If I did find one that was big enough, it did not have a lot of padding. So we brought in our black lab, to try out his new bed before we bought it. We wanted to make sure that he fit in it properly and that he liked it. They let us pull any bed off-the-shelf and let him try it out. This place is expensive, but if you're looking for a particular item, you will probably find it here.

She could tell my brother's dog Jaz was a bit antsy about getting a bath (her arch nemesis) and offered some treats to help relax her. Clare showed us to our wash station, explained what we needed to know, and gladly gave Jaz some scritches; Jaz was so happy!! She does hate baths, but adored the blow dryer. Overall, it seems like all the staff here do a wonderful job taking care of customers, keeping the store clean and organized, and providing a friendly and low-pressure environment-- an absolute MUST in this ruined economy. Jaz also got a new tug-of-war toy and is in love with it. We will definitely be bringing her back here for future bathing and product needs!

We came home and put in an application through the Humane Society. We were told that Meowza wanted us to come in and see them again before we could take them home. We waited in Dayton Mall for an hour before opening the next day as not to miss them. We went in and asked about the cats and were told they were placed on hold. The shop manager had called before opening to place them on hold for "friends" of hers outside of store hours. We were told we were not allowed to see them or take one home. This was very frustrating as we had gone through the proper procedures and preparations to bring our new kitten home with the understanding we would be bringing it home after formalities. We were later told we could choose another cat for free but that isn't what this is about. We did not deserve the treatment we received there and we don't want another cat. We wanted the one we felt a connection to. While I fully support the Dayton Humane Society I will never enter this store again and will certainly share our story with others. I would not suggest adopting from here-unless you are a personal friend of Sally.

So the next day, we took her to the Animal Resource Center. I was given a short number of questions which were easy to answer. I wanted to find out if I would know when she was adopted. They gave me the (long) number attached to her. I could call in any day and give the number to see if she had been adopted. He also told us that she got a cage with a dog run, along side three other little dogs. Sounded nice. I recommended the center to a friend looking for a dog.

On our first visit, she came back with a bloody tail, and I was told she had hurt herself on the kennel--which was hard for me to believe. She was also finished in under 30 minutes, which made me question whether she actually received the full grooming service I paid for. I didn't want to make a big fuss, so I let it go, but after giving them a second chance and still not having a great experience, I can't recommend their grooming services. The store itself does offer a wide variety of products for all types of pets, so it's a good place to shop for supplies. However, based on my experiences, I would not recommend this location for grooming.

The girl was clipping a dog and said she would page me when she was ready for me. It should be about 10 minutes. Ok. A half an hour later I went back in and she apologized as she had started on another dog. Again "I will page you in about ten minutes". Forty-five minutes after my appointment, she came out and said "I am so Sorry, I forgot about you. It will be five minutes." I waited until my pup was getting antsy. I went in and different girl was working. I explained I had a 5 o'clock appointment to get my dogs nails clipped and it was now 6:15. "Well, She went home. I don't have time." I will never go back there again.
