Absolutely love this place. The best plants at great prices and lots of rarer types of specimens. Knowledgeable, friendly and helpful staff. Parking a bit small, but usually able to park or right by the entrance on the street which is just as close. Also, this is a local business that's been around for decades and decades. Buy Local!

Lincoln Avenue Nursery is a luscious home for so many different kinds of plants! Lincoln Avenue's friendly staff are all gardeners themselves, and are knowledgeable resources about the plants they sell, their care and growth, how and where to plant them, and which plants grow well with each other. They do well at stocking only plants that are in season, and can advise on how to care for early and late-season planting. The staff can recommend nuanced options for clean, food-safe, organic pest control and balanced soil care/nutrient options. And the plants!! There are well-labeled and stocked sections for California native plants, perennial plants to attract pollinators, vegetables/herbs, fruit trees, various florals, and shaded zones for indoor plants. There are also a terrific selection of garden tools, seeds, pots/containers, and a two rooms of garden decor. Follow Lincoln Avenue Nursery on Instagram @lincolnavenursery to learn about their sales and free workshops about in-season plants, gardening tips at different planting stages, and more! The classes are a great place to meet other local gardeners. As of this review, if you attend a free gardening class/workshop, you'll get 10% off same-day plant purchases.

I love how this nursery has such unique finds. They have a small waterfall area surrounded by plants! Check out their large succulent area. Lots of succulents that you normally wouldn't see at other nurseries. I found a variegated bear paw here. They are complying with covid regulations by having all staff and customers wear masks, social distancing and cashless transactions.

We found them a few days ago and we have been back twice already to take advantage of ongoing sale . The sale ended Oct. 5 It looks like this is a family owned nursery. I like that. It's good to support small businesses. (as long as they value your business.) We have a small backyard project and we had questions about which plant can go here and there. The staff are helpful and knowledgeable. We also purchased some planters. They do deliveries for a minimal cost.

Drove by this nursery and decided to check it out! Since covid, I've really been into plants and thought this place was super cute. It's located within the neighborhood and I was surprised at how big it was. There's many selections from indoor plants, outdoor trees, and beautiful wreaths. I came in the morning so there weren't many people there but all the workers were wearing masks. Definitely going to plan another trip out here!

Lovely place located in a residential neighborhood. It's much bigger than I expected with a large variety of plants. Everything I saw was healthy, well organized and wheelchair accessible (which I don't see too often for a nursery). Unless it was in another building and I missed it, I didn't see too many indoor plants, which is what I was looking for...but still a great place to wander around. They also had lots of pots and some garden supplies. I saw lots of employees tending to the plants and grounds. A little pricier than some places but you know you're getting some healthy, well cared for plants.

Does Lincoln nursery have mature trees for hedges?

Yes They are also really good at ordering things if you want them and they do not have it

Do they carry fiddle leaf? If so what are the prices? Thank you!

They do! They have a covered (filtered light) outdoor area on the north side of the property. I've seen large and medium ones, very pretty. I don't remember exact prices but they are on the expensive side $100 or more? I got mine at Home Depot for… Read more

Prices were very competitive, when I was there today, a lot of the pots were on sale too. I was actually just there to get some mulch. My favorite part was finding native plants here. And I managed to snag the last white sage, and they still had plenty of narrowleaf milkweed for anyone else also looking to help save some monarch butterflies. I also love that this nursery has been around for 35 years and the owner is still super active, chatting with customers and carrying my mulch bag for me. I was like should I be carrying it myself?

Two Latino staff members were very kind and helpful, though they did not speak much English. The place feels more like Descanso Gardens than the Huntington Library. It has a more natural, relaxed atmosphere, with a less formal and more organic layout. The plants feel closer to their natural state, which gives the whole nursery a very pleasant and genuine charm. What really stands out is the price. It already looks cheaper than Armstrong, and possibly even negotiable, but the quality does not feel worse at all. The plants look healthy, beautiful, and well cared for, so it feels like a better-value choice rather than a lower-quality one. They have mostly green plants, with only a small selection of flowering plants, but everything looks great. For plants, especially shrubs, many varieties come in different sizes at different price points, so you can choose based on your needs and budget.

