go there annually to get a refill of my medications and the face wash they sell. I have since moved to Chicago, but would go annually when I visit my parents in the area so I can get the face wash and my maintenance prescriptions. So I LOVED this place and would always recommend people to come here. The past two years have been weird. The staff has become rude. My last visit sometime in December 2025, I made clear that I was just visiting from Chicago, but they marked me for a check up a month after. They refused to refill my medications until I see the doctor again. They also said that the face wash can only be refilled within 6 months.... Wasn't notified of that before... and I would do annual visits in the past. Anyways, now that I'm back in California with an even better insurance, I'll be taking my business elsewhere. No longer recommending this place to people. I found one nearby that people in Reddit recommended and has 4.9 stars. Wanted to stay at this practice for the compounded sulfacetemide face wash, but the new rules and shitty staff are a turn off. The doctor was very thorough, polite and listened to me. She ended up removing a few things and sent for biopsy. The receptionist was friendly and knowledgeable. When I called they did tell me the original doctor both of my friends recommended is not longer there. He's since retired. So this may explain my next part. On the phone u was quoted 120/140. For the visit and if I choose to have a service the upfront appt fee would be applied to my overall services. When I arrived it was a misunderstanding. Apparently the office visit for my service (Skin tag Removal) was separate. The credit applies to Botox and other such injections. ‍. My service including my consultation was about 300. They said they would bill my insurance for the office visit and I would pay 185. Out of pocket. Post service and the removal of the skin tags I did not receive a followup call to see how I was doing. No instructions, I just looked everything up on the web. Today 3 weeks post- I received a bill from their back office in the amount of 748. With a remaining balance of 31.46 for me to pay. This is a complete misrepresentation of cost I was never told the service we be in the area of. 700.. when I called the office they just referred me back to the billing service. This is what makes the cost of insurance so expensive. Over billing!!! No i wouldn't recommend this business.

He spends majority of the time with you on his phone (most likely charting) but still, I would like my acne to be looked at before given prescriptions. What he had been prescribing had not been working, and at my last appointment, I came in requesting to be put on a popular acne medication for women. He began a rant how he doesn't prescribe that and how I will struggle with infertility due to my age and that the medication would make it worse. While this may be true, the bedside manner in which this was told to me was harsh and too blunt. He prescribed me instead a medication that was $200, which is too much for me to pay for a medication that may or may not work. He had also told me at one of my recent appointments that I had perioral dermatitis. After now seeing a new dermatologist, everything he had told me was not true (false information about the medication, my diagnosis). If possible; avoid coming here. My concerns were not heard and my skin was barely even glanced at.

Bloom Medical's equipment they have invested in consists of technology I have never seen. I can conclude they are results oriented, not profit motivated. I have read a couple Yelpers complaining about wait time. Though their process is precise and streamlined, it is not purely transactional. If it were, I would buy a Groupon.
