It was very fresh and great for what it was which is a Chinese buffet. The whole restaurant was clean, cool, and an overall great environment. Looks can be deceiving! Building looks nice especially in pictures. Extremely expensive for a buffet so I expected a high quality meal and great service. $46 for 2 adults and a child. The grill in the back was not being manned and it was pretty tough to get an employee to help. After getting someone to man the grill and cook, the flavor was good but the noodles were stale and chewy. The sushi was old and hard and seemed unsafe to eat. Overall quality of each food item was below average or worse for this style buffet. Our daughter loves Chinese food and she did not enjoy any of the usual items she eats to include the lo mein, chicken on a stick, orange chicken, all difficult items to screw up. Went there recently w/a group of 16 & all of us enjoyed this huge restaurant w/many choices @their buffet. I especially enjoyed the clams w/black bean sauce & the baby octopus. oh man I love this place! Went here for a work lunch and was able to get out the door in an hour. The wait staff was very attentive to drinks and refilling them as necessary. The price was well adjusted for the lunch hour ($10) and the food selection was outstanding! They have a Mongolian BBQ section as well. Across the way from Planet Fitness... never a good idea to go to an All-U-Can-Eat buffet after a workout! But it's been a month since I have been to the gym (another story for another time)... so today was my first trip to this place! The hostess was pleasant and smiling... great variety of food which I thought was very yummy... I ate A LOT! After striking out on my first Tucson Chinese Buffet experience, this place was a breath of fresh air. I took my in laws here on a Sunday afternoon and the waiting area was packed, to my surprise we were seated within 10 minutes. The staff works hard to turn tables quickly and there is always a fresh dish being changed out on the buffet. This place has all the Chinese buffet classics, (e.g. general tsao's, fried chicken wings, beef and broccoli) all of which were executed masterfully, as well as a sushi bar, Mongolian grill and steak cooked to order. The staff is friendly and continuously refreshing all the food stations. The sushi is made right before your eyes and is among the best in town! This was my first (and probably, last) trip to Lin's. I was under the impression it had lots of American food, as well as oriental. I suppose the name, "Lin's" should have been a dead give-away. Actually I didn't pick it -- a relative did and we agreed to go with them. First the good. Beautiful, inside. Appeared to be clean and our waitress was very attentive. Now the bad: The selection of food wasn't to my liking, but again, the name would be a dead give-away, in retrospect. The tables are too close together. It's hard to get up and down without bumping into the person's chair behind you at the next table. It's fairly loud. The ranch dressing was about the same consistency as water. With a little mortar between the biscuits you could make a wall in your garden. I can't describe how hard and dry they were. I won't be returning, but in fairness I'm a meat and mashed potatoes kind of guy. I definitely didn't think it was worth the $28.00 + for my wife and me; and that's with the senior discount. The food was great! I gave it 3 stars because aside from good food I believe in good service. The files need to be told to treat customers with respect. We had already paid and realized we did not have cash on us for tip. I asked our waitress how could we still pay with our card? She asked for our receipt and took it to the girls in the front desk, one of the girls from the front desk yells out at me HOW MUCH DO YOU WANT TO LEAVE FOR TIP!? Infront of everyone!!! I told her: Can you bring me the receipt! When she got to our table I told her: I am not going to yell out the amount! That is so disrespectful and unprofessional. Instead of her apologizing she justified and said because I decided to give the tip afterward now they have to fix the receipt and that is why she was asking for the amount. Love this place over a 100 different foods there's something for everybody from French fries chicken And enchiladas They have fresh sushi Mongolian bar and a guy making stakes for you to all kinds of different types of Chinese food. Needless to say there is something for everybody. This is one place that we can enjoy with the kids where they actually eat the food. While I appreciate the lengths the staff are going through to keep everyone safe, my lunch experience was all but satisfying. The whole restaurant being served by only one server, who took customers around the buffet tables, meant that after 45 minutes, I had had a plate of some kind of chicken in sauce and some very tough meat, which I was unable to chew. The wait was very quick despite being very busy, you pay first and then wait to get seated. The price is good for what they had $12.59~ per adult night time. (3 adults came out to be $38.13~ with water after taxes, it seems that there is a special, two for $22.68) (Tip is not included when you pay at the front) Cutting to the chase, for the Seafood section: There ARE clawfish and green mussels, shrimp, sushi. There are NO crab, oysters, lobster, and you guessed it clams. (Would not mind paying more for these options) Sushi could of been much better, one of the rolls are questionable, the roll consisted of thin carrots slices, cucumber and cream cheese. Some of the sushi had to much fish where as some don't. Sadly non of the raw fish rolls had cream cheese in them. They have a Mongolian grill where you can pick what you want to be cooked. They also cook your steak to your liking as well on a grill. The selection they have for entrees is more than other buffets in Tucson. Some of the entrees like chow mein, noodles, orange chicken, etc is just like any other buffet. Some of the food they had are too salty like the fried batter fish. The fries and chicken wings were good. They also have an ice cream section as well. The waiters seemed to be friendly and came often around to collect plates and give refills. Only thing that stood out were the two dirty stained plates I picked up.
