Beef Bracciole and mussels over Linguine. Waitress was great , quick service and great pricing.

    Mushrooms pizza

Very disappointed. Never have a Sausage Parm 12" hot sub without pepper or onions, sadness parm ever seen. Also got a slice of mushrooms pizza, the mushrooms literally got thrown on top with no cooking. In short, never will come back again.

THERE WAS LITERALLY NO SAUCE IN THIS BAKED ZITI. TEXTURE NIGHTMARE. creamy alfredo, lumpy ricotta & melted mozzarella makes a paste that will make u lose your appetite. service was pretty good and bread was great.

I came with two teenagers in tow at around 7 on a Friday night. The place was about half filled, but lively. At least 3 different customers were walking out with take out orders as we walked in. There is a sign at the entrance that says "wait to be seated." So, we waited. I found it interesting that no one said "be with you in a second." It was awkward. A young busboy then seated us grumpily and took our drink orders. He must be having a tough evening. But he was working very hard, so let it slide. They should really have an adult man the entrance. Bread came quick to the table with packets of butter. It was good bread - maybe mini ciabattas? Not your typical bland white Italian bread. I wish we have two baskets of them! Our waitress came by about 10 minutes later and took our order. She was all buiness, but friendly. Like I said, this place was hopping and it was obvious everyone was wearing multiple hats. I ordered rigatoni bolognese with a side Caesar salad. My kids got garlic bread, cheese pizza and fettuccini Alfredo with lobster. So the salad was basic - but you can't get any more basic than Caesar salad. The dressing was obviously from a bottle, but it was tasty whatever it was. The rigatoni was... odd. They had huge chunks of onions and peppers in it. The onions I was ok with as I love onions. But the peppers overpowered the dish. I recommend they save the time and money and omit the onions and peppers. Instead, a nice dollop of ricotta would have been better. They also need to break down the ground beef more. The huge chunks didn't absorb the flavor of the sauce and tasted bland as a result. The pizza was an all basic. Tasty sauce, good cheese, nice bend, but the crust wasn't fresh stretched. They must use pre-made crusts - that's what it tastes like. Think big Boboli pizza crusts you get at the market. Not bad - but you expect better. I can make that myself at home. My son said the lobster in his fettuccini was very rubbery and sauce needed salt. But he ate it anyway. They didn't like the garlic bread, which was surprising. The best part was the dessert as they get it from Modern Pastry in Boston. Would I go back? Probably not. But if I was in the area I might do takeout in a pinch.

For take out, I ordered angel hair pasta in alfredo with scallops and shrimp. When I got home, I realized they forgot to add the scallops. When I called, I was disappointed to hear that they will only give me a $4 credit back for a mistake they made and I was not able to have the meal I ordered. The manager was so rude! She told me to not come back multiple times and I told her I've been a loyal customer for over 15 years!

    Fresh Maine Mussels

A small authentic Italian restaurant located just down the street from all the big name shops in Marlborough. As you walk in you start to get the feeling of an old time, loud Italian family spot. A great open kitchen that cooks all the main meals as well as pizza. Main room is small and crowded, but you can still carry on a conversation. The servers all work together to bring you your best meal and experience. The menu is huge and the pasta is all made in house. I recommend going with one of the specials. They brought fresh warm bread to start, always a plus. We started with the Maine mussels. A nice size portion of perfectly cooked mussels, in a butter, garlic and tomato sauce. Wife had the chicken and eggplant parmigiana. Two large portions of each, lightly breaded and cooked perfectly. I had the Pappardelle lobster. A delicious dish with giant chunks of lobster. We also had a cannoli for dessert, made while we watched and delicious. Only slight downside was they moved fast and tried to turn the tables quick. Other than that, worth the stop

Order the chicken Alfredo with broccoli. Dip your bread in the sauce. Get cannolis for dessert. You're welcome.

The menu offers a wide variety of tasty options. Cocktails were delicious with a lovely lakeside setting including outdoor seating and bar with a nice view. The best part, however, was our lovely and attentive server, Marianny who was poised, efficient and friendly and left such a good impression that we will certainly return. Highly recommend.

Even though it was an early dinner, it was already getting busy at this popular, out of the way, restaurant. Alicante provides a beautiful venue, a long rectangle footprint on the shore of a small pond, offering lovely views from every table. It took a few minutes for our waiter to arrive at our table, and as the evening progressed, the service slowed to a crawl. Historically, the service has been excellent at this upscale restaurant, but it seemed that our waiter had too many tables and was overwhelmed. Bread and water were brought promptly, as was our tasty calamari appetizer. But the salad which we were told would arrive quickly took a long time to find its way to our table, and the entrees seem to take forever. We ordered: * Tuna Sashimi * Caser Salad * Calamari * Ternera Marsala * Seared Scallops * Pasta Special in Cream Sauce * Riesling and Cabernet The calamari appetizer was excellent. For my entre I ordered the seared scallops, which were good, but the risotto was very dry. I sampled the pasta with chicken in cream sauce, which was tasty, but the chicken was also very dry. And when I returned home, I received an email from the reservation app asking why I hadn't arrived for my reservation. I think the hostess was also overwhelmed. I think the Alicante was having an off night, which can happen at any establishment. That said, considering the $305 tab, we were hoping for better overall execution.
