The food is always fresh, the food is always delicious and having been a frequent flyer here for many years, I can also say that everything good about Hunan is consistent. In other words, you can eat here every six months and you'll still get the same fresh, delicious food as well as being able to count on good service every time! My faves are the Crab Rangoon and the General Gau's chicken, the crab 's filling is unique and so tasty and the chicken is crisp and mouth watering!

I've been here twice and on my last visit the lady said it was their first time making pad thai and…read morepineapple fried rice. It's cool being the first to try something. I've never had that happen at a restaurant before. I got spring roll, boneless ribs, sweet and sour chicken, shrimp pad thai, and pineapple fried rice. The spring roll wasn't good. It was super doughy with barely any filling and tasted weird. The boneless ribs were ok. They had a decent flavor but weren't charred at all. First time having none charred boneless ribs. Next was the sweet and sour chicken. This had a good tasting sauce but the chicken batter was soggy. Sweet and sour chicken for takeout should have the sauce on the side so this doesn't happen. The shrimp pad thai wasn't bad. The shrimp and noodles were cooked nicely but the sauce had a really weird overly sweetness. Last dish was pineapple fried rice with extra cashews. It was good, had a good flavor but had very little pineapple and definitely didn't have extra cashews. They gave little sides of duck sauce but I didn't like it. It tasted like fruit syrup with a splash of vinegar. Overall this place isn't bad. Some dishes are hit or miss. I'd get the pineapple fried rice again. If the pad thai wasn't so sweet I'd get that again for sure.

I grew up in Upton. I used to spend my free lunch time at Jade Garden while in high school with my…read morefriends. I remember helping the couple who owns it's son with his homework when he was like 8. Today we had some free time over the holiday break and decided to take a little road trip back to Upton. Our first stop was Jade Garden. Before we got off 495 we called our order in and I honestly got teared up hearing the familiar voice answer the phone. We placed our order for way too much sesame chicken ( the best around ) and swung by a few local spots before getting our order. I haven't been to Upton in 7 years and I was happy to see the most that had changed are a bunch of sidewalks and a lot of the houses getting new siding. We swung but Nipmuc and I pointed out the few landmarks. We went down Glen Ave and he was delighted by the bonkers up and down zig zag it is. We tried to go to Country Sooper but it was closed. We went by Memorial which looks totally different and past the Grange where I told him about the blocks long line for the haunted house. I'm getting off track. Upton was my home for so long. I've been away for 15 year and 7 years or so fully since my parents moved. It was wonderful to come back. Jade Garden is exactly the same. I mean that in the best way possible. Same recipes. Same booths. Same carpet. Same women answering the phone. Go to Jade Garden. The food is great. The portions are bonkers and the family and local love is felt. Go here.

One thing that makes this place stand out is its very bright neon sign that makes you want to try this spot. The first thing that this place has to offer is the beautiful interior of Kawaii. The ambience contains warm soft lights, with the cushions being very comfortable and relaxing whether coming in a rush or not, this cozy place will warm you up and welcome you straight in. The staff are super polite and always there to lend a helping hand. Another great thing about this delightful Asian food is their awesome variety of foods that they have to offer. My personal favourite is the "Honey Bee Roll", this is their best sushi dish and one of the best sushi dishes I've ever had! If you have some allergies then they have gluten free opticians that also taste equally as good. Even though a handful of the food is a little bit expensive, their food makes up for it as it tastes like heaven in your mouth. My least favorite part about this place though is the takeout service. For the majority of this service they have very nice takeout bags and a lot of people do take out. It's also very convenient for fast delivery to your house or some other place you need it to be delivered. But the downside is that the food from takeout does not taste good. I would just go in person instead. Overall, Kawaii is among my top 10 favorite restaurants to go to. I recommend this place to anyone who really likes different Asian foods. I would definitely check this place out if you ever happen to pass by it!

Stopped in for lunch around 2pm. Decor is dark lighting…read morevibes and looks more like a nighttime lounge. Needs a brighter cheerful vibe.... But I came for the food . The country music playing created a genre of a country cowboy eating roadkill over a camp fire vs.dining on fresh Chinese food. If you want a soothing Gregorian chant music by a Buddhist monk as you dine, then this isn't the place. I ordered a Delight of three lunch special as sounded a bit erotic. I did chose the pork rice upgrade. It came with hot and sour soup. I ordered an app of teriyaki and app of chicken wings. The delight of three would have been more delightful if a bigger portion was served but nevertheless... it was excellent freshness, prepared well with the 3 delights of shrimp, chicken, beef , vegetables. It was freshly prepared and not a reheated dish. The rice was very good, fresh and not a big pile of rice but just the right quantity for me. The teriyaki was excellent, tender and I would have preferred a bit more ginger flavor or a char to the edges or surface... but nonetheless I was fine as each stick cut like butter and the chew was easy on my jaw bone. The hot and sour soup was a bit cold and was plenty of ingredients with a kick. But I prefer on cooler side vs boiling hot to burn my tongue. I value my tongue to enjoy the tastes of the delight of three. The star of my dining was the chicken wings. These wings were freshly fried and not a reheat of previously cooked wings. The golden crisp skin makes these among some of the best wings . I would have preferred the wings cut into drums and flats as I have to eat that way anyway . I would have like a bit more marinate to the wings that would put these on an even higher level. Again, the crisp skin makes these great wings. I think the food quality was excellent, and reasonable pricing . I will return and see that the chicken wings possess the golden crisp skin attributes that I can eat it them everyday.
