    Western omelet with crispy Hashbrowns
    Minnie N.

We were in town for a morning appointment and decided to look for a local breakfast place, and avoid a chain, before driving home. We found this place while searching thru Yelp. It's not really in the center of town or on the main drag so we would've never found it by just wandering around Main Street. The parking lot had a lot of cars so we guessed it's where lots of locals go. We walked in and were told to just sit at any table. The place was maybe 2/3 full. Our server came right over and handed us the menu. She gave us 5 mins to decide on our order. They were out of orange juice so we just ordered iced tea which was very good. The noise level was pretty high and it wasn't full. They had a couple TVs on and music playing at the same time. Also there's no carpet or curtains, or soft surfaces to absorb the noise so everything just bounces everywhere . I can't imagine how loud it gets when they're packed full. We waited about 15 mins for our food. Our server was efficient and polite. My fried eggs were cooked just right and I loved that the hashbrowns were crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. The link sausages looked like they would be dry but they were cooked perfectly. The portion size was pretty large for me but I really enjoyed this breakfast. My husband also liked his western omelet and remarked how it was made with real ham and not luncheon meat ham. You can tell when an omelet is made with sandwich ham because they're super thin. He couldn't finish his hashbrowns because the omelet was so big and filled him up. FYI, none of the servers or employees wore masks, and we only saw a couple of elderly diners enter after we did wearing masks. We brought our own disinfectant wipes and wiped down our table and utensils ourselves because we doubted they have a covid cleaning protocol. The tables and booths are pretty close together, around 2-3 feet apart so when they're full, everyone is at arm's length. There's an outside patio with tables and chairs if you don't want to be too close or are immune suppressed but with the weather turning colder, it might be a bit uncomfortable out there. Altogether our breakfast was under $20 (not including gratuity) and we left there pretty full. The noise level was pretty high so we left right after we finished, plus as mentioned before, no one was masked and it's a closed in place. They close at 2:30pm so it's mainly breakfast and lunch there.

Hungry Jack with country ham, potatoes, grits, and a side biscuit. Missing a pancake in the pic

We were very happy to find this place while visiting thanks to Google and Yelp reviews. We were seated immediately on a Sunday morning. The waitress was excellent - very responsive, friendly and gave us some great recommendations on the menu. I had the Hungry Jack which had an incredible amount of food - eggs, homemade potatoes with onions, country ham, grits and large pancake. I added a homemade biscuit. Wow! I made a egg and ham biscuit sandwich. Could not finish it all. Great pricing, plenty of coffee refills and awesome service. Would definitely eat here again when in the area. Highly recommended.

Garbage plate with biscuits, over-medium eggs, livermush, cheddar cheese, country gravy, and hashbrowns.

They were so pleasant to speak with, especially Misty. I asked Misty what made them want to open such a lovely little establishment, and she stated it was meant to be and that they love cooking and making others feel welcome. This cafe has been open for one month, so I am glad we were able to enjoy a meal here. Something to note is that we went when they were an hour from closing, so we weren't able to enjoy the homemade potato salad they make or the cowboy potatoes. I ordered one of the signature wraps: SOUTHERN CHARM Baked chicken bacon , caramelized onion, pimento cheese, drizzled with honey Let me tell you, this was truly a flavorful and pleasant wrap. The honey and bacon combination was perfect. I have usually learned not to order pimento cheese on something because many places won't serve it warm, but not here. They had it at the perfect temperature, which added to the wrap's taste. The only thing I would change is that they should cut the wraps in half because 1) it's easier to hold as you start eating, 2) it showcases the inside contents of the wrap, and 3) it will excite customers to see it as it arrives at the table. The side I chose was a homemade pasta salad, and I was delighted at how yummy it was because the vinegar wasn't overly overpowering at all, and the ratio of pasta to all the ingredients was perfect. My husband also opted for a signature wrap: **BOLD BUFFALO** Buffalo-baked chicken , pepper jack, ranch, colby jack, lettuce , and tomato. His side was a side salad . Something really cool is that they make their dressings and sauces in-house. My husband found the wrap to be truly delectable. Their lemonade has free refills, and they have other bottled drinks as well as coffee . I asked for and chose some pumpkin pie because it's that time of year, and goodness, it was so good. All in all, this cafe is truly a gem, and I can't wait to see it flourish. I thank you, Misty and Jake, for the amazing customer service.

It's a favorite of the locals and the lunch menu runs heavy on Dogs and Burgers. It's a local favorite with a good lunchtime crowd and it appears to be a favorite with the Firefighters. I went a long time ago when I was active in politics because we had some functions at the Court House and it was just a short walk over but that was something like 40 years ago. A review by a fellow Yelper, Sam J. reminded me of this place so I decided to give them a try. Their hours are limited from 5am till 2 pm and not open on the weekend. With this in mind, tried on two occasions to hit this window only to find them closed both times. The first was a Monday and there was a big funeral in town with a massive Funeral Courtage with most of the Fire Department Equipment in the Courtage. Someone suggested they were closed for this. The following was the next week on a Friday and closed again. Did find that evening that they had a Facebook page and they had posted that they were going to be closed that day. I never refer to Facebook when I am looking for Restaurant Hours or Menu. Bottom line is consider calling first like I did on Wednesday. Walked in and got in line to order at the counter. Took a few minutes but I ordered the #2 Combo with is two dogs all the way (minus Coleslaw - in NC, coleslaw goes on everything) a bag of Chips and choice of drinks which in my case was a 7-UP. Gave me a cup of ice, my 7-Up and bag of chips plus a numbered tent for my table. Found a table and sat down and waited. Took a while but eventually my number was called, and I went back to the Counter to pick up my lunch which was in a Brown Bag. Went to back to my table and proceeded to lunch. The two dogs were excellent with generous amounts of delicious Chile but a bit on the dry side. Copious amounts on Onions as well. The Dogs themselves were some of the best I have had. Nice and plump with great snap and flavor. In other words, the Dogs were great and at $3.25 for the Combo, price cannot be beat. Service is good but since everything is made to order, not instantious so you have to be patient. It is worth the wait however. Ambience is casual and it's more of a hole in the wall but often those are the hidden gems with great food and prices. That's the reason they have been here since 1957.

Sam was our server and she was amazing -- super attentive and made sure I got my order in just before breakfast ended . To start, I had a cortadito and a ham & cheese croqueta -- both were the perfect warm-up for my taste buds. For my main, I ordered a ham, egg, and cheese sandwich with pepper jack cheese and asked if the ham could be warmed up. Sam made sure it came out just right! Hubby had a glass of fresh orange juice and two rellenos de papa (potato balls) -- and let me tell you, those were ! The food was soooo good -- seriously, the eggs were perfectly fluffy, even inside the sandwich . Just thinking about it now makes my mouth water! Later, I ordered a café bonbón but asked for the espresso to not be sweetened -- and it hit the spot perfectly. Smooth, rich, and bold . The only tiny hiccup was the whipped cream on the tres leches cake -- it had a bit of a chemical taste, which was a little off. But the cake itself was still solid! I really loved the palm trees and decor, which gave the place such a laid-back, tropical vibe. My only suggestion would be to maybe brighten it up just a bit -- it felt a little dark inside, so a touch more lighting or a fresh color palette could really enhance the atmosphere. Sam also told us about the fun events and live bands they host -- I definitely want to come back and check those out!
