The place is a local place where everyone knows each other so they kind of look at the new person like why are you in here. The place is a classic Wi dive bar with a small bar, tables on the wall and a pool table in the back of this small bar. The bar top is made of nickels which is cool because you usually see pennies on bar tops. They have a few taps which is a mix of domestic and non domestic so I ordered the Lakefront IPA which came in a frosted glass and ice cold which hit the spot for my craving for a cold beer.

It's almost a two-hour drive from Chicago, but the directions were clear once we arrived. The parking lot is huge, divided into lanes based on your ticket type--general, VIP, and another option. We parked in the general lot, which was grassy and well-organized with people guiding us. It's about a 5-7 minute walk from the parking lot to the entrance, and the entry process was smooth, just a quick ticket scan. Inside, there were several food and drink counters, but the lines were long. The porta-potties by the lot and the restrooms inside were surprisingly clean when we used them. The venue itself is massive, with a seating arrangement and a lawn near the stage, plus lots of extra space above the seats. Finding our spot was easy, thanks to helpful staff. I noticed plenty of people sitting near the grassy lot too. The sound and bass were amazing--exactly what we came for! Fred Again even played a few songs in between the seats, and they had screens so everyone could see him. We grabbed a couple of drinks, but they were pricey--almost the same cost as my ticket, which was a bit funny. All in all, it's a great venue!

The group in front of me eventually had to fold their blankets and stand because they continually kept getting stepped on and spilled on while people went past them to the fence to throw up. Unfortunately, this second dinner was even worse than the first. The rice was undercooked, the short ribs were dry, and the scallops were gritty. I realize that, for some people, the Buy One, Get One promotion is a big draw. However, I suspect that the menu prices are inflated to offset the BOGO savings, so it doesn't end up being much of an actual benefit. My wish is that they would focus on improving the quality and consistency of the food and charge prices that appropriately cover their costs while still allowing them to make a profit. I don't think we'll be coming back anytime soon, which is sad because there is so much to like about the location and atmosphere.

Not to mention the food was spectacular! They fully accommodated us, the prices were reasonable, and overall it's a fun place to be. Highly recommend!
