I have been here twice. Its the best Chinese Buffet in town. Chinese buffets are usually small and dirty, not this one. I cant believe all the bad reviews. People say it's expensive. I wonder if they eat out much. The only changes I could see is having a self serve fountain station and a larger Ice cream stand. The food was hot and fresh. The selection was huge. Something for everyone. Recommendation I could make for the patrons, Don't pile your plate a mile high. The buffet isn't going anywhere. Paper plates and plastic ware. Ok not a problem. They want you to wear masks and gloves but the place looks unsanitary when too many people are there. Not covid-proof bathrooms. You have to touch too many surfaces. The food was mostly pretty good, but a little sparse with a large crowd. My wife had a coach canvass bag in the seat next to her and it got covered in black stains from something. $$$$ . Seats and tables are well worn. No way you can clean them very well. Lins is the worst experience they are using Dixie cake plates that are disposable and red 16 Oz disposable cups and plastic utensils. The buffet is 11.79 per person the drinks are 2.79 per person. The food was not cooked well the sauces are watered down. The service was not good. There were Flys all around the food and on the food in the buffet trays. I will not recommend this place to anyone nor will I be coming back here. For the 31.74 we payed it is not worth it. read more

I was far from impressed with this buffet. I would say that the aspects I give it high reviews were on having disposable plates (their regular ones still had food on them), plasticware, and disposable gloves. Lin's has been a great addition to the food community in Tucson. I really only have 1 complaint and I feel like it's been the same issue every time I've gone (more than 10x). The customer service is definitely a 2-3 on a 1-10 scale, 10 being amazing service. I've gone with just my SO and up to large groups of 15 people. The drinks are never kept up with and the servers all look like they absolutely hate their job. I've seen the same servers every time I've visited and they're constantly talking to each other and not paying attention to any help someone may need. This has been my experience for all times of day being first opening to just before closing. It's really sad because you want a great experience especially since there are so many workers. Well you know what they say, if you've been to one Chinese buffet, you've been to them all, right? Wrong! Except for in this case, as that saying is actually very applicable. This is about as run of the mill as low-tier Chinese buffets can get. But here's the thing, if you frequent Chinese buffets, you should know what to expect. Very average/sub-average food, somewhat crowded atmosphere, and awkward eye contact from accidentally gazing at the person on the opposite end of the aisle. It's pretty elementary. So if you're looking for something that isn't that, I dunno, go to Las Vegas or something, it's not here, what are you even doing. But if you come to Lin's fully expecting this, it really isn't that bad. The selection is surprisingly large even by buffet standards. There's an area that you can get grilled-to-order steaks that are hoooonestly above average. They have those ridiculously tasty Chinese sugar donuts which I always have with my dinner instead of dessert because my mom doesn't get to tell me what to do anymore. The service staff was very polite and friendly and my table's drinks were never empty. And to top it off my buddy got a full plate's worth of crawfish and went to town and as far as I know he's still kickin alive and well. If you're looking for an experience with a higher quality (and price tag) than your average Tucson Chinese buffet, give this place a try. If you're looking for something to knock your socks off with quality food, maybe give this one a pass. read more

Food is decent but they have a stupid system up front. One person cashing each customer out, then that SAME person seats the party, then returns to the register to do it all over again. Long, long, slow moving lines at lunch time (at ANY time, really) so make sure you have plenty of time because it is a sloooooow process (and very unnecessary and easily remedied). Sad. Not a good experience at all. Went to eat dinner and when we sat down with our plates at the table we saw 2 roaches on the table that crawled into my food. We hadn't even been there 15 min. When I asked to speak to the manager I had to wait another 10 minutes. We asked for a refund on our meal and he told us he had to speak to the owners. He returned and said all that he could do for us is refund my meal because the roaches were on my food. So the rest of the party that sat at the SAME table and that had the SAME food was out of luck. I came here to eat, which was fine, but they were kind of super busy which was also fine, but the issue was while I was getting my food and ice cream and whatever else I came back to the table and someone clean the table off. They took my keys off the table. They took all of our drinks and then