This is a very clean gym and all the employees are incredibly nice and friendly. Its also never overly crowded.

Almost every single morning there is nobody at the front desk, you can't use any black card services if nobody is there to turn it on. The owner of this franchise needs to have someone on the desk at all times. Not a sign written in sharpie that says cleaning. There are actually 2 guys this morning and both were not there. The people that work here are solid, but being understaffed for 2 weeks solid is an ownership issue. Being cheap on labor always causes problems for businesses long term. Maybe its time for another gym to pop up in this area. If its similar, but fully staffed I'm done with Planet Fitness. read more

I always have a problem at this location. I drive 30 minutes out of my way to go to another planet fitness that has working ac and has more options for machines. Also, there is always a severe lack of communication with the staff; every time I ask a question, they don't seem to give a direct response. It seems they don't care to work there, so I'm glad I have a black card membership because I don't have to come here even though it is the closest location to my home. read more

The new staff you have is very rude and the management will call you if you leave a survey with less than a nine to tell you to change it to a nine so cooperate will get on her. She is a poor manager if you do a survey and you rate the reason why you think the store at 8 it's because the front employee was very rude at the time over a bottle of water that I was going to pay for regards of what is on $1.25. I am currently pregnant and I went in to cancel my membership before my next payment was to be taken from my bank account. An employee "KJ" was very nice and helpful, she informed me that I would normally be charged since it was after the 10th but her system was allowing her to override that and that I would not be charged! I said great thank you. I received a receipt via email stating that my membership and club access was terminated on 10/16/2024 and I would incur no other charges, a $0 balance. On 10/17/2023, I was charged for a membership once again. I called the club and THOMAS was incredibly rude, I kindly explained the situation to him and he told me that "KJ" was a liar and that she was "new" so she didn't know what she was talking about, he also stated he couldn't help me, told me I was wrong about what the receipt THEY SENT ME said and continued to get an attitude and raise his voice to me when I asked to speak to a supervisor. He told me speaking to a supervisor would "do nothing for me" and said it was "too bad because I signed a contract". Obviously he doesn't need to be working in customer service as I've never encountered someone so blatantly rude. I was planning on renewing my membership after delivering my baby but now I will absolutely not be. read more

They advertise on-site and everywhere else how easy it is to cancel with no further obligations, but the reality is quite different. Even during Covid and during an illness that made me home-bound, Planet Fitness refused to accept cancellation by phone, email, and mail, and even bounced a registered mail cancellation. When my partner finally went on site to force a cancellation, they made him sign a form that said that they could still charge fees after cancellation. When he refused to sign it without a voice-recorded verbal statement that there would be no further charges, the disk clerk refused to give his name or that statement. Very nice and quiet gym! I love how clean it is here. I'm a black member and used the hydro massage and their massage chairs for the first time! Amazing! I wished I did this before!!! I love the hydromassage bed! It heats up while the water is pounding along my backside. The massage chair takes coins, so you have to ask for the coins in the front. 3 mins/coin. I got 4 coins and I'm in heaven! My hubster is my guest! He's working out hardcore while I am enjoying my black card spa today! I don't tan but if I did...this would be the place to do it! There are plenty of cardio equipments as well and weight lifting equipments! I'm glad I signed up for the black card cause now I can go everywhere in USA and use their facilities! Very nice front desk team members! Helpful! There's also free wifi but you have to ask for the password! It's very very hard for a gym to get the 5 star on my first go around. This place is fantastic. Nice locker rooms with plenty of room. 30 minute circuit. Some new machines that aren't at the other clubs. Looks awesome. 12 minute ab circuit - not as many machines as steeplechase but nice. Huge variety of machines. By far the largest location I have been to outside of Rochester Ny. Everything about this gym is brand new and awesome. Feels more welcoming than the other gyms. I feel it has to do with the new lighting here. I have yet to checkout the black card area yet but believe me I will. I'm impressed with how the gym looks and feels. It's not about 5 and its filling up, but seeing as its new and there are still New Years resolutioners here it's to be expected. (To those still doing their resolutions keep it up. Don't quit.) Staff is welcoming but I think they're still working out the opening bugs. Will be squashed in no time. And get a black card folks. I use mine all the time to get variety at gym. I started a membership 4 years ago. Shortly after I had a job change and started working out of state. I tried to call and cancel my membership over the phone, but was told I had to give the request in person. For 4 years I've paid for a service I couldn't use! Then today I showed up, in person to cancel. The manager Lora was not helpful and would not give me the owner or management information because you guessed it... a policy! When I first walked in to sign up for my membership, I was a little hesitant about the Black Card. It seemed like a little wasted money, but Liz certainly sold it when she explained the TBE machine to me. I deal with chronic pain due to multiple injuries to my wrist. She told me how the unit has helped her with back issues, so I was sold on it. It helps immensely with the pain and swelling I suffer daily. The counter staff has been constantly helpful and friendly, always willing to help out in anyway they can. Karli, Gabby, and Destiny are truly top-notch staff. I enjoy coming in daily to their smiling faces and asking how the day has been going, etc. Perhaps the best part of the investment I've made at the gym is the personalized training plan and workout classes with Danielle. She was very helpful in setting up the plan and was eager to accommodate the chronic pain issues. The energy and positivity she brings into the rooms when she teaches class is contagious and makes even the most difficult of exercises and sessions breeze by. She is a great source of encouragement on those days when I am dragging and don't really feel like working out. I appreciate having the support in the gym, especially with the steep goal I have set for myself. If I had one complaint, it would be the music. I don't know how people can get motivated to work out to poppy music. It's distracting at best. If I had one request, I would ask that the trainers, or even members, working in the isolated areas like the PF 360 or 30 Minute Circuit be allowed to bring in their own music, kept a reasonable volume, to have some good music to pump to. read more

