Just moved to the area from NY and decided to try this place. My wife and I ordered enough food for 6 people just in case some of what we ordered wasn't good. This was some of the best take out we have ever had! The Thai food is excellent! Super fresh vegetables, large portions, and terrific flavor! The fried avocado with crab meat was delicious. This is my favorite place to get sushi. They do both specialty and traditional sushi rolls. My favorites are the volcano and the coconut shrimp. The neon lit storefront exterior doesn't quite align with the impressive presentation of meals. I ordered the sushi deluxe which i won't order again. I thought i could choose the sushi option, but that was not the case. Instead I received a basic option which didn't WOW me, but it satisfied my hankering for sushi. This is a great option for Five Forks locals to enjoy sushi without venturing downtown. Perfect for families although the kids meal was $9.00 albeit a hearty portion (enough for my husband to take to lunch the following day). Service was fine. Sushi was fresh. Food is very good most of the time. But it is a moot point when nearly EVERY time we order, they get something wrong. And don't get me started on ordering through BiteSquad. Apparently, they deliver themselves (in-house) with ordering processed through BiteSquad. Which meant we waited TWO hours for delivery and BiteSquad had no way of checking the process. The next time I ordered pick up, waited in the parking lot an additional half an hour after arriving after the stated "Ready TIme", I rushed home to a hungry family, only to find that I should have known to check--they messed up the order AGAIN. Overall, its a great place to order from if you don't actually want something specific but would rather let the restaurant pick what you get, and if you prefer to wait unreasonable amounts of time for your mystery meal. read more

Not really impressed with this place. Have tried it several times trying to give it a chance and every time it has been disappointing. The chicken has a very slimy almost uncooked texture to it, flavor is very bland and other dishes I have tried appear to have been set out on a warmer for quite some time. Lin's is a cut above but not extraordinary. The presentations are very good, the sushi is spot fresh with a flare not found in an ordinary sushi houses. I started with an Angry Bird roll which was well presented but lacked the heat promised in the menu. For the entry I had the Thai Spicy Mango Shrimp which again lacked the expected heat but I was able to add some hot oil to spice it up. The real disappointment was my gin and vodka martini - I told the waiter "NOT DIRTY" but I guess he didn't understand and added olive juice with limes! He remade it without the olive juice and limes and it was fine - guess I should've asked for saki! I'll be back for the good food, presentation, service, and atmosphere - I'll just make sure to tell them "hot" and stick to saki. read more

I came in with my son for dinner. He ordered chicken udon and I ordered Mongolian beef. I was very disappointed when mine came and it was 90% vegetables 10% meat. With a little bowl of rice on the side. I'm not even going to bring up the fact that when we first arrived we stood up at the front for almost 10 minutes before anybody even noticed us and they weren't that busy. The food is great, but every time we go, the tv is showing something questionable. We just try to shield our toddler's eyes, but today it was just too much. It was a complete blood/gore fest. Literally, people were covered in blood, there was constant shooting, and it was just incredibly inappropriate. They had just opened, so I know they saw what was on when they turned the tv on. We won't be back, which is unfortunate since we like the food. It makes no sense to me why they would have that kind of material on the tv while people are eating. read more

Beautiful sushi spot! All the sushi rolls are amazing and they use minimal rice which I love! The baked mussels were good but they put eel sauce on top which is different from most places. I always have to ask them to leave the eel sauce off and just use spicy mayo. They give you a generous portion for the soups as well which is awesome! I would definitely come back. read more

Amazing service and food. We are a family of 5. My oldest had steak hibachi and my daughter had the kids chicken hibachi. Great portions and they loved it. My husband and I love sushi and we where excited to try different rolls. We had the Pearl, crazy Friday, monster roll, lobster roll and mango dancing. My youngest had spicy crab and California. We loved them all. Nice side rolls. No skimping here. Beautiful presentations as well. Price was a little cheaper than we are use too but still around 12-13 a roll for the bigger rolls but if you love sushi this is the place to go. read more

Had dinner again, hoping that time would change their shrimp tempura recipe. Alas, it did not. When cut across, the shrimp was 1/4" wide (accomplished by slicing the shrimp lengthwise and extended upwards to double its length) and with the panko flakes it came out to be an inch wide. I'll let this one be - its just too much panko for my tastes and will order something else next time. The good news is the martini was excellent, and good service and atmosphere. Food is wonderful. Service is supppper slow and completely inattentive. And not always accurate. And I should add, we are not pampered, fussy people. We sat at the table for 15 mins bf our waitress made an appearance from the back. Food came out promptly. But the server does not care to check on you after food comes out. The server never refills water. Or any drinks. So checking on your food etc never happens. It is almost as if a Japenese family decided to open a restaurant with zero knowledge of anything other than food. The waitstaff is clueless. A guy finally came by and we had to tell him food was missing. She never even wrote my order down. By this time I was annoyed and over it. But they did rush the order and got it out to me. My kids love the food here so unfortunately we will be back. And it was a good meal. But the service is unacceptable. I order for delivery from bit squad witch came on time and my order was correct. When I tried my sushi rolls I notice hair on the sushi rice on both rolls and little dust hairs to! I was very upset so I called them to replace my order witch she did and was nice about it and gave seaweed salad, but when trying to eat the rolls again they didn't taste good at all!