seated someone else at my table and then when I told them, they clear the table off. They just said they were gonna go look for my keys didn't even ask if I was done eating or anything. I didn't get my drinks back nothing. So I ended up leaving really pissed off. especially if someone's car keys and drinks are still sitting there. Have been to many buffets all over the country and am pretty sure that this is the first one where I have ever paid before eating, maybe not but cannot recall a time before. The sushi was actually very tasty. The sashimi looked like it had been sitting out awhile and had gotten a little hardened so it is the only item that I bypassed. The various fried Asian chickens that they had were overcooked/soggy and lacked flavor. They have names for everything but the sushi and dessert sections, which is kind of strange. Still have no idea what kind of rolls or desserts I ate. Bit into a coconut thing and nearly threw it up, can usually smell the coconut but not on this little guy. The self serve ice cream is a bit sketchy and they are freaks about their soda (cannot imagine that being too big of an expense but who am I?) The lady was very attentive and kept my water full at all times so I gave her a nice tip. For $10.95+tax and tip, probably would not go again. Appalling!! Worst service I've experienced in years. Ruined my entire dinner!! During a 90-minute dinner my waitress didn't check in with me at all... not once. Twice I had to chase her down for a water refill... would have preferred self-service but that's just not an option. They were out of ice cream and said they would go get more in back. More than 10 minutes later finally brought some... there were 6 people waiting. THEN they were out of bowls and spoons. After all of that waiting the group found that it had been frozen too hard to scoop (they should have anticipated the need). Wait... wait... wait! Food and atmosphere were GREAT... but the whole experience was ruined by poor service. They ask to be paid up front or I would have just left. They ALSO ask you to tip up front if you use a card. I always wait to access service... then tip in cash. NO tip at all this time. In fact, they owe ME for putting up with all that. Hello, This is the 3rd time I go to Lins,the other two where just great! this 3rd time was omg,how do i explain!!!! the bathrooms were fitlhy the sinks had running water i had to go down under the sink area and turn the water knob off because the sink knobs where broken, all toilets had peee, none of them had toilet paper, the food was all empty on the trays, the food was all dryyy the employees where very disrespectfull one of the girls cursed us out and the Manager wich his name is Marcus he said maybe he gave us the wrong name, Not only that it was my 16 year old taking us to eat so we where very dissapointd with this dinner i wanted to get his money refunded and the owner avoided us for 30 min, and they said becasue the food was good they couldnt give my baby his money back,, I am very dissaponted with this reataurant, my baby works hard for his money, and for this to be trasshy like this he paid for trash ,pleaseee help my son get his 96$ back, please help this place be good again, it was really trashed. Orange chicken was rock hard almost broke my tooth. And that customer service was trash they look at you like your bothering them so I do don't feel comfortable asking for anything. I went in again one day about a month ago and I think it had gone downhill in that the selection was mainly pork cooked in various ways. No dumplings at all. I love this buffet. Great prices, clean, quick service, and lots of yummy choices - something for everyone. Food is mostly Chinese with the exception of sushi, enchiladas, and some American foods here and there. In my opinion the desserts are lacking (cakes look dried out, and I don't like how everyone reaches into scoop out ice cream. Wish they had a soft machine instead) but our family loves coming here. I personally always get the jalapeno chicken and noodles that are right beside it. My kids love the beef broccoli and chicken nuggets. My husband always gets the steak. read more

Awful. We had a reservation for 25 to 30 people and we had to wait for about 45 minutes or more, per Lin's staff there was not a table available. What is the purpose of a reservation? We were all seated down ready to eat when the waitress who was rude and with an attitude was asking us that there was a extra person who did not pay ,when I was trying to explained to her that everyone here had payed showing her the receipt, she insisted that we needed to payed. Hello everyone my name is sin an today I was accompanied with a horrific experience all together 8/27/23.... I was a regular customer of Lynn's for a couple years now... Today was different... As everyone who goes there knows that their are a lot of people under certain circumstances that cannot buy food.... My husband an I have helped out with what we can... whether its food or money. Today a handicapped woman with her service dog in her wheelchair walked in to eat. Mgt was asking her