The Chevy dealer said it would be a minimum of $1,000 to just replace the wheel, and that I'd probably also need to buy one or two tires (about $400 each). I wanted a second opinion hoping for a more affordable solution and a coworker recommended for me to ask Rocky at Napa Tire Experts for help. He was able to quickly identify that while the wheel was indeed cracked and could not be repaired, the tire was undamaged. In the end, they got me back on the road for less than half the cost of the dealership, and were honest about the fact that I didn't need to buy any tires. Rocky also took the time to explain to me what types of tires work well on electric cars so that I know what to look for when I need tires next time.

Cesar looked at our noisy wheel and figured out what was wrong: the lug nuts. Arturo checked and tightened all the lug nuts and put on temporary ones to replace three that had fallen off. After their inspection, they told me I needed to replace the coolant circulation pump. They first showed me a price of $500 for the part but ended up charging me $700 just for the labor. They promised the job would be done in 3 hours. In reality, after spending the entire day there -- I arrived at 9 AM -- the car was still not ready. I only got my vehicle back at 6 PM, and by then I had already missed all my appointments for the day. When I looked at the receipt, I decided to check the price of the part online -- it turned out to cost less than $100. So basically, they charged me over $1,000 just for labor. They also claimed that an oil change for my vehicle would cost almost $500, and for some reason the fuel filter alone was more than $200 -- even though online it costs no more than $40, even from an official dealer. I do not recommend this place -- they will try to overcharge you and take advantage of you. It's unacceptable. I'd also like to add that while I was waiting for my car, it seemed like the mechanic didn't even understand what he was doing. They spent hours trying to refill the coolant, but the engine kept overheating. They were checking the temperature over and over, and now I'm not even sure if the job was done properly. I promised to my self I will never go back again on this Midas or any of there branches, and I am not recommending them. Their mechanic is also untrustworthy.
