Good place to grab a beer or cocktail when staying at the Desoto. Super friendly bar tenders and good beers on tap!

Even though the kitchen was already closed, she went out of her way to make sure I was able to get something to eat. She didn't have to do that--it was simply an act of genuine kindness. Great bartenders don't just pour drinks; they make people feel welcome, cared for, and seen. Farah did exactly that. Her positive attitude, willingness to help, and exceptional customer service made all the difference. If you're lucky enough to have Farah taking care of you, you're in great hands. Thank you for going above and beyond!

This pub was about a 10 minute walk from the Residence Inn so not bad at all. We arrived a little after 9:30pm and the place was busy in the bar area but plenty of seating in the dining area. We were immediately greeted and able to secure a spot within 2-4 minutes of arriving. You can tell this is a place where visitors patronize but there are also locals who were familiar with the bartender and had history. The bartender was lively and said whatever you want to drink if I have the ingredients I can make it. Old speckled hen and tenets on tap but no other English beer options. More of a variety of Irish beers. If you are seeking your traditional fish and chips as my lovely partner was this is not the place as they do not have fries, anything battered or fried on the menu. We ordered a open faced pot roast sandwich to share and it was a generous portion, meat was tender, gravy was tasty but if expecting roast in the sense of carrots, onions, parsnips this was just meat and gravy. However, I truly enjoyed it and the mashed potatoes were not instant and very tasty and filling. We felt welcomed, cozy and they were thorough on ID's which I appreciated. If ever in the area again we would return as they stayed open until midnight.

Out of town visiting random places and this popped up nearby. I went 50 mins before closing (ik,…read morethat's crazy but i was hungry). I sat at the bar but I read they have a rooftop as well. Bathroom is located on the bottom level (kinda scary down there when the lower level of the restaurant isn't open). Good part, the food was piping hot and fresh. I got 24 Rockafeller Oysters and the Spinach Dip. Both of them were so good. The oysters were plated a lil sloppy but they were good nonetheless. The spinach dip had a thick cheesy crust on top and the pita chips were hard but still went well with my oysters and spinach dip. I also got a Churchill burger and it was sooo thick and juicy! I'd definitely get that again. Overall, I liked it and you may like it too. My bill for all 3 things came out to $68 which isn't too bad because i got big portions and a lot of food!

We were there at 5:15 PM on a Thursday afternoon and it was 82 degrees Fahrenheit with a nice breeze so the rooftop was perfect. I ordered the Ale Braised Shepherds Pie with of course, an ale! The ale was quenching and the pie made a good appearance! There was a perfectly baked pastry on top. It was light and crunchy and was a nice twist over a mashed potato-based pie. Unfortunately, it was a bit too salty. It wasn't so bad that I wanted to send it back but it was definitely more salty for my taste. There were nice chunks of beef but the larger pieces were slightly dry and chewy. Our server Matt took good care of us (like our request to rearrange the tables and chairs to accommodate our group) so kudos to him.

Their steak prices have gone up a bit, but the quality matches the price. I started with the French onion soup, a must. It's a hearty portion it a nice size crock. For the entree I had the steak frites + truffle fries. The filet was one of the best I've had in a while. It was a nice, thick cut. Prepared perfectly with a nice sear on the outside. The fresh cut fries were delish. Restaurants come and go in Savannah, but Circa 1875 is a staple!

I definitely do not regret our decision as we had a great meal. The interior ambiance of the restaurant truly transports to another place, it is truly beautiful. Our server was so gentle and gave us many recommendations on things to try and even accommodated some of requests. We started with the Espresso Martini and non-alcoholic French 75 (my first time) and these were both great. For appetizers, we had the crab croquettes (cakes), escargots and caesar salad. Everything was delicious (including the complimentary bread) , and to our surprise the Caesar salad had a nice crunch with the addition of fried frog leg pieces (if I'm not mistaken). The main entrees were the stars of the night, while we were originally inclined to try their Steak & Frites, our server recommended the steak tips sautéed over mushroom sauce with pasta and this was the perfect match instead of the classical French fries pairing. We also had the Supreme Roasted Chicken with caramelized veggies and everything was cooked to perfection. We did not leave without dessert and tried their Créme Brûlée, and while it was runnier than usual, the flavor was there. We thought it needed more time. Overall a great experience while in Savannah!