I started a membership 5 years ago under no commitment no contract and quit coming here. So 5 years later they let me start a new membership and are continually charging me for past due over 5 years and won't let me cancel my current membership without paying the past due charges. They are screwing people and stealing from them and the manager won't come out of her office to talk to me. read more

This is the most well kept PF I've been to.......by far. The owner is always there with a smiling face ready to help any way she can. The staff is very polite and friendly and ALL of the machines function as they should. Even when something breaks, it's not broken for long. It does get very busy in the evenings for obvious reasons, but there's plenty of cardio equipment and everyone seems to work with one another cycling through the machines and what not. Black card member here. I used to work out at 24 Hour Fitness. I am not a small person by any standards, but there were a lot of steroid poppers at that place! The testosterone levels in that place were unmeasurable! The times I saw aggressive behavior in there were way too many!Planet Fitness is much more laid back with a friendly atmosphere. I enjoy working out without all the drama from narcissistic lunkheads. The staff is friendly and the place is probably the cleanest gym I've ever been in, even the showers and locker rooms! This is a really nice gym, especially considering what it costs. The staff is great. They're available when you check in or if you need anything. The equipment is new and works great. They keep everything really nice and clean. It has everything you need to get a good workout and it really feels as they say that you're not being judged. When you look around you see a little bit of all kinds of people at all levels of fitness. We have the black card so we have access to the hydro massage which is well worth the extra money. My only real complaint is that they don't have AT&T Sports net. I like to work out while I watch the Astros and Rockets, but according to the staff there they don't have that channel. read more

I have been going to Planet Fitness for more than a month now. I normally go in the afternoon, around 5:00 when I get off work. I'm here to submit an honest review of my gym experience, from beginning to end. I originally came to this gym as a "guest", my best friend had a black card membership and she was allowed to bring me. As a guest, I enjoyed the massage chair and hydro massage beds. Recently, I got my own membershit and brought my little sister with me. Unfortunately we were told that since she was not a card holder, she could not access the hydromassage beds. I guess some of the front desk people allow guests to access the beds, some do not, it all depends on who you get. Personally that's one of the main selling points I use to invite people to come with me to the gym. My grandmother has even said she would come to try out the hydromassage beds, and possibly get a membership. In my opinion it would be smart for them to allow guests the use of the hydro massage beds but I'm not the boss. Lol When I went to sign up, I was told that I needed a blank check so they could access my routing and account numbers for my checking account. I have my numbers memorized and offered to give them to her then, but she insisted that I bring a blank check. I don't understand why they do this, because people who sign up online do not have to provide a blank check for them to verify the numbers. At least, my friend didn't when she signed up. Either way, I brought a check the next day, she verified my numbers and then gave it back to me. Pretty smooth process. When you get a membership they are supposed to take your picture but they are rather lenient about that as well. I was PMSing when I first signed up and had a bad case of pizza face. I worked with a few different people, who all understood and allowed me to postpone taking my account picture until I was over my breakouts. When she finally took my picture, I said "That's not the most flattering, lets take another one because I think I was looking away" and she let me take a second, better photo that we were both satisfied with. The front desk people have never provided anything but excellent service to me in my opinion. The first time you tan, they restrict you to something rediculous like 5 minutes. I have no idea why they do that. I have been tanning for years now and I know how long I usually go and also when to get out. She said it was because their beds had just gotten new bulbs, which I suppose I understand, because the first time I tanned I buned my eyelids. The face panel does not play! Lol. Very pleasant tanning experience except it seems like they have a lot of people who tan (especially Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday) and when I try to tan on those days I normally have to wait for them to clean a bed. It's never an inconvenience just something worth noting. When I signed up, even though I had already attented that facility before, I was still given a full tour of everything from the hydro beds to the massage chairs and tanning services, then into the dressing room. This facility in Tomball, Tx has a dressing room with lockers, showers, and several bathroom stalls. I have never seen someone shower there but I don't see a reason not to - the showers have curtains and are of good size. My favorite feature is the water bottle filling station, you put your bottle in front of a sensor and it dispenses purified water. This is great for me because I don't have to drink from the water fountain during my workout or carry around a full 32 oz bottle of water every day. I will advise that if you are looking to join, try it first on a Friday, Saturday, or Sunday. Those are the least busy days. Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday are definitely the busiest. Going on a less busy day will give you time to ask any questions you may have and get to see all the equiptment. It's also quieter and less intimidating for new peopole. I had previously gone to Montgomery County Gym, but it was really out of the way for me. I disliked it for many reasons, but this was the main one - When I would run on their treadmill, it's like I was too heavy and the treadmill mat would stop. I constantly felt like I was going to fall. I was forced to use one of their other machines (they have a very limite few) which normally meant I had to go in the middle of the night. At planet fitness, there are SO many machines. They are all new and well maintained. I have never had a problem with any machine or person in this gym. I have had nothing but pleasant experiences here. They have more machines than other gyms. They have newer machines than almost every gym I've ever been to. They have many machines I've never seen before, and I've tried several gyms. For a beginner like me, they have pictures on the machines that shows you what you're supposed to do. This is a very very very good facility and I encourage everyone to give them a try! read more

