Very understanding and helpful. Nice office. She can see more than 1 family member. I assume she still sees adolescents also.

Considering all the stress that day-to-day life can bring, work-related or otherwise, it can be hard to slow down and take a breath on your own. Counting/breathing exercises or meditation tracks can be helpful at times, but in-person human guidance is something that can never truly be replaced. Megan's tone and attitude in our session was warm with concern, care, and attentive presence. Even in a group setting, where I'm normally prone to social anxiety and "Am I doing this right?" introspection, I felt myself ease into a level of relaxation and comfort. Visiting her required less than an hour of my day; it was time that I was happy to give, and time that she was more than ready to use for transforming my negative thoughts/anxieties into positive and in-the-moment reflections. I showed up dreading the humdrum activities of tomorrow, but I left enjoying the air in my lungs, feeling the energy in my body, and savoring even the smallest details of an average day's routine. The short and sweet of it all: I'd definitely recommend her as guide to mindfulness and mental relaxation!

I ended up learning a lot on my own and when I heard Dr Chapman on a podcast from England (ocd stories) I heard him speak a language that the other true experts on ocd and anxiety spoke. I contacted dr Chapman and began working with him in March. He worked with me every week for about three months and I improved significantly over that time. I did things I didn't think I could ever do. I'm extremely grateful to him for helping me get my life and my confidence back. I'm continuing to work with him and each week I can't believe how much he, a man who doesn't suffer from ocd, understands about my disorder. It's absolutely amazing. After 10 years of suffering, I'm happier than I've been for years and I'm continuing to work with him because he continues to offer helpful things to improve my life in other ways (like perfectionism ). If you suffer from ocd or anxiety --in any form-- do yourself a favor and contact Dr Chapman. He's amazing. And better than that, he's a terrific human being. And that's also important for your recovery. You'll want to do your best for him. And he'll help you to do the best for yourself, to be the best version possible of yourself.

I could go into testimony about what it is like to be rid of a life-long phobia, but that would be…read moreboring to anyone who has not had one. I will say that my phobia(of vomit) was controlling my life so much that it's the whole reason I got on Yelp in the first place. I did not trust places that I wanted to eat, even really nice places. I was not leaving my house, and would be near a panic if I ate food anywhere beyond a 15 minute drive from my home. I would not exercise much for fear of overexertion. I love trying new foods, but I was not even doing that. I would not go out anywhere near a bar at night, I would not hang out with friends until I trusted they could hold their liquor, I barely ate meat because the sensation of digesting it made me think I was nauseous. This was my life as of August 26, 2016. At that point, I was tired of having my phobia. I was dreading my honeymoon (October of the same year) because I would need to go in a plane and someone could get airsick. When I saw on his website that he advertised getting people through debilitating phobias with such a short turnaround, I bit the bullet and signed myself up for what I knew would be a tough couple months. I can tell you that it worked, but if you're anything like I am, you won't believe that it will work for YOU. I can't tell you that either. What I can tell you is that Dr. Chapman will be wonderful to work with, he will talk you out of all of your avoidance, and you will find yourself able to do things that have been off-limits for years. Yes, each week I would come in dreading what I was going to be exposed to, but it was never a surprise. I went from literally not being able to see the word "vomit" in August, to laughing so hard I had tears in my eyes at a video of people getting sick, with the sound all the way up, even when my stomach was not feeling "right" (I have a tender tummy). In August, it would have made my heart race to even picture myself doing that. It took less than 6 months to fix something I had fought with my whole life, something that has hurt friendships for me, something that kept me from taking trips and enjoying food, something that had even affected my job choice. Now it is February of 2017, and all I need to fear are things like bad neighborhoods and hearing sounds in the basement when I'm home alone. I've had the confidence to try out a new diet (ketogenic) and exercise. I know that mental health is costly and out-of-pocket, but I PROMISE YOU- if you are looking Dr.Chapman up on Yelp because you feel like you maybe need to fix something that is controlling you, it is well worth the money to go see him. Think of all the life you are being robbed of for free right now.

I had been looking for a psychiatrist who specialized in this particular field since it is something I struggled with for a while. When doing my research I came across Dr. Walker and found out he had a similar educational background as myself as well as living with ADHD too. Making an appointment was extremely easy. I sent an email and received a response from their office admin, Kathleen. The office is a little different than normal doctor offices. There are no on site admins; this is to help keep costs reduced. All communication is through email/phone regarding scheduling. Louisville ADHD does not take any type of insurance but you can file claims on your own if you have out of network coverage. The waiting area has a good deal of information regarding ADD/ADHD. It is very clean and relaxing. There is an entrance to the waiting room and the exit is from Dr. Walker's office. This way the patients never run into each other and I really appreciate that consideration for privacy. Appointments usually last 50 min and can run around $150 for the initial appointment and $300 for the following. I know what you are probably thinking....this is so much money...BUT...hear me out. I've been a patient since November and in less than a month I have had tremendous improvements with my ability to focus both using therapy and medication. I would highly recommend Dr. Walker if you are searching for a psychiatrists who specializes in this field. He genuinely cares about his patients and their progress by offering real therapy and not just medication. Excellent, excellent service, experience, and knowledge!

The team is very good about setting expectations and communicating in advance. For example, about varied hours around holidays. They know how to work with folks that have ADHD and the process is smooth and easy to work with. In the last 4 months working with Dr Walker I have managed to complete two sections of a basement remodel, we can park in the garage for the first time since we moved in, and I have lost almost 25 lbs. These improvements are directly related to having the proper medication and guidance of this staff. Thank you!

I was very uncomfortable. I'm a big fan of science. her office is so cluttered and in disarray I should've predicted it taking over a month to get her report even though she said 2 weeks. I've called and complained twice and she still won't give me a date. this is holding up our school admission process.

PLEASE READ THIS…read more... I would not recommend seeking your time or attention to this place whatsoever. I had been seeing the psychiatrist Dr Francia there for at least 5 months now. Each time I had been there she always just wanted to rush me out and up my dose on my medicine and never wanted to listen to how I felt or what was going on or she wanted to change my medicine completely before even seeing what was going on or what was wrong. First of all, I had seen her a couple months ago about my medicine and it was when the election was going on. She proceeded to just talk about political views and of course that's not what I am going there for?? Not only that she only kept me in the office after driving 40 minutes to the building for maybe 10 minutes tops and she ALWAYS asked me the same questions. "Where do you work?" , "what shift?" "Are you in school?" And barely had any knowledge of her OWN patient. Never even took notes on me or kept background of what was going on. She just constantly threw medicine in my face and didn't care to listen to me whatsoever. Well I just recently had a phone session with her just yesterday and I told her about what was going on and was TRYING to tell her how I felt and what was going on. She kept chuckling OVER THE PHONE. She had proceeded to do it multiple times and so finally it really ticked me off. So I eventually said "as my psychiatrist I feel that you shouldn't laugh at everything that I am saying and you should be more mindful of how I feel and you shouldn't be this rude" and she said "OKAY BYE BYE" AND HUNG UP ON ME. Honestly if this isn't unprofessional and the worst experience I've ever had then I don't know what is. She is only there for the money and doesn't care for her patients ONE BIT. DO NOT GO HERE. RUN.
