I overheard just how passionate the bartender was about taking care of the bands who come in to play. And it really showed. I caught a line up with Supernaut, Peace Pipe, and Dead Engine. All of them were amazing live, and the crowd was super supportive, too. So, between the heavy pours, friendly folx, and a great venue for live music...I found a new watering hole in Santa Cruz. It's been around forever, so I'm happy that some live music could put it on my radar. Next time, I'll bring a $1 bill to put on the ceiling.

The bartender welcomed us when we entered. We sat at the bar as we could look out the window and feel the heat from a heater. I had the calamari. It was perfect! The breading was crunchy. The calamari was tender. Hubby had a bacon cheese burger with onion rings. The burger was juicy and well seasoned. The onion rings were crispy and lightly coated. The dollars plastered on the ceiling and walls are fun to look at. You can't go wrong going to Haven Acres for lunch. We would return.