Audel suggested a liner that prevents weeds from proliferating as well. It turns out Hubby has a roll in the back of our truck. Bought fertilizer that he recommended & lantana as a draw for pollinators. I googled it & it states I plant it alongside my basil, tomato & marigolds. Parking is dedicated & free. We hired them for a full backyard Reno with full wall of ficus trees, full DG backyard with gravel edges, and a wood fence. Everything was going smoothly with scheduling and communication. When the actual work got started, I noticed the DG was not high-quality. It contained a lot of large rocks. Also, they were not digging out enough dirt before laying the DG. I had to bring that up to the foreman and they did dig up some more dirt before laying the DG. When the work was done, a foreman did a quick walk-through with me and I thought everything looked good. We were told not to walk on the wet DG for a day or two. So two days later when I did a better inspection, I started to notice a lot of shotty work. Specifically with the bender board dividing the gravel and I noticed that they used really small nails for the wooden fence. They did come back a month later to fix the DG because there were areas that were "bouncy", as if not enough DG was laid down. They had to dig up big rocks that were preventing the DG from compacting and they laid more DG on some areas. They also tried to fix some bender board problems, but they did a really horrible job. Three months later, some wood planks on our wood fence start curving and popping up. I called the company because our DG and our fence are under a year warranty. Jake asked me to email him with photos and he said he would call back to schedule a day for repair. Since then I have not heard back from them; they have completely ghosted me. I waited a month then I started calling and no one will pick up the phone. I've left messages and I sent text messages to project manager, Amanda, who was great at communication at first, but now has completely ghosted me as well. Meanwhile, we're still paying monthly for this backyard that is falling apart way too quickly. I'm going to just hire someone to fix the fence before it damages further. I would not recommend them again. Completely overpriced for what you get.

There are several major north-south roads in this area, and Rosemead Boulevard is one of them. San Gabriel Boulevard is another. The road is wide and easy to drive. The nursery is right across the street from Com Tam Kieu Restaurant, one of the better Vietnamese broken rice restaurants in Southern California. On the way there, I passed a construction site, probably a new apartment building. It strongly gave me the impression of an EB-5 green card project, the kind of real estate development marketed less as a normal apartment building and more as an immigration investment package for Chinese buyers. In the middle of the SGV, that feeling was hard to miss. After that came the nursery. I drove from north to south, made a left turn onto a smaller street, and parked outside. The entrance is tiny. You walk through it and immediately reach the counter, where there was even a line. After that, you pass into an indoor room stocked with fertilizers, plant stakes, soil, mulch, and other gardening supplies. Beyond that is the back garden, which is much larger than expected and quite elegant. The plants are clearly well cared for, and the stone sculptures give the place a strong hint of Chinese culture. Along the edge of the main building, there are stacks of Buddha heads, seated Buddhas, and other stone figures, mostly in Chinese Buddhist or imagined Buddhist styles, though not necessarily following any strict traditional standard. There are Chinese signs everywhere, which makes sense for a nursery in the middle of the SGV. Many of the plants have bilingual names. The prices are not cheap, but they are fair. The orchids are much more expensive than what you would find at Trader Joe's or Costco, but they are also more beautiful and much stronger, so I would not call them overpriced. The plants use different colored tags, similar to what you see in many American discount stores. Some are very cost-effective. It is definitely worth stopping by, and even more worth it if you happen to find some good discounted plants. The cashier was a little rude, but as a Chinese person, I found it completely acceptable. I have seen much worse. Even though she was in a rush, the service was not bad. She even gave me an extra bag so the soil would not spill in my car. Overall, this is a good nursery and I would recommend it. It is even better if you understand Chinese culture, because many of the details will make more sense.
