So the food is mixed between really good and very bland, which is why they get a middle rating. The white rice is actually good. I know it's hard to rate white rice, but I love white rice and have standards to it. It has flavor and slight stickiness, which is my preference. The mapo tofu is generic like everywhere else. The sauce is not spicy and resembles the same brown sauce you find on other Chinese food. The tofu is great though - it's still soft instead of chewy. The ground pork tastes similar to the pork inside dumplings. The fried rice is super bland and could use salt. The crazy part is the pork pieces - they are AMAZING. They are on par with Texas BBQ. I work in the neighborhood and wanted to try a new place. I ordered through the yelp app and was originally told it would be delivered within the hour. I got the order 15-20 min later. So, I was super happy. The food was tasteless. I'm not sure why people would say the food is delicious. I ordered the chicken in garlic sauce lunch special. It was ok. Some of the chicken was not edible. Not big on flavor at all. I got the boneless pork. It was probably the worse I have ever tried. The egg roll was tasteless. The wonton soup was ok. The food was good. It may not be the best to you since taste is subjective from one person to another, but for my friends and I we thought it was good (You'll have to try it out to determine that for yourself). Service was also fast, and the restaurant is spacious. When my friends and I made a large pick-up order of about six dishes, it was completed and ready for pick-up between 10 to 15 minutes. When I went to pick up the order, the restaurant was empty, quiet and clean, and the transaction occurred smoothly. The cashier was also friendly as he greeted me and patiently waited when I called a friend to clarify something about the order. I thought that was very kind of him since some places will rush you or look annoyed at you for doing so. I attached some pictures of the menu as I noticed that the other pictures of it were from a few years ago. Also, you need to wear a face mask to enter the store (just like most places right now due to Covid-19). By the way, you can also ask them to quote a price of how much your order will possibly come out to if your order by phone. When my friend called, they quoted a price based on everything we ordered so far. (They seem a little surprise by the question, but they were polite about it.) Note that quoting doesn't mean it's the exact price, but it'll be close to the price that you'll be paying. I think when they quoted the price, it was more or less roughly the price that we ended up paying. The cashier also gave a lot of condiments with the order, more than the amount that my friends and I needed or could even use with our food. This delivery experience started off well. My order arrived earlier than expected and piping-hot. I was excited to try it! The food smelled pretty good when I first opened the large rectangular container and watched the steam pouring out. They definitely packed in a good amount of food in that container. Between those initial factors and the better than average Yelp reviews, I was hopeful that I had finally found a good Chinese food delivery option in Brooklyn. They are SO hard to find. But I should have known better, I've done the whole hopey-changey Chinese food delivery thing before. It always ends up in disappointment, heartburn, and that yucky taste in your mouth. However well this journey had begun, the food quickly disabused me of any notion that this was going to be some serendipitous discovery of a magical fast-food delivery unicorn. For my part, I made the mistake of ordering something that I rarely order - General Tso's chicken. This popular Americanized version of a non-existent traditional Chinese entree is both difficult to properly execute and gastronomically questionable for its thick sweet-sauce that likely includes 47 different types of unnatural sugars. I was not making a healthy choice here, in a multitude of ways. But hey, sometimes bad food can be so very good, right? I got the lunch special so it came with pork fried rice and an egg roll. The egg roll tasted oily and metallic on the inside. Two bites of that and I should have realized right then that mushiness was going to be a theme in that afternoons culinary experience. The chicken pieces used in the General Tsos were those extra-large chunks that inevitably get undercooked so you're left with that gross under done chicken taste/texture coupled with the soggy breading on the outside. (Why do so many places not realize that simply using smaller pieces of chicken that are cooked until the breading is slightly crispy helps prevent this off-putting texture/taste problem??) Sadly, the pork fried rice was also unremarkable, especially the chunks of oddly colored dried pork bits they threw in. (Full disclosure: I always find the lunch special pairing of pork fried rice with absolutely everything else on the menu to be odd. How did it become common-sense that people always want derivative prefab pork chunks in their lunch? Just seems odd to me.) So I was stuck in the dining conundrum that is the food delivery world. There is no easy way to rectify this situation. It's a bad WWE matchup. It's, "This Food Tastes Gross" versus "I Gotta Eat Something" - problematic analogy aside, there are no winners here. I went with trying to eat what I could using the 'picking' strategy. Even that failed. I felt myself becoming more grossed out with each successive bite. Alas, I threw out the twice bit egg roll and the last two-thirds of the container concoction. I had no choice, my stomach was turning on me like Ramsay Bolton's dogs. Maybe their other food is better, I'll probably never know, but this particular meal was Just. Not. Good. P.S. it should be noted that everything positive that justifies the 1-star rating was stated within the first paragraph. That's it. There were no other strengths. I can't even give them points for proportional provision of dining accoutrements - there were too many duck sauce packets, not enough soy sauce, 2 mini-napkins, and a plastic knife...no fork. Wow! A delicious, speedy, and cheap Chinese place in Bushwick that delivers--for free! So far, no catch! The food here TASTES fresh and of better quality than most of the delivery places in this area. I like how they don't over-salt or over-oil things like some places can. I personally have tried a couple soups, the steamed veggie dumplings, General Tso's chicken and General Tso's tofu (go for the tofu, trust me). My gf lives on Seneca ave and we havent had much luck with good Chinese food. The place she lives above is pretty bad. Tried Lins the other night and we loved it. Very good chicken and beef with broccoli (beef a tad tough tho) loved the fried rice. They have the dark grains and not that silly yellow spanish rice that alot of places in the area have. so our office ordered a huge order of food, one of the plates arrive with a huge chuck of glass inside. Although they refunded us for that one order I felt as though the entire order should be refunded. so when I called him he told me he had to take the food back. Love this place. It's now my go to Chinese food spot. I usually order the chicken and broccoli or shrimp and broccoli. The shrimp is jumbo size and really clean.