to go... not so rightfully because of dog as they first insisted. I was sitting down with my husband eating... As I noticed what was happening to lady. I felt very saddened because she was there to buy food just like us. So I stood up an offered her a meal to go. The prices were different an instead I told lady to get her food to go an I would pay for it so that there would be no problem an I could continue with my lunch. But things didn't look good for her because a little after I sat down a young man took her plate away from her as he was instructed an as I came an asked "who would do this? Young man denied he took anything while looking at his manager..." she then approached me with such a horrible demeanor yelling at me... after being yelled out a few times! I finally yelled back an demanded respect!!! Next thing her husband's came out an he started yelling at me saying "this my restaurant an she yell at my wife.... Another young lady apologized to me telling "they are not yelling at you...that's the way they talk. I replied "I feel sorry for you an people who work here being yelled at..." she stood at me with a stare that's says "I need to put up with this because I need my job"Again all of this could have been prevented by just letting me buy her food. But because she looked under privileged with medical issues.... It's a bad look for the restaurant... We came here for the first time and this place was by far the worse place/food I've ever had! From dirty to the food being flavorless! Their Sushi bar is a bit SCARY! Overall I would say Lin's Grand Buffet at the Tucson Marketplace in Tucson is okay. The servers are fine when it isn't super busy. I do have 1 complaint. WATCH YOUR Receipt because if you go in with 3 people and only 2 are eating, the cashiers don't pay attention and they ring up 3. And when you figure out why your bill was so big, and go back to get a refund, the Manager tells you that you talk to much and doesn't have time to let you explain. Then she interrogated me like I was a criminal wanting me to make sure I was right that the person who was the cashier was the one who rang us up., I am very sure and then was told the same cashier just came on, when I know very well she was talking to the other lady behind cashier counter before her shift. The manager wanted to know where we sat because she wanted to talk to our server and I told her then she demanded from the server where we were sitting because she can check the cameras to see whether 3 people were eating or not. The manager needs a break! She was yelling at everybody, and yeah I got my refund, and I told her this has happened 3 different times since the place was opened and she wanted to know why this only happened to me and not anyone else? I figured it was because of the attitude she used on me & my family. Sad really because I was all excited to have a buffet like this near my home and being on the committee to approve it back in 2015, and I had stopped eating there because the food lost it's par and to this day people still use their hands to get ice cream out of the little freezer. Little kids stick their hands in and eat it off their fingers. With the pandemic over, I wanted to try Lin's again, and it was good the first several visits, but after today, Im not sure we will go back. The food was just ok. Better than most buffets. The Mongolian was hands down the best. The sushi looks old and dry so I skipped it. Hubby got it and said it smelled and didn't eat it. He eats everything normally. So I was shocked. The Chinese food was just ok. It's like someone who is just an ok cook made it. Chinese fast food is a bit better. But this is defiantly not traditional. Discouraged that they had enchiladas next to the Chinese food. Lol Seating is a mess. Hostess didn't know if a table was available. So we had to stand in the middle of the restaurant while she looked to see if the people came back to the table. Even after we asked her for another table. She was short and really just ignored us. You know those moods you get in? Those, "let's just go to the buffet and stuff our faces until we can't move" kind of moods? If you're ever struck with that particular hankering, then Lin's in the place to fill your desires! It's got all your typical Chinese buffet standards: the roomy very decorated interior, a myriad of food options, a sushi/grill counter, and an attentive staff. Per usual buffet experiences, not all the food is a personal winner, but the variety of options are sure to strike your fancy with at least one or two things, you just have to experiment around and find your favorites. (I'm a sucker for the fried donuts and chicken skewers, myself.) Fresh food was put out multiple times during my visit, so the turnover is good and you won't have to deal with stale food. The only thing I'd change is that I wish they had an ice cream machine instead of scoop-your-own, because the ice cream was pretty hard to serve. Also to be noted is that you pay on your way in, so have those cards and cash ready! Overall, I left fat and happy and having found my new "buffet mood" place. read more
