We love sushi and didn't notice the last review here was many months ago. The owner/manager was very sweet & the atmosphere warm and cozy on a chilly night but it was down hill from there. Service was all over the place forgetting part of our order and adding extra items. Appetizers came out after half of the table had dinner, soup and salad that comes with dinner was skipped until we asked for it. The rolls were fine but chicken and hibachi rice were bland. Sushi was alright. Veggie & shrimp tempura was pretty bad. Oily & fried but almost no batter so ...not so tempura-y?? It wasn't horrible but not worth the time & $ to go back. read more

What happened? I was excited to try this restaurant and it has great reviews. Even someone in my network recommended it. We tried a lunch service today. I ordered the salmon roll box. The server was struggling with English so there was a bit of a language barrier. She made several mistakes with drink orders, order accuracy, and checking on us. The menus are poorly designed, offering "boxes"/lunch specials with no real description of what comes with it. I couldn't eat one of the dishes and had no idea it came with that component. Combine this with the language issues.. The salmon roll was NASTY! I've had sushi probably 100 times with no issue. The fish cut was very gnarly, it was fatty and had a bad consistency. It was so bad I was gagging trying to eat it. Hardly any rice, just a bunch of a bad cut of salmon. I didn't send it back to save face with my guests. I asked for extra ginger and got almost none. Love Sushi is an intimate, quiet little restaurant with great food and service! Our food came out quickly and was very fresh. The staff is super friendly and the food is delicious. All of their food is reasonably priced and their sushi tastes better than some of the more expensive restaurants in Greenville. read more

The staff is very friendly, but neither time I've eaten here, have I been "thrilled" with the food sadly. Specifically, the fresh ginger didn't seem so fresh and the soft shell crab in spider roll was kind of "(under)whelming". However my friend's rainbow roll was very fresh and tasty this past weekend. read more

This is a great new spot to grab lunch or dinner! Located at corner of Hwy 14/Woodruff Road, in shopping center with WhichCraft taproom, New York Butcher Shoppe and Big Lots. They do close for about an hour between 3-4pm to prep for dinner crowd but that's because everything is fresh and made to order! They have a table or two outside on a covered patio for outdoor dining and also have inside seating at the sushi bar as well as typical tables. The interior is kept darker with shades on the window which makes for a nice ambience and feels more like a sit-down restaurant than a quick takeout spot. We got a sushi lunch box which came with 8 pieces, edamame, sweet potato tempura, fried dumplings and salad. They have about a dozen rolls to choose from for the lunch box or you can do sashimi or sushi sashimi combo. The ginger dressing with the house salad was best I've had in a while! Also ordered the lunch hibachi with chicken and vegetables. The chicken was tender and flavorful, veggies perfectly seasoned and cooked, and the fried rice is delicious! We both loved the white sauce with the hibachi and wished we had asked for extra! Miso soup was also tasty and piping hot even after we got home with our takeout. read more

Finally a great sushi place close and within walking distance for me in 5 Forks on woodruff and route 14. I was skeptical when I saw the restaurant pop up by Hungry Howies but when I walked in immediately noticed it was the owner of my previous go-to, Sushi Asa. Very nice to see her and staff open a new place close. I got take out and it was as good or better than Asa. Can't wait to dine in next trip. read more

Welcome to the neighborhood!! As a sushi fanatic, I was very excited to try this new restaurant close to Five Forks. They just opened and I jumped at the chance to try their food. I ordered online for pick up which was very easy. Their menu had a lot of the same sushi we have come to know and love at other local places so we stayed true to that but added a few extras to try out. The sushi was very fresh and was in abundance! I love when you're getting larger pieces of fish and not overwhelmed by rice. The spicy tuna was delicious and a chunk of tuna rather than chopped pieces. The Orange Blossom roll was my favorite and again was perfectly proportioned. I highly recommend the Tuna Tataki which we got spicy. It wasn't too spicy but you can kick the heat up with a little wasabi. My husband Gyoza and fried scallops which were also fresh and tasty. He got a side of the fried rice as well and enjoyed that as well. Overall we were very happy with our meal and can't wait to go back to try more on the menu. Definitely give them a try! I wasn't going to get anything but sashimi, but their menu was diverse and appealing, so I ordered an entree and an appetizer. Portions of all were small but very fresh and flavorful. Sushi seemed to be smaller portions but definitely the freshest I've had in a long time. Service was excellent server was not hurried or preoccupied. Ginger dressing was phenomenal. Thought it was strange that we were the only ones in the restaurant in a Friday night but had read the good reviews and decided to try it anyways. The salad dressing tasted like mayo with imitation bacon bits. We ordered 4 rolls. Fish was warm, rolls were not tight, all crab was imitation. The foul taste of the fish lead to us taking only a few bites before we decided to leave. Wasn't worth the chance of getting sick. read more

Well another Greenville restaurant has hit it out of the park! This Love Sushi is phenomenal!!! I had just eaten a couple of months ago at a world renown sushi spot on an island far far away that has a bunch of hype around it and it was definitely good. But honestly from the ingredients to the presentation, this Love Sushi spot is SOLID and right up there with it. Highly recommend this little secret spot right off of Woodruff Road. read more

Let me start with my only complaint is that the menu and website offers no description of the different menu items, so I basically took a leap of faith and ordered something. It was great! I got a tuna roll box. I had no idea what it would come with and I was pleased to see it came a couple pieces of gyoza, tempura sweet potato, edamame, and a salad. The chunks of tuna were fairly large. There was a good ratio between the fish and rice. I will definitely return in the future. The inside was very cute and staff was friendly. read more

I eat sushi every week and it's my favorite food and as cute as the restaurant is and as sweet as the owners are the sushi is mediocre. You would think the sushi would be very good for the selection it gave. But that is not the case. I really don't know how this place stays in business. The costumer service is horrible they don't give refills until after you have paid the bill I guess it's because they are popping cans sodas pouring them in glasses. Also very tight place tables are very small and chairs are too. Not your typical place to dine. Place is very over priced quality of food is not fresh at all very slim chance that we will go back.