We joined Planet Fitness to regain some strength after health issues including a Kidney Transplant. The people are very nice and everything has been as expected. There are all kinds of people, all sizes, all shapes, and all ages. I have talked to people that were up in age with joint replacements and in need of joint replacements. There are also young people working out. Even one of my doctors has joined a different Planet Fitness near her home. The machines are great and clean. There are always people there when we go but, there are plenty of machines to use so it is not crowded. The decor has been replaced, even though it was fine. It is nice to go to a place where everyone is not perfectly fit and everyone feels welcome. read more

Other than the lurkers on the 30 minute circuit, seriously there are stationary machines you can spend as much time as you want at move along ladies, I have been very impressed with the quality of the machines, the locker rooms are great, I've never found anything dirty, and The staff are pleasant and helpful. Dead cheap for the price lots of different options for changing it up. I wish there were more locations around but since I looked into it a year ago they have added so many different ones so I assume they're still expanding in this area and maybe they will get more in time. I do miss the classes maybe a little Zumba or aerobics to get you pumped up but for the price I can do that in my living room. I don't want to hear one word about how many mistakes I've made in this review too I know darn good at grammar. read more

What a great place. It can be a little bit expensive. But you catch them whenever they're having a special to join, it's perfect. I am completely upset with this Planet Fitness location. I am someone who liked to go in and do the 30 minute circuit. Every time I go in there there are people in the back taking up the machines doing sets. There are signs that state that that area is for the 30 minutes circuit only. And that it is monitored by staff regularly. What a joke! Nobody monitors it and every time I complain I am the bad guy. Today when I politely told somebody I was doing the circuit and that the machine she was on was going to be my next machine she lied on me to the management and said I was rude to her when I was not. A staff member then approached me and told me they had had many complaints about me which is a blatant lie and flat out told me that I was in the wrong. What part of "only"on the sign do they not understand? The staff member was completely rude and unprofessional and called me a bitch in not so many words. On top of that half the TVs have not been working for several weeks. The water fountain always goes down and there was a machine on the circuit that has been down for at least two weeks. I have canceled my membership and we'll go to a real gym!! read more

Tonight I visited this pf location because I was in the area... Upon arrival I was told that I had to take a picture for my account.. I told them that I looked horrible and just wanted to workout and that my home gym that I've been going to for 9 months never asked me to take a picture. The young men at the front desk continued to insist that I took a picture...then one began to say that I could go and workout but if "Rosa" was there she would've kicked me out for not having a picture. I pay $20 a month to be threatened to be kicked out of place that I pay to go to because I wouldn't take a picture right then. I told them my home gym was the Cypress location and the worker made an odd face and basically said that the Cypress location wasn't a good gym. Too much drama at this gym. The equipment is in excellent condition, and everything is always clean. They have paper towels and spray to clean the machines when you are finished, and I've notice that most people do this. Its usually not crowded at all. I've never had to wait for a machine. I don't use the locker room because I live 2 mins away, so I can't speak to that area. The only critique would be that people tend to congregate by the free weights, and there isn't enough space for everyone over there, so I haven't been able to use the free weights. They need a larger area for free weights, or maybe 2 areas to work with them. Employees are nice and helpful. read more
