To-go ramen container with cute customized artwork
    Alex J.

This is a review regarding an order via DoorDash, so it's limited to food review only. I was at my sister's this weekend in OV and we were craving ramen. I've driven by the spot at Campbell/Ft. Lowell but haven't gone in yet. The main thing is the food. We both ordered the tonkatsu ramen, and she got hers with added fried chicken, I got mine as is but also wanted an order of wings to try. Usually, I'm skeptical of to-go/delivery soup orders skimping on product but Toss didn't mess around. Aside from the container being cutely designed, it held a TON of delicious noodles, moist, perfectly chewy chasu, fish cake, green onion, and a well-done seasoned boiled half egg with plenty of flavorful broth. The broth contained chili oil and had a very heavy garlic presence, which I really enjoyed. It was super filling and we were very happy they don't skimp on delivery orders. I wanted to try the wings plain as we had Hot Ones sauces but I was blown away by how large, flavorful, and crispy the wings were. I can see why they specialize equally in both ramen and wings. Both are exceptional. Overall, we were very satisfied with the experience so I can only imagine dining in would be similar. This might be a new favorite go-to spot for ramen and bonus wings as I'll be sure to check out the Campbell location in the near future. 10/10.

    Fried chicken with honey sriracha

Interesting concept, decent food. Friendly staff. We had the gyoza (pork fried dumplings) which were some of best among the ramen houses. Fried chicken strips with honey sriracha dip, well fried, good flavor, nice sweet heat flavor. Both of our Raman bowls had good flavor, excellent flavor with a nice creaminess in the egg. We were not however impressed with the ramen in either bowl. Cooked al-dente which is ok but it seemed that they were store bought ramen noodles. The staff was very friendly. If I am in the area and looking for a ramen house I will stop back in. The ramen noodles get a 3.5/5. There are better out there, but Toss gets a nod due to the chicken, gyoza and the egg.

I've been wanting to try this out for a while so,.....we ordered the tonkotsu and chicken ramen. I asked about the size of the dish, which was good since the bowls are quite large and we ended up splitting the chicken ramen. We also ordered crab puffs. The puffs were filled with cream cheese and served with a sweet and sour sauce. Good but nothing extraordinary. Both ramens were good. The chicken was prepared well and moist. The service was excellent and the restaurant itself was clean and decorated with whimsical Japanese anime. They are very flexible if you want to change anything in your bowl. Next time I think I would like to try out their wings.

    Spicy tonkatsu ramen

I gotta say, I am a bit disappointed with this spot after coming here for the first time. I got spicy tonkatsu ramen. The broth isn't that bad and it's pretty spicy. The noodle, is terrible. As you can see from the video I posted, when I lift up the noodle, the whole clumps came up like lifting up a mop. This shows the noodle was not fresh and was either sitting overnight somewhere for a while or microwaved. Real ramen noodle should lift up smoothly and started falling if you don't hold the chopstick tight. Their noodle however lifted all up when I only grab a small part of the whole clumps. The noodle did not taste very good. The extra chasu that I paid $4 for a single slice is super skinny like a malnourished elder or a meat that has been starved. It is also very burnt as you can see from my picture. I don't like to eat burnt food since it is carcinogen. It looks as though it has been burnt in Arizona sun. I don't recommend getting ramen here

I am happy Toss opened a location on the Northwest side. There is something for everyone in my family at this restaurant and we've enjoyed everything we got. The desert ramen is my favorite ramen with the nice spice and citrus flavor. Tried the chicken sandwich and fries today and that chicken was delicious, juicy, well fried. The pickle and mayo were great as was the yum yum sauce. The waffle fries are crispy and flavorful. It was also when we first came for dinner around 6 but got busier while we were there. There isn't really seating for more than 4-5 people as it's a small place. Service is pretty quick and the decor has a variety of anime and Japanese artwork. As with every other restaurant, I do think they are a bit pricy but I do feel like the value for quality is worth it.

So happy to have you so close. Pictured here is a Toss Fried Chicken Combo, Spicy Tonkotsu Ramen, and Shrimp Shumai. Our food was to go and it was packed nicely. Go check them out. Cookie was so kind and definitely shared her passion for food. Ive been back three times since they opened. Order a large fried chicken and a side of rice if you want left overs. The Teriyaki sauce is perfection. Consistently amazing!! I have the magnets on my fridge which may not be a good idea for me, but a great idea for Toss! Looking foward to dining in as its a nice space. . Quiet and comfortable.

I came for the ramen and found my new favorite chicken sandwich! How do they make it so crispy and juicy? I ordered the spicy chicken sandwich, because I thought I should just to say I tried it. I'm so glad I did! The ramen was fantastic as well! The soft boiled egg stood out as particularly delicious. Usually it's just kinda there in Ramen, but this one was so flavorful! I had the Spicy Tonkotsu with thin noodles and regular Tonkotsu with "wavy" noodles. The flavor in both were amazing! The thin noodles were good, but I prefer the wavy noodles. Just personal preference. Good thing you can choose either for each ramen. The staff were friendly, welcoming, and helpful when asking questions about the menu and offering suggestions. I'm really happy they opened a location here close to home and work!

