Great place for lunch. Relaxing atmosphere. Friendly server. Tasty food. We wanted to try some place new. Searching Yelp we found Haven Acres. A short drive off I-5, the Haven sits on the edge of the San Joaquin River. The river was flowing west as the tide went out but we were treated to a show by a seal. The bartender welcomed us when we entered. We sat at the bar as we could look out the window and feel the heat from a heater. I had the calamari. It was perfect! The breading was crunchy. The calamari was tender. Hubby had a bacon cheese burger with onion rings. The burger was juicy and well seasoned. The onion rings were crispy and lightly coated. The dollars plastered on the ceiling and walls are fun to look at. You can't go wrong going to Haven Acres for lunch. We would return. read more

This place is a vibe and we'll hidden. Out along the Delta in a trailer park, place has beer, good food for really good prices. Buckets of beer! Everyone working here is nice and they know the regulars. They serve you quick, great place to just hang out with a couple friends, enjoy some beers and music along the river. read more

What a unique, cool place to have a beer and a drink on a warm day. The two young people working the outdoor dining did a great job keeping up with us and the other customers. Hearing laughter and happy voices tells me this is a well run establishment located right in the heart of this small home community. The service was excellent and the onion rings were great. It's because it gets too busy and they get too overwhelmed and can't handle it but that does not give a right to be rude to people !!! either hire more employees because you guys need the help or don't work here at all if you have a bad attitude!!! absolutely disgusting service it's unfortunate cause l've been coming here for years never been told I couldn't move outside, but now I will never step foot in that place again and don't recommend anyone to! The food here is really good. There is an outdoor area where you can sit and enjoy the water. They have specials during the week. Tuesday is Taco Tuesday, Wednesday is chicken wings, and my favorite is $5 hamburgers on Thursday. They make a great burger. Yes, it's a bar, but they don't forget it's a restaurant too. I love going out there is so peaceful and I love the oldies music that they play. I just really like it up there.

My 1st visit there. Waiters were exceptionally nice and helpful. My cheeseburger was great, as were the onion rings. Atmosphere was great. I didn't expect a $7.00 meal. I sat on the balcony, overlooking the river. There was a nice breeze off the water. We were a party of 6. We all had 1 drink- the bill for drinks was $33. People were boisterous. This is my husband's favorite watering hole. I personally hate bars, but occasionally he can drag me here. Great view of the water, pretty decent food selection, a tad more than just bar food. Chance is an awesome bartender and cool dude to chat with. They have outdoor seating, just make sure you watch your step. It's not a bar for everyone, it's a local bar in a trailer park, so don't expect a ton of bells and whistles. Great jukebox, darts, and a punching game. Very off the beaten path! Our intention is as to go elsewhere for dinner but we were too early so I went on Yelp to find something else in the Lathrop area we had not been too yet. I would had never known this place existed as it took you on a frontage road then off in the boondocks. It's located within a mobile home park, right on the delta. We were hesitant but decided to give it a try. Food is basic bar food, burgers, wings, sandwiches but good enough. The bartender was very nice and helpful. New to the area avid water lover so been trying to hit all the places near to us. And this i place did not disappoint ! It's a bit off the main channel but a hidden gem it is! Food was as expected good, but this isn't a 5* place and nor should anyone expect it to be. The whole vibe is kept up by their amazing staff. I cannot for the life of me remember the bartenders name but she was super tall w curly hair, if ya get her your drink is gonna be amazing. Service was fast with a smile from every staff. You can see the cooks in the kitchen you know no funny stuff is going on in there. I'm not sure is it's intentional but the staff is also very funny. It's like a free show, what an amazingly enjoyable time! Also it's kid friendly , the kids got hooked up with what the bartender called a kiddie cocktail (Shirley Temple) If i could give the place more stars i would! This was our first time coming here and it was a happy surprise. Kind of hidden away with a small parking lot. They are in the marina and a small mobile home park. Inside the bar is small, maybe holds about 60 people max. Some tables and some seats at the bar. They have 2 TV's at the bar but none in the back area where the tables are. I hope they add one otherwise you could not watch any games on the TV. Bartender, I think Jennifer, was very very nice. Since it was our first time she helped explain the menu. They were out of wings that Sunday (bummer) but other stuff was pretty good. We had the fish tacos and I had a veggie wrap. We also tried the appetizer sampler plate. We played darts, they could use some new darts as the ones that are there are worn and old. My husband still beat me....... We had beer and soda so I can not comment on the drinks. It was after a big storm so the water was high, but there are outside seats on the water and you can park your boat if you come from the water. Overall a fun afternoon and full from the food. A co worker wanted to come here for lunch and glad we did. The food was amazing! The staff was super friendly and helpful. There is like 3 or 4 electronic dart boards and a punching bag game. Lots of indoor and outdoor seating. Bathrooms were big and clean/stocked. Coors light,angry orchard,lagunitas and blue moon on tap as of 3/31/22. There's a bar top you can sit at,a community high top table and tons of regular tables scattered around. Great view of the river from inside and out. Some TVs. I'm gonna bring my hubby. I went today for Thursdays $4 cheeseburgers and while the cheeseburgers and zucchini were great, it took the waitress 26 minutes (timed) to reach our table and take our order. She did recognize and apologize for the long wait, but nevertheless the food and price made up for the long wait. It should be mentioned however, that the establishment was packed and the ambiance was well what you expect to see at a bar at 12pm. read more

It was a beautiful Sunday afternoon & it was Sean's 2nd day on the job.
