Go ahead, call five contractors. How many answer their phone? How many even respond? You probably already know how many. 1? 2, maybe? This project was a little annoying because I needed it done immediately. Also, it involved working in conjunction with a separate contractor that was working in the home. I was worried that it'd be hard to find a contractor to complete in time. I felt bad having such an immediate need but I wanted to call Billy first. Billy answered, with tools in his hands, mid job. I explained what I needed. He asked the right questions. We setup a time to meet and like clockwork, he showed up on time. Always friendly. Always informative. Bam! Work scheduled. I left Billy the lockbox code and he estimated his finishing time. I called him around that time to coordinate getting him paid. And, of course, the work was already completed. Not only was the work completed sooner than expected which allowed the entire project to progress faster than expected, but it was done perfectly. Which is a word I rarely use. But from the precision of the work, the cleanliness of the work, coordination with other contractors, quality of products he used...and yes, the value of everything involved...perfect! I'm not sure if I'll ever need contracting services in the Yuba/Sutter area again. But if I do, I'm only making one call. The same call you should make. I can't recommend Billy, his crew and his company enough. Quality work at a great value, performed efficiently and precisely and communicated well. Billywood for the win!!

We were in desperate need of a new "apron" at the bottom of our 400' driveway as the asphalt was crumbling and just kept getting worse. Freschi came in and fixed the several patches on the concrete part of our driveway (using rebar!) and put in a beautiful asphalt "apron". We have had so many compliments from neighbors "now your place really does look like an estate", etc.! Freschi's team is professional, honest and has integrity and they were wonderful in communicating the various steps to expect throughout the whole process (from Shirley in the office to the team on site). We chose them because previously, we had them put in a beautiful rock retaining wall and repair some other sections of our concrete driveway that were in need of repair. I asked him to refer me to a good roofing company and he told me "call MEC"! Colin was very thorough, took his time, and gave me a detailed verbal report on his findings. He agreed that my top quality roof was in good shape overall after 17 years of sun and rain on my ranch. My roof vents are all screened with the 1/8 inch required screens, but I will have MEC's recommended installer screen my eaves as well for additional fire hardening.. I was pleasantly surprised that there was no charge for Colin's work and I will only call MEC for my future roofing needs.

He made suggestions but also really listened and addressed any questions thoughtfully and thoroughly. Midway through the drainage system installation, he pointed out a place where I had some dry rot that should be repaired before they finished the work. Alex was flexible and waited to hear back from me that my repairs were done before coming back to complete his work. I'm so grateful for that, and also that we caught the issue before more damage had been done! The retaining wall and grading look great as do the rock work, drainage system and new concrete steps. All was completed in just 1-1/2 days, and for a very fair price.
