This is a great little place for nuthin' fancy, but good Southern home style food. Notable are the burgers, especially the Carolina style with chili, slaw and onions, the Cat Head biscuits, macaroni and cheese and the chicken salad. Their sweet tea is delicious. A cute cafe - plenty of great choices for supper on a Friday night including breakfast, sandwich plates, salads and meat dishes. Do not come here looking for pizza or Mexican- it is more "American " type foods. Service excellent. Portions generous. Prices inexpensive. I had the city ham with biscuit, mac and cheese and corn. Mac and cheese was not mixed well and lukewarm but ham and biscuit yummy. Husband had large cheese burger with onions and ff- nothing special he says - added a milkshake which was also "ok." Very disappointed today. We ordered two or their garbage plates and they should have had hash browns but neither plate had them. Called and they apologized and said they were busy and have new staff and they would make it right next time. If there is a next time I will check my order before I leave. read more

We had dinner there last night. We had a large group of 7 and they were busy. Some ordered dinner and some got breakfast items. My country steak was on point. The gravy was very good. Only issue was the pintos needed some more salt. They were served with a piece of ham in the bowl, but they were a bit bland. One of the breakfast orders was pancakes and they were very large. Love going here for breakfast. You get so much food with their monthly specials and it is good home-cooking. The only thing I would say is don't be in a hurry when you go. This is a little country restaurant so the kitchen is smaller than your average IHOP or Waffle House, but the wait is totally worth it in my opinion. read more

Have eaten here 3 times and ordered take-out a couple of times. The burgers and salads have always been good. I love the onion rings as so far they have always been crispy and not a grease laden mess. The service is a little on the slow side, even when not that busy, but I suppose a freshly cooked burger is worth a little wait when you compare it to the precooked or frozen slop you get at a lot of places. The servers seem to be hit-miss. Have had super friendly and have had not-so friendly. The review stating they are closed is not correct, were open just last week. read more

When you walk in you think it's gonna be a little ole country food store, it's really small and they play music, yesterday i ordered a BLT, i got toast, lettuce, bacon and mayo, i told them my order wasn't right, she said what did you order? I said a BLT two for here one to go. Needless to say only one was a BLT, the other one got lost at the grill somewhere. So i eat my half of a TLBM, and she said i can order another one, i said its okay, since I've waited for 40 minutes, and the guy next to me had already received his fried chicken, and green beans, and potatoes with Tea. So i finished my half of a sandwich, and stood to leave and the friendly (sarcasm) cashier said, " i NEED your ticket, I said, i didn't get one", she finally found it, and rang it up, i paid with a card and started to leave she said" i need you to sign this", i signed it and told her you no longer have to sign with MasterCard, and i don't need a receipt" I left that sordid attitude, and i probably won't be back for 10 years. If you cant get a BLT right, and talk decently to people who give you money, for food, why are you in this kind of business? read more

I'm starting with the service. Even though it's a busy place (that's a good sign btw) the people that work there are so nice. Our waitress refilled our drinks without even having to ask. The food was homemade with biscuits to die for!!! The price was **CHEAP** like I couldn't believe it. Went for a late lunch after getting kids from school... 3 grilled cheese, one cheeseburger (1 of the GC was with friend and the burger with fries), 1 tea and 3 kid drinks-- almost $30!!! Wow. Went to cat square yesterday, two kids gc with fries, burger with fries, chicken tenders with side salad, 4 drinks $17. The only good part about Lincoln Cafe was the sweet tea and good ranch, which cat square also has both. Won't be back to Lincoln cafe. Can eat at cat square twice for that price. Unreal. We live about 30 minutes from the restaurant but we drive there almost every Sunday morning because we love the food and the service! Staff is so sweet and very attentive. If we go before it gets super busy we usually get our food in less than 15 minutes after ordering. We don't go out to eat much but Sunday morning breakfast is our thing. We've been to a few other places closer to our house but just don't get the great service/food/coffee. read more

It's not a quarter mile from my house so we use to order from there once sometimes twice a week. The food is actually good and I would have given it more than 3 stars. The issue is the always get out orders wrong. We order for three people each order and at least one if not more of the orders is wrong every single time we order. The worst part is when you tell them they are not at all apologetic about it and have been down right rude. We stopped ordering there unless we just really don't want to have to drive a little further and we always check out order while we are still there. The management really need to work on correcting the issue and on their customer service skills. read more

We waited almost an hour from the time we ordered until we got our food. It seemed like the service was slow for everyone, not just our table. I brought my grandmother here for brunch hoping that she would enjoy getting out of the house after a back injury. But they don't serve hot tea (her drink), they didn't have anything other than half & half for my coffee (I just wanted skim or 2% milk), they didn't have a senior menu and wanted to charge a $2 fee to order off the kid's menu (my grandmother eats very little, so a kids meal is usually just right for her), and then having to sit in those chairs for over an hour (which are normal, but for my grandmother's back was not comfortable) made this outing anything but enjoyable. Then in addition, it was a 4% charge for using my debit card. I was really disappointed. Their only positive thing was that once the food came, it was pretty good, but it wasn't enough to make up for the rest of the experience. read more

And I had no issues to bring up, no complaints, no sending food back or anything like that, just sat down, ordered and got my food with lots of extra attitude.
