Amazing food although a minimal vegetarian options. A nice touch of a spicy oil specially for the Indians from the chef makes it more amazing. The waiter serving our table didn't feel much appealing but for the front desk and others, I would add these stars. Reservations must or hard to find a table.

I can't get enough of the eggplant rolatini, and so I had it for dinner this time. It is perfectly seasoned perfectly breaded, perfectly cheesed up. Simply perfection on a plate, delicately adorned with his delicious red sauce. So delicate so flavorful. We shared the Arancini, fried crispy, gold and delicious. Stuffed with a big wad of mozzarella cheese. we also shared a heaping bowl of fried calamari where Chef sneaks in fried zucchini sticks, which are a zucchini version of a french fry. He should offer these as a separate appetizer, because I didn't get enough of them! DELICIOUS! For his entrée, my husband ordered one of the new kids on the block - chefs pillow, fluffy gnocchi, in a light and flavorful marsala sauce, infested with braised duck. We are one of the irregular regulars, and every time I come, I ask myself - why don't I come more often? The staff is new to me, and the bar staff still has a little bit to learn. But overall, everybody is as friendly as chef Pepino, who always comes out of the kitchen, talks to people, glows whenever he hears the mmm, ooo, aaa when we take a bite. He was shocked to see me because I hadn't been there since February! And of course he asked me if I had ordered my rolatini and assured me that there was plenty to go around! Because that's the kind of guy he is - you walk through his door and you are family. If you like eggplant parm, his eggplant dish is a delicate rendition perfectly executed. And I would tell you that if you love gnocchi, don't walk, RUN and order the gnocchi marsala with duck. Thank me later.

What a great night out with some friends who had never been to Chef Peppino restaurant Da Vinci Bistro. Went to the restaurant had an idea what I was going to get and I ended up doing a 180 and went with the Sword Fish in instead of the Masala Ravioli Indian - Italian fusion ravioli stuffed with ricotta cheese, English peas and ginger then coated in a spicy tomato cream sauce. Finished with a curry leaf pistachio which was my 1st intention! CL Lobos got the Chicken Cordon Bleu (GF) Stuffed with Prosciutto Cotto and Fontina cheese. Served with roasted potatoes and baby carrots. Finished in a creamy lemon sauce and Shana Adams got Lamb Chops (GF) Served with a potato cake and sautéed spinach. Finished with pistachio and basil pesto. To top the dinner outting Chef Peppino ended up coming in towards the end of dinner and stopped by the table to tell us about his new cooks books yes plur he is creating and we ended up tasting and taking photos of some of his new soups for his books! Even though they were all Vegetarian Soups wow they were good! Minestrone was hearty and full of flavor. The Cauliflower soup was so silky and rich in flavor if probably eat a gallon of that but my top thus far was his Tomatoe Soup with Garlic croutons! You can also visit Da Vinci Bistro in Waltham at his newer location and my all time favorite restaurant Soul of India Sudbury The lighting is so perfect over there and the bar maybe small but we sure did have a great time

Food was amazing. Good size serving. Service was just ok. There were four of us and we all enjoyed our meal. I will likely go back.

Food was descent, place was a bit austere but people that work there are nice enough. Very accommodating.

Last visit had obtrusive and annoying music and food quality was disappointing. Much better restaurants available.

Decided to try this place after sobra mesa closed in the same spot. I believe it is the same owners…read moreand for sure much of the same staff, with a remade concept. The restaurant itself is still very nice - big bar at which I ate (single) and a separate dining room. Given my dissatisfaction with the former cuisine I did not have high expectations this time. But I believe this time may work out better for them. There are few decent Italian restaurants in the area, whereas there is heavy competition in good Mexican food. My daughter and her husband have gotten takeout and dined in once and warned me it might be inconsistent. We shall see. I believe they have potential. The wines are not clearly explained. Just "light" or "not so light". Cute but uninformative. Wine prices by the glass are on the high side. I tried one that was supposed to be similar to a Pinot noir. It was terribly bitter. It was then replaced with a Barbera. Much better. I wanted to graze so avoided large plates. Ordered the meatballs appetizer and the eggplant ricotta crepe. This place also serves pizza (which are basically flatbreads so don't expect decadent crust) so the meatballs were the standard pizza-style rubber balls. Sauce was flavorful but they were too chewy. The eggplant crepes- which I can only describe as "quesadilla-like" were wonderful. Very light but full of flavor (I asked to hold the truffle oil, which can overpower). I'd order those again, with a bit less pesto on top as there is plenty of basil inside. It's a small app but nice. That dish is a winner. Service was experienced and quite knowledgeable. When I commented on the meatball texture they did acknowledge- "Well yeah we know that." On a Friday night they were pretty quiet. I hope they make it. I will come back when I'm visiting the daughter again and try a couple of other dishes.

Because we are long-time fans of the sister restaurant downstairs (Sobre Mesa), my parents and I…read morewere very excited to try the Italian menu upstairs this time! The cocktails (Pom Pom and Violette Smash) were delightfully refreshing and the red wine was, in deed, "Really Nice." We started with 2 appetizers: the mushroom bruschetta which was delicious and just crispy enough, and the wood-roasted meatballs which were awesome! (and to be honest we're typically pretty picky about our meatballs!) I had the chicken parm, which was absolute perfection (not surprising given their other sister business Nan's is known for their fried chicken)! My mom had the Bolognese with chorizo, which she thought was a little spicy for her taste, but still delightful. My dad had the Slow Cooked Pork Sugo, which I think is his new favorite Italian dish ever! Also, there was still plenty left to take home to continue enjoying for leftovers the next day! By the way, the service is excellent, and the ambiance is, of course, incredible (we even decided to host my sister's bridal shower in the upstairs space earlier this year - If you're interested, see the Private Events section of Sobre Mesa's website!) I highly recommend stopping in or making a reservation for your next dinner out or ordering takeout! We will definitely be back again soon!
