The place is run by a Physical Therapist/PTA team, so you can attend for therapy, or join the gym. The equipment in the gym is really unique - it's technogym equipment, so it helps you count and pace your reps, and tracks the weight you use. Since the facility is within the Bill Grays Iceplex, you can use technology on the cardio machines to watch any of the ice rinks (in case you're there during your kid's hockey practice). You can also listen to music, watch YouTube, or travel through various "trails" on the cardio equipment as you work out. And the staff are medical professionals, so they will make sure you have a great program and answer your questions. As for the PT side, Matt & Rob are great and personal. I'd highly recommend them!

First of all, I've been here once and was referred by the Legends radio station for their "$29…read morefirst appointment" gimmick. The $29 covers an examination, a brief (but in depth) massage chair session and some minor adjustments. Actual adjustments, aka cracking your back like a glowstick is $35. I was not expecting to spend more than $29 at my first visit so I was a little off-put, and that's why I'm giving it 3 stars. Their program, on the other hand, seems very reasonable, $99 a month for at least 6 months (with early termination fees if applicable) for 4 sessions a month, or $35 for any adjustment. They do not take insurance but keep their prices competitive and low. They use a lot of technology at this practice, including laser and cryotherapy. Might be your thing, might not be. Doctor seemed plenty knowledgeable and I was even sent home with a sheet displaying various stretching exercises.

I've got a long tale to tell that involves a broken toe (dang that delicious Jamaican rum while on…read moreholiday and I lost track of my foot walking into the door!), that went untreated ... and I rolled my foot to protect it, which led to too much pressure on that side of the foot and a pinched nerve b/w two toes. And then we all came home for the pandemic and I stopped wearing shoes on my wooden floors (no cushioning) AND started doing Barre-exercise (like ballet, up on toes and ball of foot), which made that pinched nerve so aggravated, that I walked funny on my ankle to accommodate. Which led to my calf getting weird b/c of the ankle ... which led to my knee getting weak and sloppy to accommodate the calf and ankle and pinched nerve and now-healed-broken-toe. Then my hip was affected, and next thing you know, the sciatic nerve is involved and I've got lower back pain! HOW DID I FIGURE ALL THIS OUT? you ask ..... and how can I sit here, pain-free, and type what's getting ready to be a glowing review? Why Callan-Harris PT, of course!!!! Sarah Carlton has been JUST great at deducing what was wrong ... how it happened ... and how to fix it. I have a battery of strengthening and stretching exercises that have been TRANSFORMATIVE how much they've helped, and that I enjoy so much, I actually have no doubt I'll keep doing long past my sessions with Sarah. I used to bring her to her sessions and I could see firsthand the level of attention she was receiving from a staff of workers who seemed one more amazing then the next. I was pleasantly surprised at the kindness that they all had particularly for older patients. Years later and I'm dealing with my own assortment of various injuries and ailments and I am happy to report that I enjoy the same level of care that I used to bring my grandmother there for. From the front desk (Sophia) and all the staff that I have seen there, they go out of their way to know you and show that they care. Currently I see both Dr Brendan, Dr Kathryn (physical therapists) and Dr Evely (chiropractor) there and I appreciate all their knowledge and wisdom in my recovery process. I really don't think I would have progressed in this long season of post-surgery recovery. I truly appreciate their individualized approach and care while also encouraging me to not be discouraged in this season of my life physically. You can tell they put the client first and you feel valued and they truly listen to how you are doing each week and try to tailor the exercises and therapy based on how you feel. For physical therapy, I get a lot out of a one 30 minute session versus a larger run-of-the-mill physical therapist clinic who see many clients at one time where they often use a cookie-cutter approach. I also like how they incorporate the manual therapy techniques in their sessions besides just the exercises. For chiropractic care, I have been doing the ultrasound and regular adjustments for my back and knee. The table they also use really helps to align my hips and lower back. Both for chiropractic and physical therapy care, they also have used various manual therapy techniques like cupping, massage gun, stretching and manipulation techniques which have all helped in my journey to recovery. I would recommend this treatment for anyone who has sciatica. The staff he works with are friendly and compassionate. They let my husband stay with me as long as possible.
