OMGOSH!!!!!! I am so glad that I went! I hurt my knee the week of Valentine's Day, it was swollen and I couldn't put my full weight on it. 2 weeks later, my knee popped, and I could barely walk on it. 7 hours in urgent care and ER, I went to Ling's. The doctor asked questions, and began touching my knee and identified where the issue was. One needle made me cuss, lol! After the treatment (needles and cupping) I was able to walk, and the swelling went down considerably at the end of the day. I went back again yesterday, as it was bothering me again. This is a very traditional acupuncture clinic that doesn't have a bunch of new age stuff, it's very basic. I was referred by a friend and visited for a very inflamed 'tennis elbow' situation that has been bothering me for months. Calvin treated me and I experienced immediate relief. Their price is very reasonable and for me, the proof is in the way I feel just after one treatment, night and day difference! I recommend them. Also, if you don't want cupping in certain spots you need to tell them because that's part of the treatment. It does leave a mark. They use a first come first serve policy. I've never done acupuncture and let me tell you this came at the perfect time to try it. I was having the most unbearable upper back spasms due to a pinch nerve. I was recommended by a co-worker that this was a very traditional/holistic facility with reasonable prices. It was walk-in and i had to fill out a quick form. I waited for about 15 mins before being seen. Dr. Ling had some jokes because he looked at me and imitated my posture. Apparently this is not his first rodeo. Anyway he told me that sitting for long periods of time and hunching over a screen, while driving, etc. will definitely lead me to feeling like the way I was at that moment. The acupuncture was first and then he placed an infra red light over me for about 20 minutes. After a heat pack was added and then he did the cupping. First time visiting I came in and signed my name on a call sheet, while I waited I filled out a first time visitor registration form. It was pretty busy inside but the wait was very short. When it was my turn I was brought to my room where I explained my pain/concern area. The doctor told me what treatment I should be following at home. It was a very thorough consultation. 1st time going to this accupunture office. I emailed to set appt, but then noticed the hours on Thursdays were 1pm - 6pm so I called and got right in. Went and filled out new patient paperwork- pretty common. What is GREAT is the care! They are most authentic acupuncturist and herbalist around- that I have found. They were not just knowledgeable, they were kind and honest, and affordable. I went for migraines- been having them for years- however this past week or so (prior to appt) I had them daily I was worried it was leading to a debilitating- horrible monster migraine. So I called- Henry I think is his name- did great job. Advised I had major tension in muscle between eyebrows- and may need to come back if heating pad doesn't help. Don't ever go to Ling's Acupuncture & Herbs on Marine Ave!! On 5/24/2025 I went to Ling's Acupuncture & Herbs on Marine Ave. in Gardena, CA for my back aches. While I was there, I was complaining about my overactive bladder to Dr. Ling and he said take my herbs and it will be corrected in one month. I was like really? He said yes. And I was overjoyed! I was so happy that I don't have to get up 3 - 5 times a night go to the bathroom. He said it's $400 cash and I paid. My friend was with me and he also told her that his herbs will correct her high cholesterol issues. She told him she will come back for herbs after she gets a blood work done. My friend said it's too good to be true but I really really believed in Dr. Ling. Well, I guess I wanted to believe him. I tried herbs for one month diligently and never skipped a dose. After taking for a month and nothing has changed, it really angered me. How can you lie about correcting/curing a disease? How dare you gave me such a hope and took my hard working money. Did you ask for cash so no one can trace it? You have a kind face but you are truly evil! You claim you never promised but my friend is a witness. You DID Promise for a Cure!! My friend said I will never go back to him after how he took advantage of you. I went in with shoulder pain that I thought I'd have to live with, and after just a couple of visits, the pain was gone. On top of that, Sun Ling noticed my breathing wasn't clear and treated me for it. I've been sleeping better ever since breathing out of both nostrils clearly, even though that wasn't why I went in. She is professional, polite, respectful, and genuinely cares about her patients. She explained everything before starting, asked thoughtful questions, and made me feel so comfortable throughout. The clinic is very clean with AC. The fees are very reasonable, and I never had to wait, she values your time and won't over book. If I could give her a 10 instead of just 5 stars, I would. Called in made appointment and just like that I'm here! Awesome response and service. Nancy was amazing and communicated everything upfront. I've done needle acupuncture before but back in 2014 for something different. This time for back pain. Boy was I in for it..... ouch but a good ouch. We began with needles and then cupping I took it like a champ but then I tried getting up and omg the pain hadn't been alerted yet, Nancy quickly said we have to fix this, you can't leave till your better. Came in for walk in appointment and saw Dr. Judy within 15 minutes. Very knowledgeable and professional care. Came in for trigger thumb issue (tensosynovitis) and some low back pain after a month long backyard renovation. I found out I also had some carpal tunnel which was contributing to the trigger thumb issue. Was treated with accupuncute and cupping for low back pain. Back was feeling better immediately after treatment and my hand was able to grip stronger. They also have some nice lucky cats in their office decor. read more

Bottom line: Came in with 8/10 pain on my left shoulder radiating to my elbow, whenever I lifted/turned/rotated or put any pressure/resistance on this arm. (From physical wear and tear) After 30-45 minutes of treatment, I can perform these movements with 0-1 discomfort which eventually after proper rest/recovery (dependent on each person's condition) goes away. After being recommended by a friend, and some research, I decided to try this treatment. Dr.Calvin is very skilled and efficient.
