They deserve all of the stars…read more Photography was a huge priority for my husband and I as we planned our wedding, and we simply cannot imagine our wedding experience without Angela and Evan. They are not only artists and professionals, but the kindest, warmest people you will ever meet. From our very early correspondence, when we emailed back and forth and talked on the phone (we live on the East Coast, but got married in Seattle), Angela was thoughtful and dedicated, asking questions that showed she truly understands how wedding photography works. One of the things that makes her such an amazing photographer is the effort she puts into getting to know you before she even gets to the wedding - she walked through our venue with us, talked with me about the flow of the day, and made sure to stay in close touch with our wedding planner as well. Angela is so generous - when we decided at the last minute that we wanted to get engagement photos taken, she recommended a photographer friend on the East Coast for us. Some photographers might have been put out that we were asking for a recommendation, but not Angela. And on the wedding day itself, we were lucky beyond belief to get to work with both Angela and Evan - Angela shot me and my ladies as we got ready, and Evan was with the guys. Both of them were there for our first look, and throughout the rest of our day and night. While I never noticed them taking photos at the time, they somehow managed to capture all of the big and little moments that made our wedding so special to us - I don't know how they did it. It was so special to see them work together, too, as a married couple! My husband and I had booked a standard package, which ended an hour before the end of our reception - but Angela STAYED, out of the goodness of her heart, to capture our sparkler exit, because as she said, "I thought it would be really special for you guys to have those photos." Come on - that made me tear up, and filled my heart with such gratitude. Our wedding ended at 11pm, and we hung out with our guests at a bar until 1am. As we got in a cab to take us to our hotel, I got a text message from Angela with 20 incredible, beautiful photos from the day. Keep in mind - she had left the wedding at 11pm, too. So, after a full day of work, she went home and sent me a teaser of photos because she knew how excited I was to see them. You can't make this kind of stuff up; it's just too good to be true! And the delivery of the rest of the photos was amazing as well. Only a couple weeks later, we got a preview of about 80 more photos, and then the full album delivery about a month later. The quality of the photos is simply unmatched. And on top of all of that - which is already above and beyond what you could expect from a wedding photographer - Angela sent a beautiful goodie box last month with lovely prints and treats for us to enjoy. Again, I teared up. Working with Angela and Evan is one of the best decisions I've ever made - in life, not just in wedding planning. You will love them as much as you love your photos, which is to say: a lot!

We agreed that having great photos of our big day was one of our very highest priorities, so the search was on to comb through all the options to find the photographer for us. After a referral from a family friend, we ended up meeting with Angela and booking with her right away without meeting with anyone else. This ended up being one of the best decisions we made throughout our whole wedding planning process. Angela is an absolutely incredible photographer and an even better human being. Our package included engagement photos in addition to the photos on our wedding day. My husband was pretty apprehensive about having his photo taken and was worried that he wouldn't feel comfortable in front of the camera. Angela is such a pro, she easily made him feel comfortable during the engagement shoot and brought out the best in both of us. From the beginning of working together, she felt like a friend and someone we could be ourselves around, which is so important when documenting your big day. When it came closer to the wedding, Angela went above and beyond to make sure we had the things we needed. Five days before the wedding, I realized to my horror that I hadn't ordered ANY sparklers for our sparkler exit....and it was no longer Summer so it was nearly impossible to find a vendor willing to sell me fireworks. I felt so stupid and, honestly, a little panicked that one of the elements of our day that I had spent so much time thinking about wasn't going to happen. After filling her in on our dilemma, Angela began searching for us and found a bride selling sparklers near me that I could meet and ALSO met a seller herself in Tacoma and brought those sparklers with her to the wedding. Seriously, guys, she's the real deal. When it came time for our wedding she absolutely knocked it out of the park. She was a calming presence throughout the pre-ceremony period, providing gentle and much needed direction so that we stayed on schedule and had time for all the photos we were hoping to get before the ceremony. During the ceremony and reception, she blended in seamlessly, capturing every important moment. We were faced with a large amount of rain during our outdoor ceremony and outdoor reception, but Angela took it in stride and captured absolutely beautiful photos every step of the way. I imagine it isn't easy to shoot under those conditions and with that amount of rain, but she made it look easy. Although the rain was less than ideal, we all chose to embrace the elements and see it as a romantic addition to the day. Angela did the same, and captured the spirit of that perfectly in her photos. After recently reviewing all of our photos from our wedding, we truly couldn't be happier with how everything turned out. As mentioned above, she captured the spirit of the day better than I ever could have imagined and, in the process, made all our friends and family look SO good. Looking through all our photos is like reliving the day, and she documented every candid moment with a level of artistry that exceeded all our expectations. We are so proud to share our photos with our loved ones and, honestly, can't wait for an excuse to work with Angela again.

