Cyanobacteria and hair algae on most of the tanks... some so bad you couldn't see into them. Sometimes the employees could be amazing. This last time, they were friendly and quick to want to help. But their tanks leave a lot to be desired. With that said, they have some of the best selection of fish in Dayton. Not sure how they price because some things are value-price conscious and others are absurdly overpriced... of the things I know about. For instance $9.99 for a cherry shrimp? I assume that's for the guarantee ... but their Amano shrimp were -reasonable- for a pet shop for less than that. There were some other items from plants to food where even Petco had better QUALITY and prices.

On 7/7/26 around 5:30pm I went to go check on him, and he looked like he was all spread out. I put on some gloves and picked him up and he wasn't moving at all. The store itself does offer a wide variety of products for all types of pets, so it's a good place to shop for supplies. However, based on my experiences, I would not recommend this location for grooming.

I boarded him over Thanksgiving weekend, and while the ladies working there were very sweet, there was a huge miscommunication on their part. I left his food with a clearly labeled 1/3 cup scoop, and he eats 1.5 cups per day, yet they assumed the 1/3 scoop was a full cup and severely underfed him. He clawed at the metal gate so much that his paws started bleeding, and no one told me until I called them myself and even then, they barely answered the phone. I had to call multiple times just to reach someone. Since they don't let owners see the boarding area, I had no idea he was in a setup that stressed him out, and I wish someone had recommended upgrading him to a suite with a glass door. When I picked him up, he was noticeably skinnier, had dried blood on his paws and even had poop on his back paws. I feel incredibly guilty, like he thought I abandoned him and let him starve, and I will not be boarding him here again.
