Linguini with Eggplant Parm with extra marinara.
    DeeDee H.

Came back because I was craving really good marinara and this is one of a few restaurants I know that does it good. Their eggplant is also the way I like it prepared - without breading. Their eggplant meal was fabulous. My husband had the Alfredo with chicken and broccoli, which he said the sauce was excellent. He liked the garlic bread over another favorite place of ours. I think the server said that the desserts are from Modern in Boston. No coffee though.

    Cannoli. Just perfect.

I was in Marlborough for work and found this place while out for an evening walk. Super busy and lively. Loud but not so loud that it made it difficult to carry on a conversation. I had the seafood manicotti special which was super tasty. I also had a cannoli for dessert which was a perfect ending. Prices were super reasonable for the amount of food served. Staff was super nice. They were very busy and I didn't feel rushed at all.

Beef Bracciole was wonderful. Great service and nice prices.

Beef Bracciole and mussels over Linguine. Waitress was great , quick service and great pricing.

THERE WAS LITERALLY NO SAUCE IN THIS BAKED ZITI. TEXTURE NIGHTMARE. creamy alfredo, lumpy ricotta & melted mozzarella makes a paste that will make u lose your appetite. service was pretty good and bread was great.

    Mushrooms pizza

Very disappointed. Never have a Sausage Parm 12" hot sub without pepper or onions, sadness parm ever seen. Also got a slice of mushrooms pizza, the mushrooms literally got thrown on top with no cooking. In short, never will come back again.

I came with two teenagers in tow at around 7 on a Friday night. The place was about half filled, but lively. At least 3 different customers were walking out with take out orders as we walked in. There is a sign at the entrance that says "wait to be seated." So, we waited. I found it interesting that no one said "be with you in a second." It was awkward. A young busboy then seated us grumpily and took our drink orders. He must be having a tough evening. But he was working very hard, so let it slide. They should really have an adult man the entrance. Bread came quick to the table with packets of butter. It was good bread - maybe mini ciabattas? Not your typical bland white Italian bread. I wish we have two baskets of them! Our waitress came by about 10 minutes later and took our order. She was all buiness, but friendly. Like I said, this place was hopping and it was obvious everyone was wearing multiple hats. I ordered rigatoni bolognese with a side Caesar salad. My kids got garlic bread, cheese pizza and fettuccini Alfredo with lobster. So the salad was basic - but you can't get any more basic than Caesar salad. The dressing was obviously from a bottle, but it was tasty whatever it was. The rigatoni was... odd. They had huge chunks of onions and peppers in it. The onions I was ok with as I love onions. But the peppers overpowered the dish. I recommend they save the time and money and omit the onions and peppers. Instead, a nice dollop of ricotta would have been better. They also need to break down the ground beef more. The huge chunks didn't absorb the flavor of the sauce and tasted bland as a result. The pizza was an all basic. Tasty sauce, good cheese, nice bend, but the crust wasn't fresh stretched. They must use pre-made crusts - that's what it tastes like. Think big Boboli pizza crusts you get at the market. Not bad - but you expect better. I can make that myself at home. My son said the lobster in his fettuccini was very rubbery and sauce needed salt. But he ate it anyway. They didn't like the garlic bread, which was surprising. The best part was the dessert as they get it from Modern Pastry in Boston. Would I go back? Probably not. But if I was in the area I might do takeout in a pinch.

For take out, I ordered angel hair pasta in alfredo with scallops and shrimp. When I got home, I realized they forgot to add the scallops. When I called, I was disappointed to hear that they will only give me a $4 credit back for a mistake they made and I was not able to have the meal I ordered. The manager was so rude! She told me to not come back multiple times and I told her I've been a loyal customer for over 15 years!

Order the chicken Alfredo with broccoli. Dip your bread in the sauce. Get cannolis for dessert. You're welcome.

I think it's unfair to rate places like Evviva the same way one might rate a typical "foodie"…read morerestaurant, so this review should be viewed relative to other chain, family-style restaurants. Evviva is spacious, service is fast, and food comes in generous portions. Three of us shared a roasted harvest salad, orecchiette, and a large hot honey pizza. A bit salty, oily, and overdressed, but the dishes were easily enough to fill all three of us and the food came out fast despite how surprisingly busy the place was on a random Tuesday night. Nice place for a family dinner or to meet with a big group of friends. We'll be back when the occasion calls for it because you know what you're going to get at this restaurant.

As for food, we had someone who is gluten free so they offer a separate menu, which I greatly appreciate. It's a full menu too, not just a few salads and such. They offer sandwiches on gluten free focaccia, meatballs, pasta, and such. We ordered the gluten free cheesy bread which was fine. Nothing remarkable. We also ordered the gluten free wings as appetizer. These were good. We ordered the bacon and Gorgonzola salad which was the best dish of the table. The chicken parmigiana (their specialty) was nothing special. Tasted like boxed pasta with jarred sauce. Chicken was average sized, pounded thin. Our GF diner ordered the meatballs diavalo (gluten free). Pasta was gummy. Meatballs were decent. Rating the food on its own, it's a solid 3.0. However with service and atmosphere, I gave a slightly higher rating

There was no valet service, and the parking lot was already full, but we found a street parking spot very close to the restaurant. We were seated immediately at a window table overlooking the pond, one of Alicante's nicest features. We've dined here many times over the years, although our last visit was disappointing due to sluggish service. Fortunately, this evening proved to be a return to form. Ice water, wine, and warm bread arrived almost immediately as our attentive three-person service team got us settled. While the evening specials were tempting, we opted for two longtime favorites from the regular menu: Piccata di Pollo - $27 Shrimp Scampi - $29 Total with wine and tax: $84.53 Our entrées arrived promptly, hot, and beautifully prepared. The chicken piccata was exceptionally tender, complemented by a bright, flavorful lemon-butter sauce. The shrimp scampi featured perfectly cooked shrimp in a classic butter and garlic sauce that was well-balanced and not over-seasoned. As always, the portions were generous--enough that some of the chicken accompanied us home. After one less-than-memorable visit, it was nice to see Alicante back at the top of its game. Excellent food, attentive service, and a beautiful setting make this a restaurant we look forward to visiting again. Tip: Even though Alicante is on Route 16, you can park along the road. Be careful exiting the driver side, it's a very busy road.