During that first meeting, Stephanie made sure to walk through the general look and feel of what she'd be doing during our wedding. We went over a pretty comprehensive list of family/group shots that we wanted, and she assured us that the day was going to be special. When she showed up for the day of the wedding, she was prepared and professional and definitely knew how to handle two anxious grooms who were running around making sure everything was good for the festivities. My partner and I just let Stephanie take the reins for how our photos were done, and I'm sure she would have preferred a *little* guidance, we're so glad we did, because her ideas were better than anything we could have come up with. Also, having that list of group shots was so important, because it made taking pictures with all of our family and friends fly by. As for the ceremony and reception, Stephanie was adept at blending in/not being noticed while capturing all the memories we could hope for. Same shots, all boring pictures with no imagination (sit down, turn left, face front). Then through a friend we heard of Caren Morris. We found her website and loved her past work, it was exactly what we were looking for. Called and left a message on her voicemail and my call was returned in about an hour. Her prices were extremely reasonable and we discussed what I wanted was some modern family portraits that we could put up in our new house. We discussed the shoot for a bit and we booked. On the day of the shoot Caren was there waiting for us at the park we decided to meet at. As discussed she brought some cool props to aid in getting our creative juices flowing! Caren was super easy to work with and had some great ideas as to what would look great. She was able to keep the mood light and keep everyone engaged. After seeing the final products (just arrived in the mail today) they are awesome! Not only the pictures but the presentation of them to us were on a cute little flashdrive in one of the nicest packages. In short: Choosing Azzura Photography as our wedding photographers was one of the best decisions we've made for our wedding, and the money were so well spent and what we got from them are so much worthy of the money! long version: we are a couple from China, I been here for 8 years and my fiancée has been here for 4 years. we knew each since 2012 and we decided to get married in July this year. And we decided to do a wedding in Seattle, where we knew each other and currently living. we could say we knew very little about how to plan and prepare for a wedding when we started in the beginning of this year (2014). we don't have families in US that could give us advice or share their experience. and we did not have close friends who got married in US either so we were basically did not how how to start! we went to the Seattle wedding show in Seattle convention center in January ( if I remembered it correctly) hoping to get a sense of how to plan a wedding ... but we ended up collecting a few gadgets/swags and a lot of brochures for all kind of services ... but we did not really got the essence of how we could started planning our wedding. and I wished I had stopped by Azzura's booth and got a chance talking to Tania at that time. if we had been able to hired Azzura earlier, then we would have a much easier job in our whole wedding planning. but anyway, we did not do anything after the wedding show, and we started finding a venue for our wedding at the end of February. after more than 1 months of searching , we did find our place, a nice church for the ceremony and a nice water front restaurant for our reception. but it was really stressful and a lot of comparisons and it was tough job. if we've hired Tania from Azzura before we started searching for a location, I am sure we would find a more "picture-perfect" place with her suggestion. anyway. after securing the venue, we started shopping for our photographer. we asked around our friends, and search online (from weddingwire, from yelp etc) , and called almost every studios from the wedding show catalog we've got. there were just too many choices - and some of them were booked at the date we chose, we ended up narrow down to 5 ~ 6 of them. and Azzura was in the shortlist. after we sent the links of their works to our various friends and family members to gather feedback, we got a lot more votes for Azzura - to quote some of our family members/friends' feedback - "Azzura's pictures tell the store vividly" , "I think Azzura has better sense of the whole surrounding for the picture", "look at the light, it feel so classy and so natural..." anyway, we talked to Tania over the phone, met with her once between we decided to hire her. I have to say, comparing to many photographers (including one who were from Hong Kong - considering as our own people) we've talked to, Tania just feel right and very professional. Tania is the co-owner of Azzura Photography Studio (another owner is her husband), they were both professional photographers before they met more than 10 years ago and owned their own studio already (it was a concern to me that some studio owned by a couple, only one of them are originally a photographer and the other just learned to do that under the coaching of the other) . Tania won a lot of awards with her own works. After we started working with Tania, we got so much help and advice from her. We are like from almost knew nothing and had no clue what the proceeding it would be like for our wedding to knowing almost every details. Tania told us everything, she suggested the timeline for us, shared with us a lot of connections and resources to choose from whenever we need a referral (and she was not concerned about whether we hire those or not - because her goal was to help us not to make money for her connections). Thank God we hired Tania! Everybody in our families love her! even the guest were very impressive by her. She came 15 minutes early in our wedding day and leave later then the time we have paid for. She is very energetic and ending up we getting so many photos in the hours of coverage we've paid for - which are so much more beyond our expectation! All of our guest are Chinese, and our whole wedding were carried out in Chinese; Tania were quite experienced with Asian wedding and that did not cause a problem to her (she told us that a high percentage of her clients are Asian). and of course ,the most important thing, we love our photos!!! I knew I had to go with her but can admit I had a lot of questions and needed what I imagine was more guidance than some clients throughout - but Kiersten was a DREAM to work with every step of the way! She was incredibly responsive and communicative. She responds quickly to emails, is genuinely open to questions/ideas/uncertainties, and really wants to understand what her clients are looking for to make sure everyone loves the final products. She listens, asks good questions (has a great and comprehensive form you fill out before the shoot!), encourages you to share what you're feeling or worried about or thinking and then works with you every step of the way. We even had to reschedule once due to weather and I was going to reach out to her but she emailed me first to check in and then easily helped me reschedule without any issues all in a very timely manner. She's also really put me at ease and is so affirming, patient, understanding and a joy to be around.
