This is the first time I've ever written a review for a gym but this facility is too good to not…read moregive it the recognition it deserves! Rise Gym has a commercial gym side, a powerlifting side, and a strongman side. In the commercial gym, there is an upstairs and a downstairs section. There's already plenty of treadmills and cardio machines downstairs but there's even more in the upstairs area as well as a section for kids to play in. Not to mention, there is a supplement store where you can shop for protein, preworkout, vitamins, healthy snakcs, etc. so I thought that was pretty neat! As a powerlifter, Rise Barbell is hands down, the best place to work out. The powerlifting side just opened this summer and I cannot thank the owner Dr. Sean for providing such an amazing facility for me to train at before I competed at Raw Nationals this year. There are plenty of brand new TSS combo racks and barbells as well as new Rogue Kilo/pound plates. There's also many deadlift platforms as well as one olympic weightlifting section. Aside from that, there is a long strip of turf that separates the powerlifting section from the machines for body builders. Speaking of body builders, there is a posing room so that's another big plus! Inside this building, there is also a Physical Therapy section run by Dr. Sean. Oh yeah, did I mention there's AC too? I've visited numerous powerlifting gyms in the Houston area but none of them had AC so I appreciate how I'm not drenched in sweat just from walking into a gym. Aside from the amazing facility, the staff and trainers here are incredibly kind. I appreciate how they helped host/run fun events for members to participate in! Overall, the amount of hard work and passion that the owners and workers put into this gym speaks volumes. Honestly, I could go on and on as to why this is the best gym I've ever visited but I hope everyone gets to experience working out at Rise Barbell.

There could be more attention to cleaning of equipment from staff or cleaning services in both the rise gym and barbell. The main door entering rise has been seen multiple times with handprints smudged all over and dust on equipment. I do appreciate the cleaning products and towels to clean off instruments after use, however during non peak times there are no towels available. Not sure who to let know regarding this, but will change my review once I see this area addressed.

April was our instructor and we had a small class of 4 people. Classes are held in the pool. I was a little scared of falling in the water and everyone did at one point but we mostly stayed on the boards doing the various yoga poses. The class was about 50 minutes long and very well worth the cost of 45.00. We were able to tighten the tether to keep the boards from shifting so much during class. They offer other dates and times and also Pilates.

I first joined Lifetime fitness in Atlanta GA 2014 and enjoy haircuts, hair color and blow outs at Lifespa. Since I move around the country with my travel and contract lifestyle it made sense to keep my services for hair cuts & color at Lifespa at Lifetime Fitness, instead of finding a salon in every city I move to, that can cut & color my hair. I have been to Lifespa for services to cut and color my hair in GA, VA and TX. Every time I went to Lifespa the service went well and the hair stylists were always professional and kind. Worth every penny. Today I was treated so poorly by AB a hair stylist and colorist at Lifespa Fitness in CYPRESS TX with 14 years experience. She refused to do my service and humiliated me infront of other customers. Six weeks ago she colored my roots, cut my hair and blew it out. She advised me to book a root touch up, gloss & face framing cut at check out and schedule it before my birthday brunch. I took her advice and scheduled it the day before my 51st birthday brunch. Today was my appointment the day before my birthday brunch tomorrow. She walked up already in a bad mood. The traffic had me 15 mins late. I apologized for my delay. Maybe she was feeling over whelmed because the time I was scheduled for my service was 4pm and it was going to take time. She could have been more polite and professional. She sat me at her station and started dry cutting my hair pieces around my for face framing with a razor. The ends of my hair she was cutting with a razor look like split ends. I spoke up and asked can she use scissors because that makes my hair look like split ends. Which is a problem with my thick hair. Point cutting also makes my hair look like split ends. We had this conversation at my last appointment with her. She mixed the color but did not start to deposit it on my root. She was offended I asked her to use scissors instead of a razor. Instead of being accommodating she refused to do my hair and pushed me to leave. I explained to her tomorrow is my birthday brunch and you said you would take care of my hair the last time I saw you. I asked will you at least do my roots and a blow out. She refused. I was so humiliated. I saw her 6 weeks ago. She was so nice, talkative and fun. Today she was horrible. There was NO MANAGER on site to speak to about this horrible humiliating treatment. Be Cautious.
