However, one day his baseball game was rained out. I contacted them on IG to see if we can just drop in for one session. They promptly replied with "sure just come on down". I'm glad we did. My son has been involved with organized sports (baseball, basketball, soccer, Jiu-Jitsu) since he was 4 years old. We've seen some good sports programs, and some poorly ran ones. Coach Verne and his team run a top notch program. Professional in every way. Not only did my son learned new skills from just that one session, he also had lots of fun. He even came home with free socks and other goodies! I can definitely tell that the staff enjoys what they do and it shows on their faces. If you're looking to introduce your kids to basketball don't hesitate to sign up. I heard they're also starting a soccer program too. Look out for that. When I tried to sign up it signed my son up for an August camp instead of the June class I had selected. The owner Jen then tells us we cannot switch and charges us a mandatory $50 cancelation fee. There is something really scammy going on here. How can you sign us up for an August camp in the middle of my sons school day then not let us switch to something that we are actually available for? If you look at the website there are entire unhinged paragraphs about charging $50 fees, which apparently gives the owner the right to scam you out of $50. When you talk to her on the phone she is also incredibly hostile and rude. Please save yourself the headache of getting scammed and choose another soccer school, there are plenty of other options out there

I must admit I felt intimidated knowing she is a competing LPGA pro. But armed with my desire to improve my golf game I scheduled a lesson. Christie put me at ease right away and before I knew it I was answering her questions about my goals and the problems as I saw them, the things that I enjoyed about the game, what my priorities were, where I thought I was in the process and where I wanted to go. What makes her a really great coach is that she is an expert at getting inside of one's head where the real game of golf is played and begins her teaching there. Christie is very skilled at helping me to define MY best swing that will allow me to play my best golf. That includes recognizing the things I do well and the things I do less well. She uses her iPad to record my swing and then we review it together. She also has a golf bag filled with a lot of odd learning tools....but it works! She is patient. She is able to break things down and explain them in a way that I can learn and relate. Christie knows all the moves, knows the techniques and can demonstrate them all. She knows all about the equipment and the rules and how to strike the ball that is plugged in the bunker...heck, she competes on a professional level. But for that hour that she spends teaching me how to play the game...she makes it all seem so simple. Seriously, I am becoming a golfer. Working with Christie during my Duffer's Series, 5 Lessons was a learning experience I will never…read moreforget. Initially, Christie asked me a variety of questions. I learned these questions allowed her to determine how best to communicate with me to achieve my desired goals. Christie's use of this information allowed me to clearly understand concepts and strategies. (I hate it when people talk to me in their terms and I am supposed to understand). I valued that detail. Christie's extensive experience, and training in playing and teaching golf is obvious. Our sessions were fun and varied, yet focused. We not only used golf clubs, we used a rope, pool noodle, and my favorite a racquetball racquet to demonstrate and understand concepts. Christie used her I Pad to video and review certain aspects of our sessions. She explained and showed me my balance is my biggest saboteur. She sent me video to make sure I reviewed and understood what she saw. Christie modified my stance, grip and my swing plane...darn near everything except my putting stroke. I learned putting challenges. Christie also offered several ideas to reconstruct my psychological approach to the game. Her professionalism, encouragement, insight, and patience were key in my looking forward to practicing and attending each session. Since my final lesson, concepts are easily remembered and applied.