Unassuming little strip mall location with a casual, welcoming atmosphere. I was blown away by the friendly service! And equally impressed by the crispiest fried chicken sandwich ever! The ramen was great - we had both spicy and regular tonkotsu. The ramen eggs were perfect and the flavor was spectacular. Keep in mind that if you prefer wavy noodles or thinner wheat noodles to request your preferred noodle in your ramen. 5/5 stars, we WILL be back!!

I might just go back to this place cause it's so cheap and the desert Ramen is so spicy. My nose is running the whole time. I love that. It cleans me out. The service was good. The guy behind the counter was really nice. The Mexican cokes weren't overpriced and the ambience is what you would expect out of the strip mall. Because of fried chicken and Ramen, I got the desert Ramen because it has fried chicken in it, and it was really good. The noodles were slightly undercooked, but that didn't take away from it. I loved it.

I ordered the spicy chicken sandwich combo to-go from this place and wow it's just amazing. The server was really nice and the ambiance was very cozy!

    Spicy ramen

We loved Toss fried chicken and this new location did not disappoint! The food was delicious and the staff very very friendly! We both loved our ramen and chicken. But the fries! The fries are the best in all of Tucson! Do not skip the fries! And the yum yum sauce is a perfect pairing for them! The /only/ criticism I have for this place is that it is 110 degrees outside, and the ramen is nice and hot, but the ambient temperature inside the restaurant is also pretty warm. Not a great combo, I wish the AC could be turned down some. But that's a summer in Tucson problem. The food was still delicious! Will definitely be back :)

My friend got the regular and I got the spicy version. The photo may not do it justice but it might be the best chicken sandwich I've eaten. Soft, buttery bun, mayo, tangy pickles, and perfectly-breaded-and-fried chicken that wasn't undercooked, dry, or soggy and it was surprisingly juicy for such a big piece of chicken. The spice was fairly tame, it adds a kick but doesn't overpower or leave your mouth on fire--which I'm okay with. The spice seemed more cayenne/paprika based though I couldn't pinpoint the seasonings. If you're a spice-head I'd suggest adding buffalo or honey sriracha sauce. The inside is very spacious, with lots of cutesy Asian decor and an 80s J-Pop soundtrack. Service was friendly and decently-timed as their food is (clearly) made-to-order. To pull a 1-2 punch in both ramen AND fried chicken is an impressive move. I can't recommend this place enough for your next ramen or chicken sandwich craving and I'll for sure be back to try the wings.

Our poor waitress Alison was working HARD she had tables inside and outside and was really making sure we weren't neglected. We ordered our mocktails which were amazing and well priced compared to other places I've been. They have fresh baked bread with oil, garlic, Parmesan and she let us know bread should be out soon but we ordered an appetizer in the meantime of calamari which was cooked to perfection and it had an Asian spin on it which was really good. We then got our bread after the appetizer which was nice to munch on while we waited for our food. The short rib ravioli is my absolute favorite it's so flavorful, the sauce is rich and deep in flavor Pro tip- save some bread to wipe up the extra sauce. Desert was the lemon olive oil cake it was a tiny bit dry but it came with ice cream and buttercream and the mixture of everything made it all come together. I was a bit excited to try this. However, I understand now why it's the "best of Tucson". It's because it's literally the ONLY kbbq spot in Tucson. So extremely low bar. I have no idea how this place has so many positive reviews. I was not impressed for the amount of money. 40$/person is insane. I don't understand the menu at all. Why is it 40 for standard but if you want the good meet it jumps 10$ per person? I have never been to a kbbq like that. Let's start the review. -jap Chae was overcooked and way too much sesame oil -fish cakes were too sweet -kimchi was too bitter -corn cheese had too much cream or something. It tastes like a paste. -Ssamjang is extremely weird. It was liquidy. Ssamjang is not supposed to be liquid like since it is a fermented soy PASTE. It was not the right color and did not taste like Ssamjang. Ssamjang is usually a deeper color like a burnt sienna than whatever orange thing they gave me. -grill temp was all over the place -portion sizes were not good Full disclosure. I am Korean. I grew up eating Korean food and being surrounded by Korean culture. The japchae had too much sesame oil. If I can distinctly taste the sesame oil there's way too much. The fish cakes had too much sugar. The portion sizes I thought were small for kbbq. Maybe get two servings out of one order. Also when the grill was initially turned on, it was so hot that our first round of meat pretty much instantly burned due to temperature and the meats were thin. Thank goodness the staff didn't charge us for the left over burnt meat. I'm serious it was CRUNCHY. Also personal take here. At this restaurant I didn't see any Asians on the staff. At kbbq usually you see Asians or Koreans working. I saw no Asians working. So I thought to myself if a Korean speaking person came here the would be in trouble unless the knew English very well. I'm a little concerned about if the owner is even Korean? You might not think it matters but it does. They know how Korean food is supposed to be. Some good things. The galbi wasn't bad. It was the short rib with bone which isn't my preferred form of galbi but it was still good and not too sweet. The pop corn chicken was so good. They give a chunk of beef fat to grease the grill in the beginning which I appreciated. Strip loin was good. Although it was basically a chunk of meat you toss on the grill and cut yourself with scissors. The spicy pickled cucumbers weren't bad and tasted normal. That's about it though. I would never come back here due to the price absolutely not equating to the quality. The staff very nice. But not nice enough to save the food. This place I would expect more 20-25$/person than anything. Not 40$! If the kbbq place absolutely was redone different story.
