My daughter passed away a couple of years ago and I just now got around to fixing the title on her car. Part of that required the smog. Fast and efficient smog station. Office is a little funky as it is more of a home/childcare/pet/living room than an automotive office. They also do car detailing but they don't publish a price list. You have to tell them the size of the car and then they'll give you a price. They offer window tinting too. I would go back for smog given how fast they were, but I was just a bit put off by the office not being more professional. read more

I would 100% go back to this shop, in fact I have. Cece was amazing to work with and made the process of getting my daughters car back on the road after an accident possible. No they aren't a body shop! But after being jerked around by another local shop for WEEKS with no end in sight for our brake, lights and smog tests on a car we were trying to get a salvage title on these folks had it complete in 24 hours. Less than a week later I was back nope not because something was wrong...I needed a smog for my own car and hadn't realized it until 3 days before it was due to be registered. They were able to get my car in tested and registration paid right there at the shop! Thank you to your entire team for making me feel important and taking care of my families cars. We have been a long time customer, however today my wife went here for a smog... got treated like garbage from the grumpy owner. Was told truck failed smog because it wouldn't communicate. He then proceeded to tell her to go to a mechanic because he was done with her....ok asshole...and charged us 70$ She took it down the street to another smog shop and it somehow passed.....hmmmm I have had excellent treatment from the wife, but the owner is a complete dick! read more

I had a very good experience last week at Lincoln Avenue Smog. My mini cooper had an engine light go on when driving home from work on the freeway. There are no mini service centers anywhere near Napa and it was over the holidays so I was worried about getting help. Lincoln offered to do a test on my car (free of charge) to see what the issue was. They identified it quickly and took car of my car that same day. Friendly and efficient service. I would definitely recommend them. read more

I just have to say this is hands down one of the best businesses in Napa.... This is family owned and operated and they treat you like family. I first came to them for an oil change, and upon walking in to the waiting area, I wasn't sure I was in the right place. Immaculately clean, snacks, big screen tv, a comfy couch, table with chairs for the kids to hang out, and books and magazines galore. One of the owners, Charisse, treated me so kindly on my first visit and I've been coming back time and time again. They just do things *right*. They suggest what might need to be replaced on the next oil change instead of ripping something out of your car and telling you how much more its going to cost you now, or they do a check on something they see and let you know if you may need a repair - they may just offer to take care of it there for ya! Its a family business that's been around a long time doing what they do best. They're dog friendly too, so Fido will be very happy to go along for oil changes and smog tests! Never again. I was a loyal client - even though they charge twice as much as other smog places - but last time that I was there things were just really weird due to the male owner who freaked out about something and started being very antagonistic to me. He told his wife, "I hope that you didn't give him the $10 discount!" and his wife gave him a stern look. At first I thought that she was giving him a scolding look like, "don't act that way in front of a customer" but then I realized it was more of a "don't let him know that I didn't give him the $10 discount!" read more

Update: I noticed that the first positive reviews of this business (after being open 3 years) appeared a day or two after I posted the very sad story of what happened to my mother...so you may want to take these new reviews with a grain of salt :( So, where to start... I came back to Napa for Thanksgiving to spend time with my aging parents, and heard a shocking story from my mother about how she had been treated at Lincoln Avenue Smog. I thought really hard before writing a negative review, since I know a bad Yelp review can hurt a business. I even called the owner to make sure I had all the facts right. Here's the story: My mom, who is 75 years old, and very frail, took her 1994 van in for a smog check at Lincoln Smog, a test-only shop. The van did not pass the initial test, but my mom paid the $65 fee for the first test. At this point the receptionist cheerfully told her "The good news is that it will only be $11 additional dollars when you bring the van back for the second test." A day or two later, after the van was repaired at another shop, my mother brought it back to Lincoln Smog for the retest, and it passed. When she went to pay, the receptionist was out for lunch, and the mechanic handed my mom a bill for $45 instead of $11. My mother told the mechanic about the receptionist's quote for $11 for the retest, and he went into a back room to ask the owner if this was OK. Here's where things get bizarre. The irate owner, a big guy whose name is Joey, came out and immediately started yelling, I quote: "You cheap bitch, I don't want your money, get out now." and other similar words, and stormed out of the room. My mother was shocked, and asked the mechanic for her paperwork, so she could leave. A few minutes later, the owner returned, repeatedly called her a "cheap bitch" and threw two five dollar bills in front of her, screaming "get out now, I'm paying you to leave. I don't want to see your ugly face!" (No, I'm not exaggerating his words!) My mom left, obviously flustered and intimidated, followed by the embarrassed mechanic, who apologized for his boss's behavior. As I said, before posting this review I called the owner to get his side of the story, and he recalled and confirmed all that happened, and justified his behavior, saying people, including my mom, are always trying to rip him off. No apology, not a single word about how his behavior was inappropriate. We ended the call with him saying "write whatever you want." I can't speak to the quality of the work at Lincoln Smog, but the fact that the owner would treat a 75 year old woman like this, much less any customer, would be reason enough to never, ever patronize this business. read more

I highly recommend taking your car here, they offer excelent service and complete the test in little time without an appointment. They can forward your cars Smog Inspection confirmation directly to DMV electronicly. They have a clean waiting area where you don't have to breath the exhaust. read more

Great family owned business that is honest and fair. They give me their honest opinion of what needs or doesn't need to be done on my car and don't try and take my money. I don't know a lot about cars, so I'm glad these guys take care of me and take the time to explain what they are doing. read more
